wars game 1313 was probably the spiritual sequel to Bounty Hunter but it got cancelled when Disney bought Star Wars and stopped every projects in development.
LucasArts underwent a change in management in 2004, which resulted in most ongoing projects being outsourced or cancelled. We only barely got Republic Commando, as an example, and the sequel, Imperial Commando, never made it out of the conceptual phase. It's possible they were making a Bounty Hunter sequel, but it would've been part of that 2004 cull. If you look, there's a slew of LucasArts-developed games for Episodes I and II, but not Episode III, as a consequence of this cull. LucasArts internally developed and released at least one Star Wars game every year between 1995 and 2002. Any project started in 2002 and 2003 would've been part of the 2004 cull, and so we only got Republic Commando in 2005 before the company restructuring was complete. All this and more is on the LucasArts Wikipedia page, very easy to find and read. Please keep in mind that I said "LucasArts-developed" games; this doesn't apply to games published or licensed by LucasArts but developed by somebody else, such as Battlefront.
I like that they made the bounty scan run on slow motion now, you can actually read why people are wanted. The original game made it very difficult to get all bounties, especially in certain levels like the prison where everyone was running around trying to kill you. Not to mention some folks would just run off cliffs or get eaten before you could get to them lol.

@@bes5164 Yes and No. It would be an original story between episodes IV And V that would focus on Boba Fett before being hired by Vader to hunt down Han Solo.
I didn't expect them to make actual improvements to the game. 2:51 that screenshot is extremely worrying though. Not having button mapping is downright insulting. We had button mapping ever since the SNES FFS. It's unacceptable, even on consoles.
I'd assume the Hutt casts two shadows because Tattooine has two suns. I wonder if everything on Tattooine has two shadows. That'd be absolutely stellar attention to detail.
The “legacy controls” are still really weird, and I played the original version on Gamecube lots growing up. I wish Aspyr would let us remap them as we see fit with an update
I may just stick to the original on Gamecube since Dolphin Emulator adds one feature that makes the game way less frustrating to play: save states. So those annoying sections, I don't have to do in one go, I can just save right before it and if I fail, I can simply redo that section. It's the same reason why I'm playing with the fan made source port of Dark Forces rather than the Nightdive remaster, since that source port adds a quicksave feature.
Well Amazon Prime gave me the GOG version of the remaster today, and I played a bit. The lack of save states was, indeed, a problem since despite all the improvements to the controls, visuals and even scanning, I was trying to get the very last bounty of the first level and I ended up accidentally killing the guy since one enemy dropped the larger blaster and I shot him to death thinking I had the zipline equipped. Forced me to restart the whole level again. With save states, I could've saved right before that moment and then retried after that screwup. Still will keep that version installed, since the game does look nice, but I'll probably play the Dolphin Emulator version primarily until someone figures out how to do save states on PC.
Half the time I try to run diagonally, Jango just walks instead. I've tried compensating for this by adjusting the deadzones on it but that didn't help. I've used this same controller for other games and haven't had an issue with those. Is anybody else experiencing this?
Man I had the original from release back in the day, never disputed the people who liked it but could seldom pass the first level before quitting from frustration. Got the remaster on switch and my God it's night and day, the game is actually playable I'm lovin it.
Maybe it would have been a lot more work than I think but it would have been absolutely perfect for them to change his blasters to sound like they did in the movie
I always thought this game was underrated. Seemed to get bashed a lot for "clunky" controls. But I think that was just people who weren't good enough to master what was a pretty challenging game. Definitely a game that was worth doing!!!
I swear I remember reading somewhere yonks ago they had a sequel planned that focused on boba fett in his early years as a bounty hunter before it got culled?
Welp, you've sold me on it. I played it once or twice at a friend's house as a kid and vaguely remember enjoying it (despite my continuing utter inability to use a controller instead of mouse and keyboard), but wasn't sure if that was just nostalgia speaking.
