The cool twist of the story is that the people you know _the least_ are the ones you can trust the most. The gas station guy really seemed like he was involved or just dangerously ignorant, but then he ended up being very helpful and almost implied to be sacrificing himself to help you. The butcher guy seemed off and the rotting meat implied much more under the surface, but he ended up giving you a flashlight and offered you your list item for free. Even the literal stereotype of a stranger trying to coax you into their car turned out to be someone you already met - a cop - and seemingly saved you from getting killed right there outside the florist's. In the end, the real danger was someone Claire couldn't have known more - Her father. This actually lines up perfectly with real life, where stalkers are more often someone you know personally, and those being far more dangerous than the stalkers whom _actually are_ strangers.
I like how the song played after the butchers death matches up with the story. The song's name is called a burning memory, showing that the character we play as does not want to remember her past as it was a cruel one. Explanation: after inspecting the bottle it reminded her of her unpleasant past thus, the song matches the story
Technically the song is not called "It's Just A Burning Memory," its actually named "Heartaches" by Al Bowlly; however, you're correct in that the version playing is from the Caretaker "Everywhere at the End of Time" album, and that that one is the "burning memory" song; it's supposed to represent dementia, loss of memories and self.
@BluZombieYT actually heartaches is technically a different song, heartaches has lyrics while just a burning memory does not, its just the tune in the back
I love how Ryan’s Longer Less Edited Videos don’t even feel like they’re less edited, they’re just perfectly made and Ryan always brings in the high effort and care towards making these videos, absolute GOLD! 😎👍
One of the things my parents taught me is to NEVER go outside when it’s dark out. In broad daylight people can see things, there are witnesses. But at night, no one can help you, no one is around to here your screams
Holy moly, that was creepy! I'm no expert on sound design, but they really mastered the use of sound in order to give it that creepy vibe to it. Props to Ryan for managing to get through this game in one sitting, because I don't know if I would have the balls to do it myself. Thank you, Ryan, for giving us quite the video today, and I look forward to whatever else you have in store for the channel!
Ryan i've watched you for years now and I'm not one to usually comment but this year has been one of my worst years possible and your videos have been helping me so much. Without you I don't know where I would be. Thank you for always uploading videos for always inspiring us and for all your amazing ideas. Huge thank you and I will forever be a fan of yours. Thank you :)
This is how horror games should be. As ryan said, the atmosphere should always make you feel cautious even when there's nothing that's coming after you. The fear is made by the ambients and the player's own anxiety. I wish ryan plays more games like these, it was really fun and intense to watch
Hey Ryan! I just wanna express how much of an impact you’ve made on my and many others lives, I’ve watched you years ago when I was in high school and here I am sitting in the cafeteria of a full time job on lunch break still watching your content! Thanks for everything you do for us! :)

The fica store is probably a combination between the word "fika" wich is swedish and kinda means meal in a way and ica wich is a brand of store you can find in Sweden. So yeah it is Nordic. But it might just be a coincidence.
31:27 Hey did y'all recognize the Everywhere At The End Of Time album's first song playing there ? The dementia meme music ? No, just me ? Well I wonder if Ryan did
Hey Ryan! I have a suggestion to make. Do you remember a game you played a while ago called "It Steals". The develepor of said game, Zeekers, has worked on a few projects and recently I have been playing one of their games called "The Upturned". It's a *Comedy/Horror* game which is genuanly fun and would fit your video style perfectly. I think you will have a blast if you play it, even if you don't make a video on it. Also great video, as always. For some reason all of these ps1 style horror games are really good!
I love how the dev just ripped parts of Everywhere At The End of Time, hopefully The Caretaker doesn't mind though. Listening to the full thing truly is scarier than any words can express though.
going on a month of being bedridden and still sane(barely) thanks to your videos, man especially the longer less edited episodes. Take care of yourself and stay safe everyone
When I saw the game's opening line I thought, _Wait, why the hell is "stranger" in quotations?_ Then when Ryan started the game over and I reread the line, I realized the simple genius of it.
For anyone who's wondering, the first song after the butchers is "It's Just a Burning Memory" by The Caretaker, and the ending song song is "There Is No Greater Love" by Andy Kirk.
Ryan, your content is amazing! Been watching you for a looong time, never commented before, and these videos are really cool. Just wanted to say it to you once

Ryan, during the time you went into the basement, it said there was a *TOY* knife at the crime scene meaning that the killer was most likely to bo the toy seller.
Ryan giving each character their own personality when voicing them is so unique.
