I watched the 1967 Football Final vs Meath and indeed right through to about 2005 Cork had so many great dual players on their teams, I can't think maybe other than Dublin, probably Offaly in 60 years no other team has had players in finals in both codes, Kilkenny don't play football, Kerry aren't anywhere near a hurling final, Galway is divided, Meath hurling is Kerry standard, Offaly is probably the one other team that would be dual players. Just one other little difference in 1967 the spelling in Irish of Meath was the old An Meádh, not An Mhí today.

Kilkenny have twice as many goals and All irelands in the same period. ..16 years since Cork last won the McCarthy Cup and it could well be another 16...Cork are living on the past

21-10 to Kilkenny since 1966. Dominant alright. Cork haven’t been winning many since the 70s in all honesty. Tough one for Cork to swallow but Kilkenny are now comfortably the supreme hurling county historically. Cork really prided themselves on having the most All-Irelands but long since been surpassed

@@ruairiose7335 If you include Cork's AI football titles and all International sports starts Cork have produced we're not too pushed. Hurling is all Kilkenny does. We'll be back on top of hurling too eventually. Also Cork invented modern hurling with a beautiful passing, running style of hurling in 2004 2005. Kilkenny reacted with and ugly swarm defence 'puke' hurling. In Cork when we win, we win beautiful. You could probably knock half of KK's modern titles if you factored in their cynical play.

@@eoinosullivan1771 Cork are the top GAA county, no dispute there. There's seldom a year in which Cork don't win an All-Ireland at some grade in some sport. Their total All-Irelands across the lot leaves everyone else in the shade.
In saying that senior hurling is the one most cherished in Cork overall I'd say. And Cork have been surpassed by Kilkenny big time in the 21st century. I used to hear my Cork GAA relatives speaking with pride about having the most All-Irelands for a long time. They don't do that anymore, it hurts them. Kilkenny have won some ugly, no doubt but I suppose an All-Ireland is an All-Ireland. They all go on the roll of honour regardless of how they're won. There have been some dirty teams over the years but I wouldn't have put Cody's Kilkenny in that bracket to be honest.

@@ruairiose7335 I’m throwing some terrace shade because the hurling famine in Cork is taking its toll. Kilkenny defo caught us is a few dirty wins for that peak era for Cork circa 2004 and cork have blown some decent chances against Clare and Limerick this decade. Needless to say KK have had the greatest amount of immense hurlers of the modern era which made me think I felt they didn’t need to play the game on the edge as much but sure that’s just my opinion, the numbers don’t lie as you say. Grew up next to KK in Cork who had his flag high for every game. Sound man and great hurler.
