My grandparents were put in a Soviet-run gulag for three years when the Red Army "liberated" Hungary. Every day, they endured hard labour. Even worse, they received daily reeducation to convince my grandparents that they were the cause of every problem in society. My grandparent's crime is that they were farmers. It's nice to know that today's universities teach the exact same curriculum that my grandparents endured in that Soviet-run gulag.

"heyhey hoho western civ has got to go " . When western civilization goes , so go human rights, international treaties, rule of law, laws against slavery and human trficking, all human beings being born equal in rights and dignity... so they lose everything that allowed them, to end up in a situation where they could insult a teacher, a cop, and don't get executed on spot. Slavery will be back and all the rest. but they don't knwo that, because they have'nt studied anything. I think it's the end goal, geting grid of human rights, concentrated all the power into a small elite's hand, an elite that will be able to do whatever it wants.

@@swifty64@swifty64 You people really are stupid, so desperate to blame the decline on the US you HATE anything that is not backward Christian conservatism and have to invent boogy men.
Where are all the cultural Marxists, names please, same with post-modern Marxists, a stupid oxymoron. Where are they all? Fluck me, fancy caring about social justice, how horrible. Its much more Christian to force your backward beliefs on others, regarding marriage and abortion. Why don't mind your own business? All you do is criticize and judge others because you are so insecure you cannot stand anyone questioning your beliefs because you are infantile and terrified of change.
Do you know why there is so much infedelity? Because monogomy is unnatural to our species.
Survival and procreation are the only 2 things that are in the DNA of every species. To continue the species. Most have windows where the female is fertile, with humans, while women are more fertile at certain times, tits and bums, that attract the male of the species in order to procreate are in our faces 24/7. Marraige is backward social construct, that was used to control women, control by making us feel guilty for our natural human urges.
Adulterly is a vile Christian construct that makes sex dirty, as the clergy fluck young boys and get away with it.
You are convinced this pyschotic dog eat dog society that treats everything as a disposable commodity, places no value on art, music etc because they don't yield a profit is the pinnacle of modernity. A country that considers healthcare as toxic socialism, but has no problem spending trillions a year on building ever more efficient machines of mass murder.
Why, when no one can threaten the USA...why so much expenditure on the military? For reasons that Thomas Sowell, this fluck wit Konstantin, and none of you ever mention. From day one, America's prosperity has been fuelled by continual genocidal invasion and resource theft from the so called third-world that the west are 100% responsible for.
This how stupid Americans are....not one of you would know of the Berlin conference of 1910, you know when the western nations were all about to plunder Africa (known as the mad rush for Africa) to fuel the industrial revolution, and realised they may go to war against each other. So they went to Berlin (Germany, The British, Dutch, French, USA, Belgians) and they drew up Africas borders, all of them expect for Ethiopia, and have been plundering Africa ever since. For every dollar in Aid that goes to Africa, $25 is owed to the IMF. If any African leader arises that wants to use the land for his own people, the USA will send one of its genocidal death stars, (aircraft carriers) to dispose them and put in a compliant puppet, so we get their resources and also the sweatshop misery required to keep our commodity prices down.
      You couldn't careless.
Exactly the same thing was done in the Middle East. What do you think the US has been doing for the last 20 years in the Middle East? Mass murder on an industrial scale, raising entire countries to the ground, because the USA, which has 5% of the world's population, uses 28% of the world's oil. America is an imperiliast country of genocidal mass murder, and has never been anything else. That the US inteveved for freedom in WW1 and 2 WW, is the second greatest bullshit story ever told
This genocide takes place because you self righteous morons vote for war criminals. You enable genocide, because you only care about yourselves. Americans protest US support for Israel, as they vote for the US and enable support for Israel.
America is screwed because it is stone motherless broke and it has been since 2000. Its not the trillions handed over to the banksters that is a problem, or the trillions throw away on an unwinnable war, and Ukraine, is a US proxy war for Russian resources. No its woke that is the problem
There is no culture war....the west has no culture.

I agree completely with your point of the obvious lack of principles by the university presidents.
I also appreciated Heather's position. "From the river to the sea..." doesn't always mean genocide. When chanted by Hamas and Hezbollah, that is exactly what they are after. When chanted by a de-educated university student, they want Israel to just cede all power. Usually without realizing all Jews would need to flee the area to avoid being massacred. The political neighbors of Israel were very clear about their intentions on Oct 7.
If students did chant, "Death to all Jews" that should clearly be outside any permissible boundaries of free speech and should be punished.

