I just made this blouse and THEN found your wonderful tutorial! Wow! Thank you for taking the time to put this together. Amazing! Looks lovely on you too!!
Thank you for sharing! I watched this video before I sewed up my own S9470. I happened to have some double sided tape and decided to use your invisible zipper method. Wow! Thank you! My zipper is completely invisible, smooth, and even. :)
Your top turned out beautiful! Love your method of inserting the invisible zipper using the sticky tape. Seems much better than using pins. I will have to give it a try. Thanks for showing us how to do it 😁💕
Thank you? Bought that pattern today on sale at Joann’s, had by passed it until I saw how the right fabric could look with it. And I haven’t seen anyone else doing a basting stitch along the sea line before positioning the zipper. Before invisible zippers, we did a lot of lapped zippers (as a kid and young adult) and always did it this way. How else can you get it perfectly installed? Mind you, I haven’t installed a zipper lately, been needing a lot of knit basics, but now that is done, I can play a bit. 😘🙏🏽
Thank you very much!! 😃 I know some may think that the basting and unpicking are extra steps but my zippers come out perfect every time. Previously I would more than not have to unpick and start over. My mother does all lapped zippers even when it calls for invisible. That's her comfort zone. I've only done that twice. Have fun playing!! Thank you for watching!!😃🥰
Thank you so much for the tutorial! I just bought the pattern last week and I can’t wait to try it. I do have one question. I would like to make the bottom half of the shirt a little longer. Do you think that will look good and what suggestions do you have for me if I do attempt that?
Hi there!! You are most welcome!!! Yes! I definitely think the shirt being longer would look great but I would do it by lengthening the peplum vs the shirt because of the pleats. Thank you for your comments!!🤩😃
Love it!!!! Ok pleats!!! Ok demonstration!!!! Ok back pattern pieces….💓💓💓

That blouse is beautiful on u! Great sewing. I do wanna ask if u did a full bust adjustment or did u grade the pattern or anything?
Hi there! Thank you so much! No, I sewed the pattern as is but I recommend lengthening the peplum if you have a larger bust.

Gorgeous. Was the satin difficult to work with? It’s so pretty but I haven’t done anything with it for awhile.
Thank you!! Not at all. It's not slippery like some of the other satin fabrics. This type is crepe back satin. ☺🥰
