*Oh!! Question. I use natural orange juice as a vitamin kick starter for the day or when I'm sick. But I do 50% of a glass from the bottle and 50% cold water added. It's too sweet for me. Does this make it much better? (Only 50% intake of the sugars)?*
Thank You, Dr. Becky. Yes, you did mention that . . . duly noted. However, I don't see how "fresh" or "natural" OJ is any better than condensed. The only difference, it seems to me, is that condensed has had the water removed and is frozen. Which is better than sitting around, having been pasteurized and subjected to other chemical processes, as is the case with "natural" OJ (unless it's squeezed at the purchasing location). I'm no expert, but it looks to me like condensed, frozen OJ is maybe a little BETTER than those pre-packaged "natural" juices flown in (or trucked in) from FLA. P.S. I really like your videos, and I am pleased you responded. Thanks.
Yes fruit itself are made up of chemicals, but I know what your referring too. America has some of the worst quality food on the planet, if we even can call most of the stuff that we sell food. Organic or even non organic fruit in season is the best. 👌
Good people, I was glad I was doing what I was doing: diluting concentrate with water. (One part of juice with two parts of water.) I did it mainly for "the juice" to last longer and also, for water to taste like something... Now, having heard this info, I am even more glad I've had this idea all along! In any case, thank you, doctor.
I feel like you should have discussed 100% fruit juice concentrate, it’s sold frozen and meant to be mixed with water before consuming, it’s the healthiest option i think when it comes to getting fresh juice quickly
Not many people knw the process of those juices Most which is 99.99% of the fruit juice concentrate are as follow 10% - 30% fruit concentrate (60%-70% brix) The rest water xantan/ guar gum thickeners, citric acid, vitamin c, flavors,, Corn syrup (American Market).... Etc My advice any concentrated juice that is not sold in a fridge don't buy it

Thank you for the informative video. I have a question about fruit juice. I am trying to develop a sugar free jam by using fruit juice as a sweetener. Would such a jam or jelly be suitable for a diabetic person? Or am I better off using honey or artificial sweeteners?
Hey, first time here. When she said "i'll explain", I was like "yes ma'am Becky" (i said it because she's a white woman, but meant it with endearment) i didn't realize this channel is literally named Dr. Becky 💗
Hello Ma'am, I watch your videos regularly which have helped me great in solving some of my health issues .l realy thank you for that. But please ma'am make a video on my permanent health problem that I always feel pain at the lower left side of my tummy along with bloating.please make me know what this problem is and what to do for its solution . I am too much obliged. Regards.
OMG!!! Thank you for this great video, I knew that concentrate juice has lots of sugar but this much! No wonder there are so many people struggling with diabetes!😔
Give me a break. Do you really think people are diabetic because they are drinking juice? I guess you think they are eating healthy foods, and they developed diabetes for no reason at all. Most of the people I have met who are diabetic, eat high fat foods and they eat cookies, candy, cake, and they drink sodas.
So they ditch the fiber and nutrients. Hmmm. I dont drink fruit juices much anymore, let alone from concentrate. I only have a little orange juice in a.m. and that has pulp. Fruit in general is nature's sweet treat. Shouldnt overdo it with fruit. Eat more vegetables for nutrients.
Fruit is not the issue. The issue is complex refine sugars from process foods.Fructose are simple sugars known as monosaccharides that the body can assimilate and easily metabolize. It won't spike your blood sugar levels since the body absorbs it slowly. Of course anything in life you do in moderation but you can eat as much fruit as you like since it matches our body chemistry and what the body needs. Alot of us has been misinformed and some sources will confuse and mislead consumers into thinking fruit is detrimental. Fruit is one of nature's medicine.
Maybe I should just go out and buy the fruit that is in pomegranate juice and blend them all up because there are so many benefits from drinking pomegranate juice
Thank you for detail answer. i will avoid package fruit juice and go for whole fruits. It make me wonder why my 100% fruit juice from concentrate with no sugar added yet taste very sweet with 19.8g sugar for 250ml serving.
That´s why you add yeast to fruit juice - it eats fructose and glucose - so you don´t have to get insulin resistance and finally metabolic syndrome / diabetes. And you get a buzz.! 😀
I bought an organic apple juice from concentrate (sprouts brand). The ingredients only say filtered water sufficient organic apple juice and vitamin c. I bought this one instead of the not from concentrate option just because it’s half the price. What do you think about that type of juice? Thank you
Great info? If you look at the label, you will see that it is not juice. Of course it is high in sugar and unhealthy. It is not juice!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kool-aid is not juice, nor is it similar to juice.
So dag, what can we do?! Are concentrated fruit juices some thing we can moderate in that case?? Once a week? Once aaaa...month? Or is moderation appropriate only for fruit juices NOT from concentrate??
Hello Dr. Becky… and thank you ! Since May I of this year I have lost 20 pounds of my desired 25 pound goal… all thanks to your 0-1-2-3 plan! I’ve shared your plan with many friends and a few family members too. But I have a question about juices. One thing I really miss is a glass of juice with breakfast. Is there any juice substitute you would recommend? Or do I need to avoid all of them? Thank you for your help!
I got some cranberry pomegranate juice just because I want to start flushing my system out and replacing energy drinks with natural energy that my body has but anyways my wife went to Walmart grab some cranberry pomegranate juice it says no added sugar 100% vitamin c on the front but in the ingredients it is apple juice from concentrated filtered water apple juice concentrate, grape juice from concentrated filtered water, grape juice concentrate, then it goes on to just about every other fruit there is but it's all concentrated so is this Walmart brand not a good choice?
i see fruit rollups and my dutch pal goes nuts. cant get that anymore around here: so basically your better off having a full sugar product and not fruit sugars since it is more powerful and faster absorbed in the blood system
It's usually like this 19% Orange Concentrate + 70% water + 9% Natural flavour + 1 preservatives or Acidity regulators . Etc = makes the 100% of what's inside the Bottle .
basically its like stealing the the juice from the product to then shove it into other products or rehydrated but its still more bad: the body is more contempt to absorb the sugars, it already has than those that have been concentrate so is less likely to react

