We do stockings and one bigger gift from Santa for each kid but their main gift comes from mum and dad as do all their gifts under the tree. I love the idea of family gifts!!

In our house we never said from Santa or us. We wrapped the kids gifts in their own special paper and never put tags on them. Then they could decide as they opened them if the gift was from us or Santa. By the time they were done with Christmas Day they had no idea what was from whom. When they got older we continue the same tradition and they have the nostalgia with their own special paper.

We do the same except we say on the tags from mum and dad. My son has asd level 2 and although he recognises Santa he doesn't understand that "Santa" brings the toys.

I agree with you, finding the stocking stuffers is the most fun!! I miss getting all of the little toys and the Pez! fro my son ... but I still try to scout out unique things. ... My brother/sister in laws always did the sacks for their 4 kids ... PS... the Boppee thingy is a lot of fun!!!

    Hi Brittany
Thanks a million for great ideas for stockings n family games.
My great nieces n nephews live either in a different state or 2 hours away now but before the pandemic my house was full of presents that Santa left here. It was a tradition going back to when their parents, my nieces n nephews, were tots and my parents were still here. They all stand n listening how Santa parked his sleigh in the backyard while the reindeers waited n played with our two dogs. PopPop had to clean up a mess of poop, lol!. They ask a million questions…omg, the funniest. In fact about a month ago, my great nephew in Florida wanted to know , “Aunt Kathy, do you know if Santa’s going to be coming to your house this year?” I didn’t know whether I was going to laugh or cry.
So I enjoy seeing what you get your kids. Brings me joy and wonderful memories.
    Thanks , Brittany.
Have a fantastic and blessed weekend with your family.😊😊😊

OMG. Don't spill the beans is a game that I grew up on too being a late 90's kid. I got it when I was about 2-3 year old and it was a great game growing up. I also grew up with Mancala. I have memories playing it with my older sister and family and it was a great game as well. Kylie and Bryson would definitely appreciate it more, Finley probably when she's a little older. We always celebrated the night before with my grandparents. We are very german so we celebrated the german/european way, with the St. Nicholas putting money and candy and oranges in your shoes. Such a great video! I enjoyed watching!!

We do “St Nick” here in Wisconsin. So he fills the stockings on the night of December 5th every year. And personally, our family does majority of gifts from Santa and just a few from Mom/Dad. That’s just how my family has done for generations. Always so interesting to hear others traditions. I know of so many different ways people do presents/Christmas and learned you just gotta do what works for your family and brings you and yours joy/happiness.

I 100% agree! I love to hear how other people do it! I grew up in Pennsylvania, and we did St Nick as well but he filled our shoe

I remember 2 occasions growing up that made me do Santa different for Eden. 1. My mum labelled everything from Father Christmas and I remember one year opening gifts and saying “what! Another one from Father Christmas. He got me so much” (or something along those lines!) and my mum said “well when it says Father Christmas it’s really from mum and dad” WHAT? How does that work?
Then another year I went in my parents room for something in the run up to Christmas and the wardrobe was like slightly open. Ofcourse curious kid I opened it and found a stack of toys and all the things and the whole Santa thing was ruined forever (but I was too scared to tell because I thought I’d not get anything if they knew I didn’t believe any more because I had much older siblings who would get like snack baskets with nuts and chocolate bars and oranges - and probably money - and I didn’t what THAT!!! So I kept quiet for a couple more years!)
I’ve always told my daughter Santa brings the stockings and 1 or 2 main gifts and the rest are from whoever buys them partially so he doesn’t get all the credit and also because I have no where to hide a stack of gifts without it being obvious. Normally it’s not a massive gift Santa brings but this year she’s asked for a Barbie dreamhouse and I told her he may not bring the big one since it’s so expensive and he doesn’t usually bring things that big but genuinely when I went to look the much smaller one which barely had anything and did nothing wasn’t much cheaper than the absolutely massive one with accessories and sounds and music and all the things which I know she will flip for so Santa’s having a good year and bringing her that after all but I covered myself by telling her that it can’t always be the same kid that gets the big ticket gifts and so next year it’ll be a different kids turn to get a bigger gift and she’ll get a smaller item from him. Because I can’t be paying that much for a Santa gift every year

In our house, Santa does stockings (mostly consumables/things she needs ie toothbrush, socks, bubble bath with some edible treats and a few fun things mixed in) and one gift (not a super expensive one) + a couple small things (this year a puzzle book and robe). More expensive stuff comes from mom and dad, I really hope more people catch on to this!

When I was little, Santa would bring the one item I wanted the most, so usually my big gift (GameCube, unicycle, Wii, etc.), and that still seems most magical to me. I do agree with the "not wanting other kids to feel bad" point of view, though I don't remember specifically comparing Santa gifts, we bragged about everything we got LOL

We usually do the big gift from Santa and everything else from us. I really dont think the kids talk about what came from Santa and what came from the parents. Especially since many are not believers. I do overboard the stockings myself. The stockings are my favorite part.

Santa brings 1 gift not more than $25 on Christmas Day. Us parents get all the other gifts and fill stockings and we open them on Christmas Eve. Each kid we spend $250 and I don't really pay attention to prices on stocking stuffers. This year, I don't think I bought much so far and need to get moving on that. Getting a sack to put stockings in is smart. I didn't see those at my Target and I go often. LOL Do you still hang stockings too but put sack near tree?
Great stuff!! Love the games especially!
I want to film my kids presents but my oldest watches for sure, my middle I am not sure and my youngest, her friend watches mine sometimes and I don't want him telling her haha

All gifts come from Santa in our house. I am rethinking this though because I’d hate for another child’s feelings to get hurt.
