why cant we not have kids be exposed to bdsm in person serious leave kids alone you can teach them respect without needing to go into detail you dont need to make it sexual to teach lgbtq
Ps: next year, if you want to Collab (I'm not even a creator...yet..maybe I will become one buut idk) so more like if you want a guest for this crazy idea 😂 I will dress up either as a dog/furry/something else crazy. And I will join you to ask hard hitting questions and I will push back with logic (in a kind, normal conversive way) I think this idea would be great because firstly- nobody knows who tf I am so they can't make assumptions about my political beliefs. And second, being dressed in a weird/crazy way will absolutely pull down their defenses and would be interesting to see. To make it MORE interesting, BEFORE I ask questions, you could go around with a different videographer and ask similar questions first, and I could find those people later and ask. Idk, that might be hard because there are always so many people, but I'm just spittballing here! Btw, I don't actually want to start a platform tbh. I'm an almost 36yr old mom of two and I hate being on camera, but I always have these kinds of ideas and I thought it sounded fun! But next year...well a lot can and will change between now and this year.. so who knows how I will feel! This election could change so much! Still interested in trying this though and I think we would have a fun time! Idk why I started this with ps btw 😂 I think I MEANT To add it to my other comment, but whatever 😂
They AREN’T us! We used to all be queer but now they normalized the definition of the word which has nothing to do with GLB people. All of the other letters after Q falls under the Q and is redundant. Plus, not all T’s are gay. Its been shown that a lot of str8 men are hopping on that bus. So T also falls under the Q and is not what the GLB flag stands for. Next they will say that the pedo flag is inclusive. When does inclusion end and creepy begin?
As a biologist I get red hot mad whenever I hear someone say puberty blockers don’t harm people. My god. You’re stopping a naturally occurring process that transitions a body from a child to an adult. Bone density, brain growth, muscle tension and strength as well as thickness. All of these develop during that time and if you stop that process that person is going to be stunted and malnourished compared to their peers not to mention the affect on their genetics it can have.
And it's so frustrating that really, I have probably said the words " they are being intellectually dishonest with you!" So many damn times to people. Because they will just say read a source or article about something that's a damn lie. It's like some are too young or naive to even get that.
My own take has always been “People can dislike us even outright despise us as we have no right to tell them otherwise just as we may hate our own groups of people, it is just when that hate is used as a excuse to do stupid stuff” I don’t believe any of this should be shown to kids period and I myself am pan. If we want them to leave us alone we gotta leave them alone
I don’t understand the “I don’t have children so I don’t care” mindset. Just because you don’t have kids doesn’t mean you can’t care about their wellbeing.
You're right, ppl who don't have kids can care about a kid's wellbeing. But expecting ppl who don't have kids or kids are not really fundamentally apart their life(ex. The Childfree Aunt/Uncle) to care about kids as a whole on the same level as parents is living in a false reality imo. I love and care about my niece and nephew, but at the end of the day, I'm just their uncle not their father, so my level of everyday care is automatically going to be lower compared to their mom and dad because they're not part of my everyday responsibility. I think that's what ppl mean, when they say they don't care.
I feel that as a non-parent your opinion on a lot of children's issues aren't as strong, so the "I don't have children so I don't care" is the same as "I'm not a woman so its not my discussion." odds are they have an opinion but they may not feel comfortable sharing it with how readily people are turned on over their opinions especially when it relates to LGBTQ+ topics.
I get what you’re saying. But at the same time a lot of people don’t want kids or aren’t around kidds and a lot of people prefer to be kid free. There is a lot of heavy baggage ppl have to carry around. And being a parent to children who literally aren’t your responsibility on top of everything a person has going on is a crossed boundary. A lot of these adults are just expressing themselves and maybe being in BDSM makes them a little less dead inside. I don’t think people go to pride and think about kids. That’s literally the last thing on someone’s mind when they have probably been looking forward to celebrating their freedom. I think that perhaps the venue having a dress code for family events is something that’s more of a realistic ask. And that comes with people who do care about children and want to protect them. So if you care than stand uppp and go fight for their rights. In my opinion you’re concerned about the wrong thing. How does it make sense to be mad at the childless human vs the actual parent that said “my kids going to a gay parade today”
They are the ones who probably prey on them and see nothing wrong. I don’t have children but don’t like seeing what is being forced on them. When others obviously are blind or see it as false accusations that it doesn’t exist
These weird communities would greatly reduce in size if kids were kicked off social media. They wouldn't be able to brainwash these kids and therefore wouldn't have memebrs anymore.
We furries are actually very centrist. Most also do try to keep the sexual stuff behind closed doors as well. I just wish people wouldn't assume things like RainFurrest is an example of every furry ever. Also, most of us don't really like kids being around us EXCEPT at cons as we keep those entirely nonsexual(save the few crazies every group has). It's the after parties that end up on the news.
