I don’t remember what it was called but there is a variant for three players where you create a grid of nine, face up cards then each player takes turns taking a row or column. Never diagonally. So each player ends up with 2 or 3 cards. Any cards not taken after one round are thrown out and 9 new cards are put out. Take turns going first.
Awesome video and honestly deserves more views considering how difficult it is to find a consensus on solving the sub 8 person draft experience. Quick question. For the 5 pack-9 card draft, do you find it difficult to balance out colors? Or is that a difficult question to answer given the variance in cubes. FWIW I'm running a pauper cube w/ 419 cards and I'd hate to have a color feel left out or underwhelming.
I got a question about big deck draft while playing that i had a scenerio where a land taps sacs or you can get a land card from the deck to your hand how do you stop a player from like tutor something out to there hand in this form because the other cards like doom blade can be played as lands in this draft since limited or no lands are in the pool I know if a correct target would be in the pool say a basicland then the player would have to do that but what if it is not in the deck and you only have a llanwar elve say for the forrest you have to pick a forrest for the said card. can they tutor like this in this format because the cards can be played both as lands and the card? or are they only consider lands inside your hand?
Well mainly it's house rules, but I don't like tutors for Big Deck. If I get something like a fetch land I remove it from the game and just draw another card. You could crack it and find a land but I wouldn't let players tutor any card of that color. The rule of thumb should be if cards are in any other zone other than going into play, they should be what's on the card. Yet again you could modify this to work the way that best suits you.

I think you are talking about grid draft.
