I looked on You Tube see if I could another mixed media channel to watch, and co7ld not find even one that i liked. No one does what you do. Most are messy and overdone. I love this recipe, even though I am not a beginner. Your videos are the reason I am a mixed media artist and that I have a few art journals. As a teacher, I see the work involved in what you do, even though you make it look easy and simple. I look forward to all of your new videos, and have purchased many art supplies that you recommend. Art journal recipe: 1. use 2 sprays to add color 2. do some stenciling with those 2 sprays and water 3. add stamping, splashes, border on the background 4. pick a focal point (ephemera, die cuts, patterned paper, magazines) 5. create a cluster on one side of the page 6. add a quote DONE! share your creation on instagram and tag me @vickyp_gr if you followed the recipe! Aside: I had made my after-lunch tea to drink while watching your new art journalling video, but went to put in another load of laundry or something while it steeped and forgot to put my tea on the table. Great video Vicky and it's a quick and easy way to get yourself in gear when you are just in one of those creative ruts. Have you ever seen Karen Campbell on YT? She does mixed media and has the Hamburger system for layering. What mediums to lay down first, etc. Between her system and yours those are two really great ways to get to creating again.
