I agree with AGV1973 at 14:03 in the timeline when he opens the panel by the generator I see a circuit board with a power transistor on it .There were NO transistors in the 1940'S . So Someone has maintained and even improved things here . Looks like a good place to set up an Amateur radio station

Nice to see older bunkers not stripped and vandalized.
Now that it's on RUclips for over a year it probably is now. It never fails when a youtuber posts an "abandoned" place that is untouched on here in under a year that place gets found and salvaged by meth addicted copper thieves.

I have several lawn mowers with Briggs and Stratton engines...very dependable. No problems. I also have a generator with the B&S engine and it is very finicky. Won't start after sitting, even though all the fuel has been ran out of the carburetor before storage.
Enjoy that healthy fresh air as you drive straight into the bunker
2012 demilitarized. No mold yet and all ventilation is still functional. Cold was bunker ;-) no problems

Looks like pretty up to date fuse box and wires. Maybe someone restored the wiring because of their condition. Very incredible. I would use this myself as a fallout shelter. Can’t believe how nice and clean it looked down in the bunker. GREAT FIND.

Super Video, ich bin seinerzeit in der Sperrtuppenschule eingerückt und kenne solche Bunker ganz gut. Das das Stromaggregat noch läuft ist echt unpackbar. : )

Mein Vater und ich haben ein Fendt Dieselroß aus einer Scheune geholt, dass mindestens 30 Jahre nicht mehr lief. Ein paar Sekunden orgeln mit einer neuen Batterie und wir sind drauf nach Hause gefahren! :) Ein Wunder dass der Diesel nicht eingesulzt ist über die Jahre.
An updated and maintained, modernized system, for sure, with integrated circuitry even, but still very interesting.

Great video. Nice bunker. Interesting how the remaining equipment varies so much from position to position; no wall beds, but the electrical system is present. With the Cold War heating up again, I bet Austria wishes it hadn't demilitarized most of these bunkers. Even with the tank turret removed, many could still be used for soldiers for observation, machine gun or anti-vehicle teams. The subtitles are appreciated. Thanks for sharing.

I lived in Vienna, Austria for 4 years. Area near the Danube metal detecting you can find buttons, musket balls from Napoleons time there. My father found a hillside covered with landmines just outside Vienna. Lot's of history there from Castles to WWII items. Pretty cool stuff. I wonder if the one Castle is still there, it had a building in the middle from WWII we found lot's of goodies there. In the basement was writing from WWII on the wall. I probably could figure it out where the place is. I had went a few times.

Guten Tag! Ich weiß es ist oft nicht einfach die Videos nicht vor zu springen (auch mir passiert das ;-)) aber bitte Leute versucht auch die Geschichte ab 0:15 zu lesen. Bitte! Das ist ein Bunker aus Zeiten des Kalten Krieges ;-) der wurde erst ca.2012 demilitarisiert. Beste Grüße

Tolles Video, danke. Das war der Bunker, in dem ich gestorben war, die Treppe hochgelaufen und von einem Bajonett in den Rücken gestochen worden war.

Vergaser leer laufen lassen, dann springt er auch in 10 Jahren wieder an. So wie Ihr ihn zurückgelassen habt, nicht.
The Engine wouldn't be likely to start after all this time if the last users didn't close the gasoline cock and let it run until the carburettor was out of fuel. Leaving it like you did, will make an opening and cleaning necessary if someone tries to start it in a few years. Go back, make sure the fuel cock ist closed, and let it run until it runs out of fuel. BIf there is a screw at the bottom of the crab, loosen it until the remaining gasoline left the carb, and tighten it again.

Your so lucky to be able to visit such unique and historically interesting places. In the UK all we have are the old cold war R.O.C (royal observer corps) posts, which are dotted about, but usually are vandalized beyond recognition.

