I'm excited to have this series underway. I'm finally building a baseball team on this channel. I hope you enjoy the series. I wanted to talk about a few things regarding the series. So far I've actually found that it isn't taking as long as I thought to create an episode. I'm looking at posting this at least once a week, but I'm sure there will be plenty of weeks with more, including this first week of the series. An important thing I still have to learn is the pacing of the series. 162 games is a lot, especially with two minor league teams alongside. I'll look to your comments for certain series you want highlighted, as I will be simming quite a bit. I'll play some full games, do quick manage/playing in combination, and critical situations. I have some fun ideas that'll be on display later in the season. The beginning will probably move slowly as we learn who the players are and how good the team will be, but I expect the speed of the season to pick up after the first couple months. Especially after the All-Star break we will know if we're in the race or not. If you have any questions or feedback leave them here. I'm just excited to be working on this new project, and I was very happy with this debut episode.
I would do lots of quick managing, call all the shots but go in for crucial situations like a jam mid way through the game for instance or a chance to walk off in extra innings. That has made my franchise the most fun for me.
I'd recommend putting Buxton in the lead off spot and putting Dozier 3rd. You'll give Buxton more at bats for his development and give Dozier more RBI opportunities.
Ryan Andersen I was thinking the same thing, his biggest power threat shouldn't be leading off. you normally want contact/speed guys to give the 3/4/5 hitters RBI opportunities
Ryan Andersen ID recommend dropping Buxton to the 8 or 9 spot that way when Dozier does come up he may have some speed on base. we see where having Buxton at #3 hurt the team when he had an RBI opportunity. And Dozier at #1 isn't a bad choice. he's the best hitter on the team and deserves the most at bats. But he needs to bat #2 with Mauer leading off, with his high contact, and Dozier needs more protection behind him. Put Sano at #3 behind Dozier.
Paulo Omena Don't let him hitting for power make you think he can't leadoff. He had a .340 OBP last year; the power is secondary. Compare his OBP to that of Buxton: .284
Let's go twins happy that your doing a franchise on my favorite team and the twins are doing good to start the season hopefully you can bring another World Series to Minnesota
I’ve watched this series at least 3 times. Now it’s January of 2024 It’s wild to me that we have broken the home run record in a single season but continued to lose in the postseason. We finally won a series last year before dropping 3 of 4 to the astros but we have made tons of progress. Crazy to think Miguel sano never panned out for more than 2 seasons and is out of our franchise 😢. Royce Lewis is overpowered and I expect this team in this upcoming 2024 season to win 95+ games and maybe just maybe bring back a title for the first time since 91. Go twins
This will be a great Series, I can´t wait for him to get into Scouting and finding new Players and developing them for the team or making Trades. Really like the presentation so far. :)
Super excited and glad to see this series! The one criticism/preference thing is I'm not sure how I feel about the past tense commentary, it kinda takes the in the moment aspect out for me, but I'm still lovin the series and really excited to see more.
Cane, I'm so pumped to see this finally underway. I have simulated a few seasons this year to see how people develop. I recommend keeping Berrios (obviously) Steven Gonsalves, Kohl Stewart, and Aaron Slegers to help develop your rotation. If your looking for a solid prospect that's pretty cheap to grab and could become a solid 2nd or 3rd starter in the future look no further then Kansas City Royals pitcher AJ Puckett. I look forward to seeing how this plays out you always do our Minnesota teams justice.
Ben Carlson hope the Indians can actually beat you guys this year. We beat the Tigers every game but couldn't keep up with the twins. But hey, that's baseball...
Great first series even though the first 2 games were rough! Good to see the team doesn’t quit and got that clutch win in the final game of the series!
Cane, don't forget to scout. The draft comes up quicker than you think and if you don't do enough scouting you can end up just taking a guess on most of your picks.
Hey great 1st series. I really like the 3 game set up. Only suggestion I have is move Dizier down and Buxton up. No reason to have your power hitter hitting 1st. If Buxton gets on and Dozier hits a homer that's 2 runs instead on if 1.
I am really excited for this series, just please don't start doing crazy trades, make sure when trading to make sure it makes sense for both teams and make it realistic
Pleasantly surprised by how quality this first episode was. Gameplay was exciting. Commentary was fluid for a football guy and will only get better as the series progresses. Background music made it enjoyable as well. As long as there are exciting moments like this in each episode, 162 games should fly by. On another note, I see a lot of comments about Buxton hitting leadoff. That'd be a mistake. His on-base skills are not close to where they need to be to warrant that. Keep him toward the bottom. Also, I have no problem with Dozier hitting first. He's your best player; it's important to get him plenty of at-bats. Twins are doing that in real life; just make sure you leverage him with singles hitters in front. The number three position in the lineup is one of the most overrated ideas in baseball, since many of its base/out scenarios are low leverage, and therefore, less important than the four and even the five slot in the order. Very excited for this series. Keep up the good work. EDIT: I just saw the lineup, Dear God, move Buxton out of the three hole. He's a nightmare. Platoons will be your friend.
+Matthias R I've seen so many talk about Dozier at 1 and I'm doing that because it's what the Twins are doing. Buxton is your ideal leadoff, if and when his OBP is reasonable.
cane you have to go to quick manage if you want to manage a game, you can tell your pitcher how to pitch, make subs, tell your batters how to hit, bunt, steal etc. it really is quite nice 👍
Byron buxton batting third, Brian dozier batting lead off coming off a 42 homer year, spending 5 minutes of my life introducing the almighty Twins franchise, do you actually think MLB the show is real life? Aggravating, just absolutely aggravating!
It really felt liked he had to work his way out of a lot of jams he cruised early in the 6th But I would have had someone warming already in case of a quick inning
I should have. Need to manage that better. It'll be a constant battle this year between picking either a tired starter, or a fresh reliever that isn't that good.
I decided to rewatch this series out of the blue, funny this is the top comment because Tebow just announcement his baseball retirement a few hours ago.
I word of advise from a non-subscriber(yet). It probably wouldn't matter much to many people, but I listen with a high quality pair of headphones. I often hear the pop of your mouth with certain sounds. I think a pop filter will do you great. Will be checking on on this series looking for a good franchise mode lets play besides the one I currently watch.
First young player I like is Miguel sano because he can hit a lot of homers. Second Jose berrios I know he did not do good in the year before but give him a couple years then he will get better. Third Byron buxton he’s speed is so good and he can be a very good player much like Jose altuve. Fourth max Kepler I don’t know much about him but he is a great outfielder. Number 5 is nick Gordon I don’t see him getting to the majors anytime soon
I'm excited to have this series underway. I'm finally building a baseball team on this channel. I hope you enjoy the series.