I wasn’t surprised, I know furries that actually have open minds to discussions like this and aren’t inappropriate in public and stuff , there are a lot of bad apples but many are genuinely cool and good individuals even with their weird hobby
I'm trying to imagine how I would keep my cool if someone said that right to my face. It's just the affect it effects so many real lives that gets me. But I'm trying to work on it so I can debate these people in real. It's just you know they will start to bs.
Cause their's apparently been studys that says puberty blockers are irreversible just like their are studys that say that puberty blockers are not reversible. I notice this by watching left leaning youtubers and right leaning youtubers.
Aside from the important topics mentioned in this video, I just wanted to say that Amir is so respectful when talking to everyone. Even if he disagrees with their opinion, he’s not shutting them down, he’s simply listening to them completely and just having a genuine conversation. It’s really refreshing to see interactions like this because nowadays everyone is very quick to start an argument if you don’t agree with their opinion. This was done well and properly!
AMIR is respectful when talking to everyone. It is the people on the left who generally scream at ppl on the right, spit in our face, assault us, run away rather than admit they lost the debate, etc., etc. Therefore, it is the leftists who deserve the congratulations on their keeping their cool to avoid lashing out. @34:44
thats why i recommend to everyone who sees this comment to go and read the book called Unleashing Pride: From Closet to Unstoppable, it has completely changed my life
The trans woman throwing the first stone at Stonewall lie will always annoy me, Marsha didn't get there until 2am after the riot was well and truly underway. The first stone was thrown by a lesbian woman who was a bouncer for one of the gay clubs. The erasure of women is real I can't even.
yeah its stupid. both the black trans women they want us to worship for our rights had said they were not the ones who started it. They always wanna emphasize their race and denying it and pulling out the facts gets you called racist
This!!! I am constantly trying to talk about this and point it out is somehow transphobic. I’m sorry reality isn’t what you want but Jesus Christ.. it’s ridiculous to constantly downplay women’s role in gay liberation. They ought to be more thankful to feminists who challenged gender roles in the first damn place.
@@TheMetallicSharpieI think they should explore that themselves, they don’t need these parades to know. If the child has questions they’ll ask the parents.
is it rly that hard for y’all? pansexual, gender doesn’t matter, you find personality attractive, simple. non-binary is neither man nor woman, not on the binary, simple. trans-masc leaning, they outwardly present masculine, simple.
Amir, you have no idea how much of a breath of fresh air you are because I thought I was alone on this as a gay man. BECAUSE LEMME TELL YOU, people doing too much 🤦🏽♂️
@@katcankan7129That wouldn't matters, their are 100s of videos on RUclips where everyday ppl whether they're LGBT+ or not ask what is a woman and the same answers are given
"They did not consent to see that, and that's important." Exactly! To the lady who shrugged it off as "they probably have seen worse online"- that's not your call to make. Bc here's the thing, at the end of the day, it does not matter if they've seen worse if they chose to see it. Just because you've had sex before doesn't mean you're always down for it. You should have the option to say no. That's how content ratings work too. No one should have to be subjected to something they don't want to see or be part of. Period. Consent is key! That's why if there is explicit subject matter then it's ethical to disclose that. Pride can be for everybody if everybody makes it a space where it's able to be that inclusive. The people who are saying "watch what you wear because kids are here and we need to represent our community properly" have it right. Pride can be kinky, but only for the audience where that's appropriate. Don't say "pride is for everyone" and then not make it for everyone. I feel like the same idea applies to the furry stuff. It can be innocent or very kinky just depending on the guidelines set. Same for cosplay too. There's innocent and kinky cosplay out there. The important thing is knowing your audience. If you've got a public parade, then make it for the public. If you have a convention where you can vet people's ages, then you can decide if you want more mature content and what is appropriate for that audience.
thats like saying let a kid watch two grown adults have sex and do crazy kinks because "they have probs already seen it" uh no. you dont traumatize kids because their is a chance they are already traumatized.
These events do have specific areas that are known to have this kind of conduct - it’s a tradition, not something new. So, if you bring your child without doing your due diligence it’s the fault of the parent, not the participant. It’s also easy enough to shield your child from things you know they aren’t mature enough to see. Like how when I was a kid my mom simply covered my eyes during the Titanic for a few scenes. And, she simply explained why. Not a big deal.
Not to mention it also assuming that the people out there have seen anything similar to that on the internet...aren't they the ones who say we shouldn't assume stuff about them?
I’m so tired of people trying to say bdsm and kink , nudity is “ LOVE “ … behind closed doors it can be but in public it’s just inappropriate and sexual . It’s not love in public
To the chick saying 16 year olds should be able to vote… umm how about no. In my experience, even people in their early 20’s don’t know what they’re actually voting for. 16 year olds are SO much more vulnerable to being influenced to believe whatever they’re told - hell even people in their 60’s don’t even vote for the right reasons.