Seid Ihr nicht mal zurück und habt das repariert? Wie fein wäre ein Update im Bunkerlicht mit Aggregat. Mich freut das das PengZeng noch feuert. Moderner Sprit ist nach nem halben Jahr Sondermüll... Wenn Ihr dem Kleinen noch ein Kännchen frisches Öl mitbringt freut er sich bestimmt. Früher haben meine Eltern und ich kurz vor Villach in Töplitz immer Station gemacht auf dem Weg nach Jugoslavien, das war schön, ich mag Österreich.

Those u-shaped pieces of steel that make up the ladder are called rungs in English. The hinged cover that stopped people falling down the hole is called a trapdoor in English. Another good video. Thanks.

U.S.B. Austria All good. It is much better to do something and then listen to people’s comments than it is to waste time trying it get it all perfect from the beginning. You learn more and learn faster that way. I still do and I am 57 now.

Den Auspuff wieder dicht gemacht und schon hätte man eine kleine nette Unterkunft. Des ding wird auch in 50 Jahren noch laufen. Man müsste höchsten vllt. mal das Rohr nach außen reinigen, denke mal das des ziemlich dicht sein wird.

I recently started a channel myself and try to upload at least once or twice a week. Nothing too spectacular yet, but it's winter here and I don't get out much in the cold. I do a lot of abandoned exploration in the summer myself and I'm hoping to get at least a few videos up here and there. Nothing too crazy like a lot of you guys have posted. But atleast something. I've been watching a lot of really cool videos lately and this stuff motivates me to get back out there and explore.

Firstly, thanks for doing we non German speakers the courtesy of subtitles. Secondly, I've learned a piece of Australian military history. Back in the 1970s, the Australian Army bought Unimogs as their light truck/troop transport vehicle. They also bought Centurion and Leopard tanks. I had no idea the Centurion was German too
If it would be Australian you wouldn't need subtitles... :D,but in Austria they speak German.Lets be honest Austria same as Germany haven't been allowed to keep standing army after ww2.They have active force of 15000 man.
Mechknight73 - The Centurion tank is actually British. It was commonly used by many countries as a Heavy Tank during the 1950's to 1980's including such countries as Sweden. It is probably still in service somewhere.
In Australia we used them in Vietnam for a while and they were replaced by the Leopard during the late 1970's.

i do not do not understand what they are saying , but amazed that it even almost started , new gas/diesel and new spark plug and away you go . years ago they built things to last , now it is just junk so they can make you have to bye more down the road .
В щите радиатор, на нём мощные диоды, это похоже на зарядное устройство, и ещё отходящая линия, возможно переменного тока с генератора. Мы бы этот генератор стартонули.

you´re right, this bunker is an Cold War Bunker. Its from the "Raumverteidigung" concept = area defence concept 1968 - c.2010
Very interesting video, was the bunker abandoned in 2010 since the concept 1968-2010 or was it abandoned before that? Many of the things looks "functional" and the water bottle in the trunk.

Wenn ich mir als Elektrofachkraft die Bauteile im Schaltschrank des Motors so ansehe, sehe ich Siemans Schalter in der Tür, die vielleicht gerade mal 7-10 Jahre alt sind, länger ist der Bunker nicht außer Betrieb, weil diese Schalter vorher rotbraun waren und seitdem erst schwarz, soweit ich weiß. Hab halt an der Arbeit täglich mit Alt- und Neuanlagen zu tun, deshalb fällt mir das auf, weil das ne scheiß Arbeit ist umzurüsten, wenn was kaputt geht, da die Systeme nicht kompatibel miteinander sind. Also sprechen wir mal von 5 Jahren Stillstand, hat sich also gut gehalten der Motor. Tolles interessantes Video.

Buy it from government insulate it properly including water proof walls floor ceiling etc wouldn't be cheap mind but would extend lifespan usability of it for many more generations plus it could be made a viable usable bunker in times of crisis

That Generator engine is a Briggs and Stratton built somewhere from the late 1950's to the late 1970's. It also had a model aluminum Generator housing. Some of this is old but some is much newer. Wonder what the purpose was?
