Love this. Brings tears to my eyes hearing about South Africa. We left 20 years ago. Came to ireland. For a better life. I married a lovely catholic Irish man. And expecting our 9th baby this year. Dear Maria, can you please share the name of the Bible Patricia showed us? Also, just FYI, Brits also speak very quickly! ;p As a foreigner living in the UK I missed half of what Brits were saying in casual conversation just because it all went by so fast! Lol
We will ask her. Re speaking our advice is to live in Liverpool for a few months, learn to speed listen and then return to any other (nearly any other) part of the UK and achieve 90% understanding first time every time.

It's called The Holy Family Catholic Bible. My grandad bought it for my granny in 1960, so not sure you'd get one like that today.
