It’s actually funny because my doctor kind of looks like you and she’s very informative and made me feel so comfortable. My Pap smear didn’t hurt at all. It was so quick! 😇

@@DrJenniferLincoln yes it did! I have gotten the medicine that I need and I’m getting blood drawn, which sucks, but it will help with a lot of medical problems I have. 😊
@@anointedbychrist it went well! They did NOT do a pelvic exam ( turns out I didn’t need it) and they prescribed a birth control pill that should help! I found out that it wasn’t right for me and switched! If you get prescribed birth control and it doesn’t work for you, you can switch at ANY time! I take YAZ, but there are probably like, 50 different types of birth control pills out there. How your visit will go SOLELY depends on WHAT you’re going there for. FOR ME, i had intense period problems and nothing would fix it. The Appointment was mainly a questionnaire about me, my problems, and what they would try to do to fix it.she ordered blood work and I later found out that the bulk of my problems was high insulin. ( insulin is the number 1 hormone that controls EVERYTHING about the body. Yes, EVERY HORMONE IS CONTROLLED BY INSULIN!) (sorry, vented there for a second 😅) I take a pill for it called metformin and it really helps! I don’t know for sure what will happen to you at YOUR appointment, but the best advice I can give is: be calm, be honest, and be open to solutions that might be a little scary or inconvenient. Relax! It’s not as scary as it seems! 😁😁 just make sure you go with someone you trust and yeah! You should be fine! 😁 I’m praying for you and i hope it goes well! 🙏

You should do a video on the issue of doctors making fun of patients and judging them for their bodies, conditions, etc., and the kind of oath doctors have to swear by, the rights of the patients to report, etc., because it’s rare that we see stuff about it on the news or on RUclips but it still happens and calls for a reason to be worried about seeing any kind of doctor.
I have to go for not getting my period yet even though I should have years ago I’m still a minor so I’m scared I’ve been having panic attacks about it because I hate talking about “that” and feel super uncomfortable and it’s even more difficult when my doctor has to inspect I’ve been terrified and I feel like I’ll break out in tears in the middle of the appointment so basically I’m just wondering if you judge or comfort really nervous or uncomfortable patients
Any prep ideas for those who have experienced sexual traumas? I work with teens who have extensive traumas and would want to give then some resources and support.

So whatever clinic or practice you are going to should have a website that lists the doctors that practice there. When you call to make an appointment, you can request a certain doctor. In addition, I have some trauma, so my first visit, I did call and request a woman. Male doctors can be wonderful, but you should request whatever is going to make you the most comfortable.
Im so scared. I'm 16, I'm going to the gynecologist for painful periods. I've had painful irregular periods since I started which was 12. Im scared that I'll also get a male doctor. My primary care doctor referred me to the gynecologist so I have no idea if it's a girl or a male. I've also read horror stories from other people who have gone and I'm really scared

I got my period at 13 . I am 35 years old my period is on time but its brown for the four days and its light scared what the doctor might say
