Honestly, confidence on the mountain changes so much, a friend of mine skis and was always lagging behind me since I was pushing myself and I learned a lot faster. As soon as he got his confidence up and started trying some new things like skiing through the trees and hitting some jumps, his skill boosted exponentially.

You guys don't know what icy days are lmfaoo, that would be perfect conditions out on the east coast USA, Icy days are when the trail literally becomes a bobsled run, and we still ride then 😂

if anyone is wondering he's quoting the best french comedy "les bronzés font du ski" where a woman says "j'y vais mais j'ai peur" (going but scared) before going downhill on skis and of course she ends up injured, usually we say this tongue in cheek when we know we might fall, I don't think there's a dub of it but definitely a subtitled version you should really look for it, american directors never get that "nasty people" humor right when they adapt those movies, british are better at that but go way darker (too dark ?) with things like league of gentlemen

Im not into skiing or snowboarding but seeing this ski bike makes me want to go to the nearest ski resort and try it. I like how you can just easily remove yourself from the equipment compared to snowboarding and skiing.

Yoann’s Mario woooaaaaa was the best part of the video.
Was watching this video up until I actually got out on one and man I LOVED IT. I ate it hard EVERY run and I do mean EVERY run but it was phenomenal. The ability to gain speed was insane. The blue squares were terrifying to me every time and were where I fell the most trying to slow myself down. I'm buying one shortly. I also enjoyed blasting by the snowboarders who had to unbind on the flat bits.

Hey Loam Ranger! You should try some different skis on that beast! Check out Liberator Skis from Syndicate Skibike Designs. Shared sidecut gives mass control on all conditions. Ice isn’t as bad with them and you can handle higher speeds and jumps more comfortably. With my skis I’ve gotten close to 60mph and others have gone more! Hit me up if you have questions!

Haha, that snowboarder asking "how do you guys brake" takes me back to that 1985's Skiers vs Snowboarders video and their argument "Snowboards are dangerous, they have no brakes". There's something ironic in there
not ironic, it's an honest question since these bikes have no brakes like usual bikes. It's obvious how they brake once you see them ride of course but maybe he didn't before he asked
@@mkmbstudio6950 I get that, but it's funny that a snowboarder has the same question obout these bikes as skiers had about snowboards back in the day. Although all three brake in the same exact manner, just slide sideways. The intonation is much different in this video though but the question the same

I just started ski biking, and I made my own. It's an old gt agressor frame with ski blades mounted with some brackets I got online, but I'd love to upgrade maybe I'll check those out.

Looks like so much fun! I don’t have any friends crazy enough to try it out with me. I picked up a tngnt drift this season. So far spent a few hours on it at Louise. I’m having trouble scrubbing my speed because they’re just so damn fast!! I’ve noticed you left your’s pretty much all stock, I’ve already switched to a 3 in riser dirt jumper bar I feel like it lowers my center of gravity for better control. Thinking about upgrading the fork as well. Hope to see you on the hill one day happy shredding 👊🏼👊🏼

I'm just curious how much easier it would be to learn and ride if pedals would be positioned in offset like in normal bike, and you could set them depending on your goofines.

@@kubagornowicz True, but I'd say that also has to do with the fact that we feel a sudden change in tension. Think about the downhill winning run without a chain...

dumb question: how do you get the bike on the lift? im going to my first ski park with my tngnt carve next week, and i dont really know how to load it onto the chair...
We just rode gondolas that day, but for chairlifts, you just stand beside the bike, let the chair sweep under, pushing you and the bike forward, then grab the top tube and pull the front of the bike back towards you. I believe there are a couple of vids on YT that cover it as well. Have fun!