100 from concentrate with no added sugar means yes, it's the natural sugars but it then kinda takes away from your real fruit intake. There's no limit onnatural sugars, they say aim for 90g a day whilst free sugars is around 20-30g but still control how much natural sugar (fructose) your having as it can't cause the same health issues as free sugar but can still mess with your body in the short term
Yes fructose is a Is monosharride or a simple sugar. I would absolutely not compare sugar to High Fructose Corn Syrup that stuff is horrible for you. The industry says all sugar is created equal which is definitely not at all true. I also wouldn't compare eating an orange and the sugar you get from that to sugar from concentrated "juice". For those of you who wake up every morning congested and sneezing.... drink a glass of Orange juice because your liver ran out of glycogen while you were sleeping and this causes the body to make sugar from your own body tissue.... it aint good.... after less than 5 minutes of drinking that orange juice it will go away.....see it almost every day with my wife. The 2 safest foods to eat are Milk and Orange juice and they are both sugars you need every day. However.... avoid the pulp... you can't digest it your not a cow. Yeah it just doesn’t make any sense to me It’s easier to consume the juice you get more vitamins because you can drink more than you could eat you get a little more natural sugars but that seems like a small price to pay for the nutrients you wouldn’t be getting any other way and let’s face it eating fruit is disgusting it’s messy things are bursting in your mouth you end up with a weird peel in between your teeth your full but feel unsatisfied fruit eating is just a no go
Some of the things you are showing are not juice at all, so please stop calling them that. Sunny Delight is not juice. It is marketed as a good drink for anyone who wants to try it. important information but smoothies seems also not very healthy since blending causes rapid oxidation

Are v8 juice from concentrate still bad?

Does it still have vitamin c in it

i see fruit rollups and my dutch pal goes nuts. cant get that anymore around here: so basically your better off having a full sugar product and not fruit sugars since it is more powerful and faster absorbed in the blood system

what does it mean when it says something like "orange concentrate 19%" ? does it mean the concentrate amounts to 19% of the bottle content?

I've heard (and is partially mentioned in the video) that juice gets rid of the fiber, so you should treat cold pressed juice as a natural sugar
@@SirDella so are they good or bad? like I drink 100% cold-pressed carrot juice so is that bad