16 year-olds will vote for more pizza at lunch or soda machines at their schools, or because someone is “hip” or “popular”, no questions asked; they generally don’t think about stuff like economics or geopolitics - stuff that has the potential to affect their lives on a much greater level.
My first election was the year I turned 18. I voted for the party I chose because their leader wore Doc Martins to Parliament. I had no idea about politics at all. That party doesn't exist anymore, and it turns out that my beliefs and values aligned with their policies but I didn't even know their policies at the time.
It is so crazy to me how many people you can tell have thoughts and opinions about the question.. but are afraid they are saying something that could get them “cancelled” I wish people could speak their minds without worrying about being doxed, cancelled, fired, being labelled homophobic or transphobic. When did we stop being able to discuss different ideas?
@@God-King-Yhwach_The_Almighty yes but if you speak you can get doxxed, fired, attack and all. And if your opinion is not what the majority thinks no one will take your side and just accept that you are getting bully. Free speech is an illusion now if you are not totally left
My dad wouldn't take me to Hooters as a child - despite my begging and crying. Why today's liberal parents think it's ok for kids to be in sexualized adult situations is baffling to me.
I'm gonna be honest I wasn't all that impressed.. guess I just don't care much for tanks n' shorts. But yeah I don't know why peeps had kids there it's legit boob windows and ass.
God the whole puberty blockers being reversible BS frustrates me so much. Cuz sorry to break it to em, but they ain't reversible. They lead to so many health problems, because you're stopping a natural function of the body for growth/development. This is also why there's so much increasing cases of transition regret. And the doctors who do this LOVE the money that comes from it.
Calm down, these things are HEAVILY regulated. To put a miner on puberty blockers it has to be necessary to the child's mental health and to prevent self deletion.
Open dialogue. We’ve heard it over and over, but rarely see it in action from both sides, Great job! You have mastered the art and you can see the moment your interviewees stop and consider what you’re presenting. I’m so enjoying your content. Learning new things, views and appreciating it all.
the woman in the purple wig and striped shirt is so right! so refreshing seeing somebody on the other Sid of the political spectrum who actually acknowledges this stuff
"Im not male or female. I just live my life." Yeah thats everyone. You aren't special. Im a man and always have been a man. So I dont know what its like to "feel" like a woman and therefore have no basis of comparison to know if I "feel" like a "typical" man.
Right and I feel like we completely strayed away from what being trans is which is a result of gender dysphoria, but ppl took it and turned it into something else
Be careful. If you don't know what it is to be a man then you may be suggesting masculinity is purely.oerformative and not innate.....do you see where I'm going?
@Ben-zr4ho Yeah, but the difference is non-binary ppl specifically don't want to be seen as a man or a woman or be tied or have assumptions on who they are based off their gender socially. This is based off the non-binary ppl I know and met
that's not the only reason non binary people are non binary tho? 😭 that was only one persons response. I have met many non binary people, and I even dated one, and its deeper than that lol if you don't understand then maybe try to actually listen to more than one person, and if you still don't get it, its fine! move on with ur life and ignore it. boom, that simple.

I love the way you talk and treat everyone in a calm and respectful manner, something a lot of people seem to lack these days especially in heated topics like these lol
i really love how u didn’t challenge anyone and u also enjoyed pride. my favorite interviews r like this. and it really gets people thinking productively about big topics.
Seems like most people think that people should act appropriately at pride which I’m honestly kind of proud of. I think we should call out the people who are being inappropriate at pride, especially at events where there’s no age restriction

So he’s been bi since 13, and was openly out about it. He has never condoned my daughter who is a teen now, to go to Pride. He’s the one who tells me it’s not something he wants her to see.
Really well handled, Amir. It was clear you approached these interviews with respect and patience. Exemplary! We could use more media like this. I do like this format, you have a real skill at this.
Thank you Amir for the editing quality! I'm a video editor. I can see and hear the extra steps your team took to make the content coherent and have an interesting story. I could hear the voice isolation to tune out the ambience during the interviews and love it. Keep up the good content

The amount of respect shown, the way you asked the questions, the way you approached, and mainly THE WAY YOU ACCEPTED EVERY RESPONSE WITHOUT JUDGEMENT. L, G, B and A (asexual) is about *sexual identity,* whereas the T, Q+ is more about gender identity. They are different groups *with different issues,* and it is counterproductive to group them all into the same category. Great video ^^
Typically shrinking and dividing groups does not lead to an increase in political power. Like if the black community was halved they would be a far less influential voting block.
