Hi, i have an on-grid 5KW system installed with ABB single phase string inverter. Can I upgrade it using Enphase by keeping the 5KW ABB + 3KW in Enphase
Can these enphase inverters can be used only as offgrid inverters - Without even connecting to grid ? Also can any batteries be used here or enphase encharge batteries are the only option ?

Yes possible, but Micro Inverter with single panel possible, connect 600+watt panel with IQ8P inverter current rating will be little higher than normal.

AC coupling is possible for hybrid. But your asking 2 on grid inverters have to confirm with Enphase Sir