Cane, I do a play one, sim five style when I play Franchise. That way, you advance through the season somewhat and you still get to use every pitcher.
MrHurriicane do you know when super mega baseball 2 comes out?
Is a Kalispell dynasty supposed to come out today? Or was that an Error at the end
MrHurriicane how much do you know about baseball
I'm a diehard Minnesota fan in all sports which I why I love your channel
I know I’m three years late but props for playing the entire 9 inning games throughout the series
I would do lots of quick managing, call all the shots but go in for crucial situations like a jam mid way through the game for instance or a chance to walk off in extra innings. That has made my franchise the most fun for me.
Sounds like you'll enjoy episode 2 based on these requests.
Ryan Richardson I do this through the 6th inning in all of my games and then actually play 7-9.
Win by error. That's certainly a funny way to go out and get a W.

But he needs to bat #2 with Mauer leading off, with his high contact, and Dozier needs more protection behind him. Put Sano at #3 behind Dozier.
Ryan Andersen Absolutely not. Buxton doesn't nearly reach base enough to warrant hitting him leadoff.
Dozier can't leadoff, he's the Power hitter being 3rd or 4th
Paulo Omena Don't let him hitting for power make you think he can't leadoff. He had a .340 OBP last year; the power is secondary.
Compare his OBP to that of Buxton: .284
Probably the most anticipated series for me ever on your channel. So excited. I love how in depth the franchise is in the show
Still watching three years later!!!!!
Great to see someone finally doing a franchise with my favorite team
I absolutely love this please do like 30 years of this franchise
I come back a watch this so many times...the beginning was like you were the inspiration of the season (Probably doesn't make sense)
Just got home from the Pirates 9-2 loss to the Reds so Im glad I can cheer 1 team to a victory. Great video, excited for this franchise
The show 19 is the best and this it is the best to
Let's go twins happy that your doing a franchise on my favorite team and the twins are doing good to start the season hopefully you can bring another World Series to Minnesota
Idk if it was intentional but I enjoyed how Tonkin came in and hit a mondesi after buxton was hit
+Jalen Rumfelt The commentary talked about it possibly being retaliation but it was just a bad pitch.
Really been looking forward to this series and the first episode didn't disappoint with that epic win in the third game
Not me coming back to this franchise because I cannot wait for more Rockies
I was able to watch Buxton when he was in Cedar Rapids during his minor league time. he was really good. hope he can do well in the majors.
I’ve watched this series at least 3 times. Now it’s January of 2024 It’s wild to me that we have broken the home run record in a single season but continued to lose in the postseason. I know nothing about baseball but I'm still watching this series
Being a twins fan and being from Minnesota I think this series will be awesome
Great work Cane! Excited to see what is to come!!
Man, if baseball was this fast, I'd watch every game! Excited for this series!
i am so excited to see you play this game with the minnesota twins
I'm excited to see what the future hold for Max Kepler, he's becoming one of my favorites in the Majors
As I’m watching this and seeing this, I think you’d be impressed by Keplers play in the past couple seasons
Jose Iglesias had a similar walk off hit last season where he just beat it out down the line. Very exciting video👍🏻
Please dont ignore these comments saying to fix the lineup. Great video though looking forward to more

