so after my first ride back in 4 weeks at Cwmcarn, I thought it was time to build the confidence back up on some rooty trails, and there is no better place for that than the forest of dean .

Exactly what's just happened to mine mate, nx hg cassette and free hub, unfortunately mate you can't bodge it as the cassette is waring into the hub splines, I had to buy a new freehub chances are the cassette is also warn so maybe a new one too, on a positive note I subscribed bud😂😂😂 cheers from Brizol!

if the cassette is a HG type maybe it needs a spacer at the back of it, some do, may have chewed the freehub splines a little though looking at fore and aft movement. good to see you back at it, would be a shame to just quit, although i do get why you thought of it, seen similar things happen to friends on rides before, dents the confidence.

I had exact same noise on my cube e-bike, thought it was the motor but just a £15 tighten of the cassette at the local bike shop 🙌🏾

Yep I had to put a spacer on and tighten did the trick after weeks of driving me mad
