Bro, Tarantino has never had a billion dollar grossing film. He's a phenomenal writer for sure and his films are mostly amazing but none of them are huge box office grossers. Django Unchained is his highest grossing film and it made $426 m worldwide. But as you mentioned it's about legacy which he has definitely created for himself as a filmmaker.

Saath Chiranjeevi constitutes Hanuman ji, Raja Bali, Bhagwan Parshuram, Vibhishan, Ashwathama, Maharishi Vayas and Kripacharya.
Whatever happened it’s not a mistake, it’s a crime.