Wow I got happy seeing you are doing a MLB the show franchise. Keep em coming

Hell yeah Cane! i'm super excited for the series! the best franchise channel on youtube. much love from Brazil
That last game was great to watch this really gets me excited for the season
So awesome to see you're finally doing an MLB franchise! This should be interesting
Cane, don't forget to scout. The draft comes up quicker than you think and if you don't do enough scouting you can end up just taking a guess on most of your picks.
Japan introduced me to baseball... It's quickly becoming one of my two favourite sports
Hey great 1st series. I really like the 3 game set up. Only suggestion I have is move Dizier down and Buxton up. No reason to have your power hitter hitting 1st. If Buxton gets on and Dozier hits a homer that's 2 runs instead on if 1.
the bullpen is very good so far great work from tyler duffey and taylor rogers
I'm excited to see Buxton develop into a superstar!
First video was a good one. Cant wait to see how you format the gameplay for the series.
Super super super excited about this series. Looking forward to see what you do with it
I am really excited for this series, just please don't start doing crazy trades, make sure when trading to make sure it makes sense for both teams and make it realistic
great episode. This is easily my favorite series already
This is awesome can't wait to see nick Gordon and that minors pitchers
Gonna rewatch the whole series why not!
Can you upload this series 3-5 times a week? I'm excited for this series so I can't wait for more
I'm going to love this series Cane!

MrHurriicane agreed but I’d trade for tebow
This was amazing so exited to see the rest of this series plz post often
I loved last year with our DH Santana, and their pitcher and outfielder Santana. Confusing as all hell.
I love this series keep up the good work
I'm really excited for this series!
This is going to be a great series
Love this series, keep it going
cane you have to go to quick manage if you want to manage a game, you can tell your pitcher how to pitch, make subs, tell your batters how to hit, bunt, steal etc. it really is quite nice 👍
I think this will be a great series man, I'm a twins fan btw.
Byron buxton batting third, Brian dozier batting lead off coming off a 42 homer year, spending 5 minutes of my life introducing the almighty Twins franchise, do you actually think MLB the show is real life? Aggravating, just absolutely aggravating!
This game is interesting with the little quirks, like the random errors that the CPU commits.
So excited for this new series!
Should have pulled santana after the Gordan homerun he was not performing well
Didn't have the pen ready yet. Santana was cruising and had 2 outs so I figured he'd go 6, then we warm up while we hit. It went downhill fast.
It really felt liked he had to work his way out of a lot of jams he cruised early in the 6th But I would have had someone warming already in case of a quick inning

Trade for Tim Tebow
I decided to rewatch this series out of the blue, funny this is the top comment because Tebow just announcement his baseball retirement a few hours ago.
ohhhhh mannnn looks just like the stadium in real life i need this game baddd
Rooting for ya for every game except when facing my Royals haha
I'm a twins fan and my family and I have a huge rivalry with the brewers so if you could highlight those series it would be great
Love this so far! Keep it up!
This team has potential with sano and buxton etc probably gonna be 2 years or 3 to be solid team to that contend for a championship
Can't wait to see Sano develop
exactly what i was waiting for sweet

as a tigers fan im looking forward to this.
Love it cane your so exciting to watch
Make a new series for the show 21 plz
YEAH!!! A twins series!!!
Great series I believe in Buxton
mrhurriicane mlb franchise series!?!?! am i in heaven?? :D
Love this Twins are my Hometown team:) I would send Buxton down to AAA if he's anything like real life and is what 3-32 so far with 20 Ks :(
Wow, good game. also you really need to stop chasing, and get a good chance to get some hits.
I like baseball,football,and basketball
First young player I like is Miguel sano because he can hit a lot of homers. Second Jose berrios I know he did not do good in the year before but give him a couple years then he will get better. Third Byron buxton he’s speed is so good and he can be a very good player much like Jose altuve. Fourth max Kepler I don’t know much about him but he is a great outfielder. Love it! Can't wait to see more!!
Can't wait your lit bro🔥🔥🔥
You should upgrade your team's coaches. It will help increase the morale and ultimately improve the overall ratings for your players
YES!! i was getting tired of just football.
I like the pace of the games
THIS IS THE PLAYOFFS
This was pretty great
great video cane.
Bring this back
I hope Buxton develops, I really like him.
Alright! That was cool Man! Hopefully we can get em in game two. Or series two. Is it home or away?
What difficulty are you on
Dozier is your best power hitter put him at the 3 or 4 spot to get him more rbis Buxton has the speed to be a leadoff hitter
#TradeForTebow
