I don’t think she ever truly loved fuheng. She talks about his status, his accomplishments, and his looks - more than his actual self. She talks a lot about being in a minor official family and that being a servant was the worst for her, she despised having to go into the palace as one just bc her family was too low. Once she’s married to him, all she mentions is the fact her family status is now raised and that she no longer has to worry about pleasing the empress. She speaks with a different air almost immediately after being married which proves how much she wants to seperate herself from that past self

The reunion with the Empress was extremely satisfying. But didn't like the scene between Yingluo and the Emperor - he was fooled way too easily by Yingluo change in behaviour, unless he just wanted to give her a way out, so it was satisfactory for him.
I think he was testing her character; her loyalty, her dedication to the Empress - and she passed. She made it clear to him (both directly and through her fake-coquettish behaviour) that she had zero interest in crawling into his bed, and only wanted to return to Changchun Palace to be with the Empress. Which is why, when he told her to "get lost", he sent her straight to Changchun Palace, where she otherwise had no way of returning.