The whole idea of a "voting block" is ridiculous. People should vote *based on their own research* and beliefs, not what other people of the same race, gender, or sexuality tell them to vote. Check out Amber Rose's speech at the RNC ^^
A is under the plus sign. That's why there is a plus sign it's not exactly about genders. But whenever we say like LGBTQIA+ people will still complain. And as a trans man there are things that are queer about me and trans people have always been in the community and the reason the community is accepted as it is is because of Marsha P Johnson.
Yes the Stonewall Riots happened 55 years ago, and we no longer face the same discrimination *under todays laws* thanks to legends like Marsha and those who literally fought for our rights. The community has expanded so much since then, which is why it's important for us (in the current political climate) to discern the difference between sexuality and gender ^^
Biologica sex is not a spectrum. It's binary. Masculinity and femininity can be a spectrum because people express different aspects of that in their behaviour, mannerisms, appearance, etc.
I think you mean that GENDER is binary, as in 99% of all biological species, there is only male and female anatomy. No other animal in the world says to itself that it feels like a woman therefor it is one. Only humans have the ability to develop that concept. Sexuality can be spectrum because a person’s sexual preference is what flows under the prism. But sexuality is not gender. No matter how fem a man thinks he is, at the end of the day hes not a woman. Period.
srry to bring up smn rare but biological sex is actually a spectrum! intersex ppl who got 2 X chromosomes or are missing a certain sex chromosomes do not fit in the binary! the body having the correct amount of sex chromosomes but failing to produce/overexerting testosterone or estrogen for whatever reason also doesn’t fit in a binary! it is very much a spectrum, not a particularly large one but a spectrum nonetheless
They literally just pull things out of their ass. I saw a training and the person stated there are documented 17 sexes. Where?! When was this "discovered". They pull things out of their ass on the daily because they know this identity bullshit is that, bullshit.
I really liked your approach in this video. Sometimes people just need the question presented and just let them explore it on their own, because in many case the environment they spend most of their time does not allow for questions to be brought up.
amir, you are one of the most well articulated and respectful commentators on here. thank you for being so intentional about how you worded your questions, and how you gave people enough room to speak. and especially thank you for not going to pride to provoke people for the sake of getting their reactions on camera.
I've never understood this line of logic because surely if that's the case all oppressed women throughout history could have just decided not to be a woman... Idk it seems like a bit of a slap in the face to be to people's historical sex-based oppression. It's paradoxical that these people will advocate for every cause but simultaneously erase historical struggles through their own ignorance
Say that to the suffragettes. Say that to THEIR GRANDMOTHERS who couldn't get a credit card without their husbands permission. Say that to the women at the Magdalene laundries or the Indian women sacrificed on their husbands funeral pyres, or the thousands of girls trafficked every day 😭😭😭
I think you’re misunderstanding of the word performance in this context. Everyone - trans and cis - makes decisions about their outer appearance and affectations that communicate one’s relationship to their body and the way they’d like to be treated. It’s a way of expressing a truth in a way that’s comprehensible to others. You see it when country guys buy big trucks, when women wore skirt suits with shoulder pads, when a lesbian puts one earring in, when a trans girl gets electrolysis. They’re all ways of saying “this is a big part of who I am and how I want to be treated”.
Funny how these people get asked "What is a woman?", proceed to add "to me" at the end of it (which effectively makes it an opinion instead of a definition) and then go on a tangent where they actually don't answer the question at all (can't use the word you are trying to define in its own definition) but instead they answer the question that was never asked in the first place; "Who are women?". They just want something to do even if it doesn't make sense. The lack of purpose is dripping.
Imagine living in a world with so much injustice and evil to fight against if you DO want a cause and the cause you stand 10 toes down on is... giving minors puberty blockers.
@@ba-devil_archon6344 being a woman is not an opinion it's a reality and I'm not saying that coming out as gay or nonbinary or anything like that is your delusion but it's definitely not your reality either And just so we're clear hear I don't mean this to come off as rude or disrespectful
As a straight woman who was a Tom Boy, I shudder to think of growing up in today's times. We didn't have internet or social media. I hated dolls, hated the color pink, loved dinosaurs. I remember that developing breasts was awkward for ALL the girls. It looks weird, feels weird and some of us got unwanted attention for them. I hated princess things, wasn't into hair & makeup. I liked catching bugs and playing with dinosaurs. No one EVER questioned me in any way about how I identified, whether I liked boys or girls, if I was a girl, etc. I was just ME and there was nothing wrong with it. I can't tell you how the current culture may have "shaped" me, but I'm very glad I was never made to feel like I was "unique" or had to pick a category for myself. I may have chosen wrong.
My young daughter is a tomboy, too. She's met people identifying as non-binary, but she's secure in her identity & just politely says, "I'm a girl with short hair," when people assume she's a boy, lol.
This is a long video but so worth the watch. What great conversations, really showcased a variety of opinions and you just let them speak without trying to "get" them or make them look a certain way.