Loved this game and growing up this was a test of friendship. Have you played bounty hunter? Okay friends for life then😂 hope this gets the exposure it deserves
I feel like controls and lighting alone are worth a try. Always hated the game cube controls and there were some super pitch black parts for no apparent reason. That being said, I think I´ll dust off the cube and give it another go
I mean it looks alright, idk. Tony Hawks 1+2 is to me the Gold standard of how to do a remaster. Alongside Crash Bandicoot and Spyro's remasters they really make an old game feel modern with the original game as a starting point. This feels like throwing a quick coat of paint on something and calling it a day.
This is a *minor* complaint, but did the original say "Marvel" for the comic book, because the comic, Open Seasons, was done by Dark Horse. I get that it's now all under Marvel, but Marvel didn't do any of the Star Wars comics from 1991-2014, Dark Horse Comics did.

You mean Star Wars 1313 minus Han Solo?
@@bes5164 Yes and No. It would be an original story between episodes IV And V that would focus on Boba Fett before being hired by Vader to hunt down Han Solo.
I can't unsee what Disney has done to Boba Fett. Genuinely ruined him for me.
I was playing the prison escape level last night. And man what a nightmare. I kept thinking how the hell did I beat this game as a kid 😂
Ehh, I still think emulators seem wrong. For all their improvements, there's just something about that makes me think I'm dirtying my hands.
Glad this game got the remaster treatment. Wasn't sure if they'd ever get around to it.
Man I had the original from release back in the day, never disputed the people who liked it but could seldom pass the first level before quitting from frustration.
Got the remaster on switch and my God it's night and day, the game is actually playable I'm lovin it.
I never got frustrated until the Mos Eisley level where the enemies get brains.
Aww. When I saw the flying and bounty system, I thought it was an open world Star Wars game at first. That's a shame, but it still looks fun!
Nice video. I loved the original, so I’ll have to check this one out eventually.
I hope Aspyr do the same work with Episode III videogame, such an underrated game!
Never played it before. Now I played it and yes, it is a nice game!
Maybe it would have been a lot more work than I think but it would have been absolutely perfect for them to change his blasters to sound like they did in the movie
Had fond memories of renting it in the video store on Friday afternoons.
I actually have some of those old trading cars somewhere saw them in the game and was like wait what I have those
As I don't have PS4/5, I will happily buy this remaster on Steam... sale.
I was addicted to this game
I always thought this game was underrated. Seemed to get bashed a lot for "clunky" controls. But I think that was just people who weren't good enough to master what was a pretty challenging game. Definitely a game that was worth doing!!!
And besides, the lore story is totally worth it if one's a huge Legends fan.
Surprisingly solid release from Aspyr. About time they learned
They also remastered the cutscenes and they look fantastic IMO
I swear I remember reading somewhere yonks ago they had a sequel planned that focused on boba fett in his early years as a bounty hunter before it got culled?
Flandrewi loved this gsme when i was a kid
Loved this Game
I loved causing Chaos in the Entertainment District on Coruscant
1:03 I'm still playing the battlefront classic collection despite the disappointing reception.
Would love to get re-releases of the Rouge Squadron trilogy. The final 2 being stuck on GC is criminal
Welp, you've sold me on it. I played it once or twice at a friend's house as a kid and vaguely remember enjoying it (despite my continuing utter inability to use a controller instead of mouse and keyboard), but wasn't sure if that was just nostalgia speaking.
I wanted a native PC version to play on my Steam Deck, so worth it.
That being said, I think I´ll dust off the cube and give it another go
Yes new flandrew !
Yo this was my first Star Wars game on the PS2 back in the day when i was a kid it got a remastered version nice 😊.
this is one of the best video games ever made and i wont be taking questions
I rather see a remake or for them to make it look like todays standards at least, this still looks pretty old.
they should do more better...looks like they are just High-res it up..thats all.
bruh a new bounty hunter/mando game would make so much money imo.
Excellent video thank you!
Anyone else notice that the Dug's house kinda looks like a pizza oven when it's being filled with fire? 🤔
I am extremly confused ... I can not find a remaster version for this game only the original i allready have for my ps4/5 😕
Am i missing something (is it a simple update ?) or is it only for PC or certain regions (im in Germany)
I cant find anything in the Playstore or on Google 😑 ?!