I drive half an hour, park in an over crowded parking lot to basically learn what chapters I need to read in the book for next week, not actually being taught.

The American educational establishment is well aware, though tacitly, of the difference in academic performance between different groups; however, rather than endeavoring to raise the performance of the poorest performing group to the level of the best performing groups, they’ve decided that the far better course of action is to try to lower the performance of all groups to the level of the poorest perform group-in the name of “equity,” of course. We’re already getting a glimpse of what America will look like under the DEI regime in the anti Trump trials. • @edwardkeirle4453
      @edwardkeirle4453 6 месяцев назад +2

I wouldn't say it's ignorance they are afraid of. It's more that when you look at knowledge as something which should be detached from your own emotional interpretation, that knowledge becomes quite cold. Others then perceive you as a cold person when you deal in facts rather than emotional interpretations. It takes quite a strength of character to deal in difficult truths because you ultimately end up viewed by some people as uncaring, even though difficult truths are the starting point for finding real solutions to the problems which cannot be solved by application of emotion.
There's a reason why Hume separated the is and the ought, and that was to remove the influence of dogmatic emotional and cultural influence on scientific enquiry. It's this tradition which has been assaulted.

The gap isn't socio economic - I grew up on a council estate to parents addicted to drugs and my academic achievements were beyond my well off friends.
I'm not well off now, and my daughter is in the advanced math class, advanced English class, plays Cello, and speaks fluent French. She's 9.
    I'm also a single parent.
All those things are excuses, these children are not being parented properly. It's that simple.

    Okay talking about Doctors.
I had an angioplasty done by a black doctor who just happened to be from Africa. The surgeon assigned to look at the angioplasty happened to look at all the data from it & saw me without talking to the doctor who performed the angioplasty & he told me everything looked good & they would put in 1 stent & that should take care of me. This surgeon happened to be white, after he talked to me he talked to the surgeon about my condition & he said I needed a massive open heart surgery, the surgeon came back to me & changed his diagnosis 180 degrees & they scheduled me for open heart surgery. I arrived the night before staying at a hotel affiliated with the hospital as it was gonna be an early start. The surgeon called me up as I arrived at the hotel & told he had good news that they were only going to do a stent & not have open heart surgery. Of course I’m happy for the change, who wouldn’t be ? I asked him what changed his mind & he said the doctor who performed the angioplasty was on vacation in Africa & the surgeon asked the doctor who was on call replacing the angioplasty doctor to take another look at my data & the on call doctor agreed with the surgeon that all I needed was a stent !!! Like I said I was estatic that I wasn’t going to have open heart surgery but what changed the surgeons mind ???
I’m going to go out on a limb here but not really because I know in my heart (pun intended) that it was a woke problem that almost caused me to have open heart surgery when all I needed was a stent !!!
The Surgeon felt pressured not to contradict the angioplasty doctor because he was black, to change his diagnose he gave to me preceding his talk with the black doctor & gave in to his diagnosis that I needed open heart surgery. When the surgeon had a chance to push his original diagnosis because the black doctor was out of the country & get a second opinion that matched his original assessment he jumped at the opportunity because he knew he was right & I didn’t need open heart surgery. So by a lot of luck that my surgery was scheduled when the original angioplasty doctor was out of the country & I was saved from a needless open heart surgery.
It’s unreal thinking about how your life was changed because a doctor was out of town & another doctor took advantage of that to assuage his guilt because he didn’t have the courage to stand up against Wokeness !!!

      What’s sketchy ?
A surgeon looks at results of an angioplasty & determines only 1 stent should be done.
While the doctor who performs angioplasty calls for open heart surgery.
The surgeon changes his mind after talking to angioplasty doctor & schedules open heart surgery.
The night before the surgery is scheduled the surgeon finds out angioplasty doctor won’t be there for the surgery, so acting upon his original instinct asks for another opinion from the person on call for the angioplasty doctor & the on call doctor agrees with the surgeon & just a stent is done.
      Thats the sketchy part !
There’s is no reason for a surgeon to ask for another opinion the night before a surgery without any new medical information. The only new information was that the original doctor who pushed for open heart surgery wasn’t gonna be there so that gave the surgeon an opportunity to go by his first instinct instead of battling with the original angioplasty doctor !
Now doesn’t that give you a great confidence in our medical establishment whereby a doctor going on vacation can be the difference in having a stent put in or open heart surgery . My family & I went through a month of he🏒🏒 worrying about this surgery, thankfully I talked 2 of my children out of flying cross country to be there for me !