One of those two beautiful black women asked "who am i to say what a woman is?" GIRL, YOU'RE LITERALLY A WOMAN, IF THERE'S SOMEBODY WHO CAN SAY WHAT A WOMAN IS, ITS YOU 😫 what if people start asking what the definition of MAN is? it seems there's been so much propaganda, that asking what a woman is became something they already recognize as a "loaded question" (crazy), it's like they immediatly block the question in their heads because they know it's linked to a whole political debate they don't want to engage in. I'd be surprised to see if people start tuning back into the reality of what biological sex if we start asking what a man is, or if they come up with the same mental type of mental gymnastics...
@@AleOlarteR That is EXACTLY what I said to myself when she responded to the question with that. Unless she’s trans and passes extremely well, then I’m guessing she’s a biological female. That means she is the perfect person to define who a woman is. WTF is this nonsense?

The concept of pride as of late is somewhat contradictory to me, like it's rooted in a negative mindspace. "I'm like this, and yet I'm proud" If you wanna feel proud of the ACHIEVEMENT that in today's world you are accepted far more openly than you would have been 40-50 years ago, that is worth celebrating. I'm not sure why you would wanna do it by allowing pride parades to turn into a fetish buffet. The optics seem to undermine the cause...
They really do, especially as someone who is on the left it is good for me to be able to see some of the issues with… well… us 😂 I agree with everything this man has to say on this topic though.
They are completely confusing gender roles with biological sex. Don't they know it's OKAY to be butch, femme, lipstick, twink, androgynous... Makes me sad and frustrated
@@Itsstuff7328 In a way they are reinforcing gender stereotypes…in my opinion it’s more empowering to embrace being a masculine woman or feminine man without having to label yourself as “non-binary”.
What does celebrating a civil rights movement have to do with kinks and fetishes? How does being Lesbian, Gay or Bi mean running up and down a street in kink costumes or stark naked? How are the two conflated? For years, the whole thing was something like this: We are normal people that are attracted to something different then the mainstream, let us love who we love, marry who we love and live our lives. Now the whole month isn't about equality or remembering the civil rights that were gained decades ago, its quite literally about showing degenerate sexual conduct in public with mega corporations cosponsoring it and politicians bowing to it. Even the first guy he asked said that his son identified as gay. What does that have to do with a bunch of naked adults being in front of him? Does that mean I should take a twelve year old son to a strip club to celebrate his sexuality? No, CPS would be at the house before I turned the car off. How is this different?
Hey Amir, awesome video!! I think the way you approached people, asked them questions and interacted was so well done! I like that you weren't trying to gotcha people. I think if there wasn't a camera, all of these people would have felt comfortable o give you their honest opinions. Keep up the amazing work you do! :)
The amount of appendagepics and NSFW art I have been sent unannounced in the furry fandom when I joined as a minor still blows my mind in hindsight. The older I get, the more I realize how messed up it was, especially since this basically happened with like half the people I met. I've met some of by best friends in the fandom, but man... it should have an agelimit ngl
Furry is definitely an adult only type of thing. It's understandable why kids like anthro stuff with children's media having a lot of it. But the fursuits, the art, ect, online should be adult only. Every furry I meet has something sexual related. Haven't met a single strictly sfw one yet.
I do wish there were more sfw spaces in the furry fandom I mostly only interacted with a small friend group within the fandom and they were all sfw but yeah it is a problem with the nsfw being almost everywhere and not safe for children
@2dents513, I see this exactly as well. O remember an old friend of mine was a pretty busy SFW furry artist as a bit of s sidejob, even though she's incredibly clear about only doing clean stuff, she almost always receives NSFW ref sheets without a heads up or requests to make an exception to do NSFW art. I cringe a bit when I hear furries claim that NSFW is only a small part of the fandom whilst the majority of artists I chatted with claim the majority of art they do is p*rn. That stuff just sells, it's popular. And honestly, I think it's fine (to some extent because man, even for the NSFW side it's a good thing blacklists exists with the amount of f*cked up degenerate shit that gets commissioned), but it's not for kids. I wish, thinking back, I would've waited longer before becoming active in the fandom, I've encountered quite some uncomfortable stuff I didn't really know how to deal with back then. Like @7th.Camerawoman said, this stuff has become absolutely unavoidable. Great people exist in the fandom no doubt, I recall some heavily monitored and regulated SFW furry platforms existed but atleast the ones I used shut down. It's a really dissonant fandom, obviously cute anthros are gonna attract kids, but it's mostly adults who dictate what gets drawn as they're the ones who can really afford art of decent enough quality worth being posted online. What does one do about it? I have absolutely no clue honestly. The fandom has become quite a bit about being on the moral high ground constantly, pretending to be some super liberal woke role models.Maybe the first thing is to collectively learn to accept the NSFW part plays a much larger role than furries try to push. The fandom has also become weirdly intertwined with a lot of people existing in a perpetual saviour complex. I mean, I've spoken to two artists specifically who pretended to be trans, simply.to see their amount of followers and commissions skyrocket out of nowhere... But alas, that's a different problem.. Kids reading this, just yknow... It's a fun fandom, like beer is fun to.drink and a car is fun to drive. Be a bit patient until.you can deal with all the stupid nonsense around it as well hahaha
The way i personally see the furry fandom is alot like the anime fandom, while there is no set genre for anime/furry i do think there should be better handling and communication in the community to protect minors and to prevent either them from getting into nsfw spaces or to prevent adults from inappropriately contacting them back.
