As a dancer and beginner piano player, I wish to say "Thank You" for putting this up on RUclips and, "Superb Job" as well! I absolutely love the Grand Pas de Deux from Don Q! You did beautifully!! You are amazing!
I’m no music expert, but I’m sure that every other dancer who’s watched this will agree that it’s a really accurate and beautiful version of the pas de deux!
I would totally enjoy playing this piece if I played the piano. You sure show how much you enjoy this piece. Each time I listen to this pas de deux in my CD, my breathing is affected like I were executing the steps again, even as I listen to your video right now. You play beautifully! ...thank you.
Oh my.....! My favorite ballet and this great interpretation of that music.... You really made my life much happier...! Thank you for this...! You're really amazing Mr. Sing...!
I’ve been listening your beautiful Don Q. for couple years, I still love to listen this video so much!!! As a ballerina, I really want to dance with your wonderful piano…… I wish you up this on iTunes…..
Dear Mr Sing, Your piano performance is fantastic!, You play those excerpts in great detail & with such strong devotion. You also play as though you are a lover of great ballet music. I wished you could perform this wonderful score in its COMPLETE format. I have complete scores (on CD) of virtually all of the great ballets, performed by orchestras/symphonies all over the world; however, I've yet to hear (and/or find on CD) any complete scores performed only by piano. Of course, there are CDs of the pianist just playing "practice" pieces for dancers, but I'm not talking about those CDs. I wished I could find CDs of PROFESSIONAL piano performers, like yourself, who put their own interpretations into their music, while also playing the complete scores. May I ask, of all of the ballet excerpts you've played, which excerpt was the most challenging and/or difficult and do you have a favorite composer? I love Tchaikovsky, Minkus, Adam, Prokofiev, etc... however, I'm having trouble finding Auber's score on CD (his Grand Pas Classique). Thank you for your beautiful performances & please post more ballet pieces. You are a precious gem!
....and thank you, Anthony, for your transcription. He was a great British pianist, who sadly passed away three years ago. Sadly missed.
Oh no, how sad:(