@@tedszweb5268 you are making wild assumptions here that's all. Medicine is not always a cut and dried-science. Different interventions can resolve the same pathology, the only difference being the intrusiveness. Some doctors are more conservative than others, which is always reflected in their treatment choice. This is why they seek their peer advice all the time to make sure they pick the best solution for their patients. This is also why patients seek or should seek second amd/or third opinions and be able to choose a treatment plan that they are more comfortable with. Depending on who you ask, you will get different answers. A simpler explanation could be that your surgeon was debating on a treatment choice, he discussed with the black doctor, open heart surgery was the best course of action at the time. But he still was not sure and thought about it some more, so he asked someone else who said the stent should be enough and that resonated with him. Doctors contradict each other all the time and I doubt that your doctor would be afraid to debate the black doctor opinion just because of his race and the woke issue, unless he told you that specifically. And that does not make the black african doctor incompetent. Ask yourself this, if your doctor had asked a third opinion, and that doctor opted for the open heart surgery, would you still maintain your stance?

#1 I know about the give & take of Doctors opinions being my wife just retired from 40 years of nursing with the last 20 spent running operating rooms, I have had discussions about 2nd opinions with them myself as some of them are my friends & have never had them tell me anything like what happened to me. Which doesn’t validate your opinion because my situation wasn’t normal at all & the things that I infer would have never entered my thoughts until I witnessed it happen !
2 would I have changed my stance, NO because my inferences are all based on the Surgeon doing a 180 flip from his original diagnosis of just needing a stent . When he gave me his first assessment he was confident as he🏒🏒 I just needed a stent but when he came back & said after talking to the angioplast doctor he wasn’t as confident sounding & it seemed he was reluctant. Maybe you had to be there to see his manner which to me I could read like a good book. I was still going along with the open heart surgery. So when he called me the night before he said the original doctor was out of town & his replacement doctor graduated with him from Medical School. So he asked him to check it out as he wouldn’t be stepping on anyone’s toes then.
3 Ask yourself if you were gearing up for open heart surgery for a month dealing with your families worries & your own . Then the night before the surgeon calls you up & says oh by the way since the original doctor isnt here I’m going to have my buddy take a second look at your surgery.
So in essence I didn’t have open heart surgery because a doctor just happened to go on vacation.
      WOULDNT THAT BOTHER YOU ?

I'm really feeling this rise in mediocrity at the low and high level. My local big chain mini mart had small square wholemeal sandwich bread slices prominently displayed, for a month or so. When I asked if they'd ran out the manager looked at me with a puzzled look. He then ' reminded' me that the absence of certain items is due to it being part of an end to the run of a surplus which had been endured by the chain as a whole.?....At the high end I can't tell you how many times me and my doctor have both sat infront of a screen googling my symptoms.

Speaking as someone who went to high school in a predominantly black setting, where I was a minority white guy, let me just interject at the 1:00:01 timeframe here… I went to a middle and high school in the early 2000’s (graduated 2007)… literally I think all my classes (especially math and science) had no textbooks to give us. We had printouts if our teacher made them for us. Our football team was on its way to state, my teachers were also football coaches, that’s what was important (the sports). We were not in an inner city, but a poor community on the outskirts. At one time the school was in the top in Texas.
Parents can’t force their kids to bring home textbooks in my upbringing, because we didn’t have them. Period.
I ended up homeschooling myself from high school on to college shortly in the middle. All my classmates from my high school were in remedial courses when I went to college (as was I, for math, but many of them were in it for all of the main subjects, and I mean all).
My school system was literally shut down and absorbed by another school system that was also known around that time as not being any good for education but they couldn’t shut down all the school systems in a 20 mile radius… but that was our reality.
So sometimes, it’s not as simple as encouraging the parents to have their kids read a book. Sometimes it’s not even available for a single student.
Speaking as someone who understands the parent (in my case) can make all the difference. What saved me? I taught myself from high school onwards. And learning early on no one would be there for me. Not a single person.