This is the kind of interviewing that I can really love. You're respectful, kind, and not trying to just "change their mind." You're listening and bringing up poignant comparisons that can make them actually critically think about their firmly held beliefs.
I don't think I've seen anyone at a pride event who interviews trying to change anyone else's mind. I have seen Christians go there and preach the truth, but they aren't trying to change anyone's mind.
When I was a kid, I remember pride parades being nothing more than just that: LGBs (no T+nonsense at that time) just marching happily with maybe some flags and flamboyant clothing. Fast forward to today, my same city now allowed children on leashes on to walk in the parade. The movement, community, whatever you want to call it is a shell of what it used to be.
A lot of women in that community say they were getting attacked by Ts in the bathrooms and they were told to stay silent because it would make the rest of us hate all of them. They show up to Let Women Speak events regularly because itis the only place they can tell their stories.

The respectful interviews I am fully here for and thank you for this!❤❤❤ EDIT: I wrote this before I finished the video, and then you explained it perfectly!
i wanna speak personally on the furry community being not kid friendly i was a furry when i was like 11 years old and i didnt know about sex before going into it and soon after going into it i was exposed to it. i was also exposed to several kinks. i think its bullshit for people to say its kid friendly when its not you can easily get exposed to porn.
This. People are either being intentionally dishonest or plain dumb to claim the furry community "kid friendly". It's PUSHED as such, and we should be very suspicious as to why.
@@elihinze3161Their is a subset of the furry community where kink is not involved, just like their is a subset where kink is involved. It's not 100% kid friendly, but it's not all kink either.
@@dynamitesparkles1457there might good ones but the furries have been known for more adult stuff. I was part of cosplay community on the early 2000s. It was very well known and people who had kids kept them away
I can’t believe how many ppl think showing kids dog/furry role play at 6 is crazy. I didn’t even get explained to me male/female anatomy in a pub school till 6th grade
Ok, like, anthro media was really common in the 90s, but it was mostly kid-friendly. There’s a difference between basic representation and inappropriate content and it seems like extremist ideology has blinded certain people to that distinction.
furries are not sexual by default... if you see a fursuiter, showing that to your child is no different than showing them a mascot at disneyland. how is that inappropriate?
Furry is neither sexual nor a kink. Being a furry is the same as being a Weeb (fan of anime). It's a fan of cute characters, art, and cosplay. There are sexual sides to both the furry and weeb communities, absolutely, for sure. But it is not an inherit trait of being a fur. Over 75% of of the furry community is LGBTQIA and young and with that it at times pulls in some of the most overt parts of that. And yes sadly in the age of the internet it's not that hard to find the NSFW side of the fandom. But there is nothing wrong with kids being into or around furry on it's base level, the cons I go to very often have many many many minors and young kids and they are perfectly SFW. As for the pup play. Furries are not pups, but some pups are furries. There is crossover there. But they are not the same. Pup play is kink and related to BDSM and dominance. Furry is not.
I'm a little late to the party, but did want to say that I really like how you approached people and spoke with them. I liked the part towards the end where you said you didn't want a "gotcha moment", you just wanted to have conversations. I also like that you expressed that you were cognizant of where you were, at a pride event, and that you didn't want to barge in there and start triggering people in what is supposed to be a space for them to express themselves joyfully and be safe to be who they are. You didn't go in there with the intent to hurt them at their event for views. Fantastic job! I'm so glad I found your channel. You seem like a level-headed, genuine person who is more moderate who is willing to listen to and respectfully criticize both sides. 🖤
I truly love the way you're interviewing and approaching everyone with respect, even if you don't agree with some things. Like you said "I came here to understand and not to respond" ❤ Sooo refreshing I'm glad I found you and your videos
I get the distinct impression most of these people are very afraid to speak their mind - it’s quite telling about what the lgbt community has become. As a 25 year old bisexual woman who never really attended pride or felt emotionally drawn to the community, watching its evolution from the outside had been quite disheartening. Going from a unified front fighting for genuine rights (living through the ‘Yes’ vote in Australia was an experience let me tell you!) to a group of disjointed people too afraid to speak their mind is very sad. Everyone is dancing on eggshells trying not to offend or step on people’s toes, and it shows!
Great job interviewing folks Amir! While we all have opinions that vary, and while maybe some beliefs are uninformed or misguided, I do feel the kindness coming off of these folks. I know if I had a struggle with myself, or questioning things, having someone validate your emotions/having a support group can be lifesaving. I think your interview style/who you are is helping people relax and be more themselves/friendly, leading us to see some of their real opinions about these things, which is invaluable. Keep this up!
It’s sad that we have come to this point in society where we can’t even explain simple terms and definitions. I am a gay black biological man. I am attracted to biological men. If you are a gay male and having sex with trans men then you are not gay your bi. The same applies to “straight” men that are in relationships with trans women.
I have been watching your content since your trip to jubilee and if you ask me this video is middle ground done right. The only interrupting was accidental, people raised their voice only due to the noise, this was an actual conversations between people with a variety of opinions accepting and willing to listen to others. We need more of this content.
I love your points mentioning that you are attending their event, and they change their opinions with questions. I see so many people go to these events and preach the bible like its the end of the world, or just be hostile trying force them out of their opinions. Thanks Amir, for being a free thinker!
THIS IS WHY I LOVE YOU'RE VIDEOS, because it's so important to see peoples opinions about this stuff. The thing that made me the most angry was "What is a woman to you?" When you really think about that, it's a very simple question that shouldn't be difficult to answer at all. You might like to wear a dress one day and a baggie t-shirt the next, but that doesn't make you a woman one day and a male the next, it makes you a person that likes to change it up. They don't like when gender is involved but then involve gender with everything?? I believe that everyone should dress how they want, but you're still a man or a woman period. Expression doesn't change YOU as a whole, like that's your personality, it has nothing to do with what's in you pants. The fact that WOMEN can't even answer what a WOMAN is says so much. Imagine how other women across the world with less rights would feel hearing that, it's sad. As a bisexual woman, I personally prefer feminine BIOLOGICAL women and masculine BIOLOGICAL men. If she wanted to wear a baggy shirt, or he wanted to wear a crop top does that change my sexuality??? It makes no sense. (Also you're from Illinois too?!? I'm from Justice!)
I identified as pansexual when I was a teen because for me, as long as you are a good person, I don't care what you look like or what you have going on downtown. I also attended my first pride with my girlfriend at the time. I had just graduated high school and almost 19. That was 11 years ago. Now, I still consider myself as pan but I'm in a hetero marriage and have a 2yo son. I still support LGBT but I am not so open-minded that my brains are falling out. I Don't feel comfortable taking my small child to a pride festival because of all the inappropriate things going on. He will know of age appropriate topics about lgbt because it's part of the world but I'm not going to indoctrinate him to thinking he is also part of the community..
I get so sick of these people who are "pan/nonbinary/queer", usually combined with neurodivergent (almost *_ALWAYS_* ADHD/autistic - never down syndrome-neurodivergent, or schizophrenic-neurodivergent). They're usually also white, middle class, college educated and never been with a member of the opposite sex. But they'll whine and complain all day long about "being marginalized".
Love all of your other vids but 100% 'man on the street' is great and would love to see more! Your calm and polite manner, the questions and approach was all so respectful and engaging ❤ (Also the purple hair girl was so sweet and gave kindergarten teacher vibes 💜)
That was well done. Also nice to see them not being aggressive to you. Usually they attack people questioning (based on the number of videos Ive seen of others who tried the same thing)
I liked the nuance of saying that theres not really anything inherently wrong with the furry costumes or the pup masks in and of themselves, but actually joining the communities is a more adult requirement. Certainly if a kid is interested in these colorful costume things or the concepts that things like disney or fantasy stories has given them, its not like anyone can really take that interest away from them. But parents can protect them from the interest leading them into trouble. Like yes we teach kids about marraige and friendships and light or pure topics of love, but we keep the sex and complicative topics from them until theyre old enough to hopefully process such things properly and be responsible for themselves.
Amir on the streets turns the gay up 50%, like watching a slightly different person. I was not expecting that. Also as usual you hit all the points of reason.
Well it's like having a friend saying they're gay, and then one day you suddenly you see your friends "gayness" expressed. Stuff's different after that
"A woman is someone who identifies as a woman" is wild to me. Like...ok what is a sidewalk? "A sidewalk is something that identifies as a sidewalk"....ok but to identify as a sidewalk, you have to know what a sidewalk is...and if you ask them what is a sidewalk I guarantee they can give you a definition of a sidewalk. But they will not define woman because they know defining what a woman is will expose how insane their argument is. They cannot win if they define it because it's going to be one of the following definitions: 1. "Someone born with female reproductive organs" - ok then you cannot claim to be an actual woman if you were born male, they lose. 2. "Someone who feels feminine" - ok, men can most certainly be feminine. There are no rules against that. You can be a more feminine man or a more masculine woman and you still fall under the guidelines of being your biological sex. So if they define it this way, they expose themselves as sexists who believe genders must fit into stereotypical roles. They cant define woman because they aren't using logic and reasoning. I can't respect that. I can respect someone identifying as a trans man or trans woman. But you are exactly that...trans. It's ok to be that. Seems to me if you are a man who argues that you are a woman because you feel like a woman, rather than saying you are a trans woman...seems like YOU'RE the transphobe here because you clearly see something wrong with being trans and demand we pretend you are the real thing because you dont like the thought of being labeled trans.

That's how a community really should be!
"i dont think little kids should be in social media" holyshit that has to be one of the best takes the entire video
These weird communities would greatly reduce in size if kids were kicked off social media. They wouldn't be able to brainwash these kids and therefore wouldn't have memebrs anymore.
I cant believe the furry had by far the most reasonable response to gay Republicans
Sometimes I don't want to be a human being. If life were *Super Mario Bros. 2,* I'd be in Toad mode more than the three human characters.
That’s what I’m sayin 😭😭😭
Furry supremacy moment

Even if he disagrees with their opinion, he’s not shutting them down, he’s simply listening to them completely and just having a genuine conversation.

Wonderfully put, how this isn’t common sense is beyond me. This world is getting less and less child friendly and it truly breaks my heart

@@puthica2060nothing like segregating people 😂😂
Biologica sex is not a spectrum. It's binary. Masculinity and femininity can be a spectrum because people express different aspects of that in their behaviour, mannerisms, appearance, etc.
Exactly
I think you mean that GENDER is binary, as in 99% of all biological species, there is only male and female anatomy. No other animal in the world says to itself that it feels like a woman therefor it is one. Only humans have the ability to develop that concept. Sexuality can be spectrum because a person’s sexual preference is what flows under the prism. But sexuality is not gender. No matter how fem a man thinks he is, at the end of the day hes not a woman. Period.
The majority of trans and non-binary hate to hear the word "biological" because it drives them into corner.
srry to bring up smn rare but biological sex is actually a spectrum! intersex ppl who got 2 X chromosomes or are missing a certain sex chromosomes do not fit in the binary! the body having the correct amount of sex chromosomes but failing to produce/overexerting testosterone or estrogen for whatever reason also doesn’t fit in a binary! it is very much a spectrum, not a particularly large one but a spectrum nonetheless
Saying that being a woman is a performance and a choice. Is just outrageous. @2:32
Say that to the women at the Magdalene laundries or the Indian women sacrificed on their husbands funeral pyres, or the thousands of girls trafficked every day 😭😭😭
A lot of the madness at the moment is because everyone is performing lol 😅. It's not funny for the rest of us though
@@Itsstuff7328 yup 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I do wish there were more sfw spaces in the furry fandom
I mostly only interacted with a small friend group within the fandom and they were all sfw but yeah it is a problem with the nsfw being almost everywhere and not safe for children
@@BeesKneesBenjamin I'm glad I am not in the deep deep of the fandom because all of this sounds like so much oh wow 😵💫

They show up to Let Women Speak events regularly because itis the only place they can tell their stories.

furries are not sexual by default... if you see a fursuiter, showing that to your child is no different than showing them a mascot at disneyland. how is that inappropriate?

I really appreciate this video and the approach you took in simply asking questions and allowing them to speak for themselves.

10:31 it’s crazy that some random man just walked over and took a picture with him. That’s sorta gross?
I know right. Some people are too chronically online to see themselves in the third person and how they are interrupting the two people talking
Amir on the streets turns the gay up 50%, like watching a slightly different person. I was not expecting that. Also as usual you hit all the points of reason.
He’s dressed for success
Well it's like having a friend saying they're gay, and then one day you suddenly you see your friends "gayness" expressed.
Stuff's different after that
People reflect the environments they are in.
Could you give an example/time stamp ? When in the video did you see this?
Thats like when people go back to their home country and their accent gets thick suddenly.
NO, NO, NO. Kids should not see this, ever. What happened to parents today. 😢😢😢😢
I love how the whole time you were so respectful!💖
"A woman is someone who identifies as a woman" is wild to me. Like...ok what is a sidewalk? "A sidewalk is something that identifies as a sidewalk"....ok but to identify as a sidewalk, you have to know what a sidewalk is...and if you ask them what is a sidewalk I guarantee they can give you a definition of a sidewalk. But they will not define woman because they know defining what a woman is will expose how insane their argument is. They cannot win if they define it because it's going to be one of the following definitions:
I really liked your interview style and being able to get people to converse without them getting too defensive and walking off.
Lowkey Amir looks really good 👍🏾
i love this, youre not asking silly questions just to make people you dont necessarily agree with look bad but you ask questions to actually want to hear what others have to say and to make them question.
