haven't even finished watching but id love to know how he made sure all this did not affect him(behavioral traits) males do not voice out about their upbringing and it has a huge effect in their mental health hence we have a high rate of GBV, crime, absent fathers and substance abuse etc. because they behave that way due to the scars of the past sometimes. So how did he master this life thing? what helped him to stay focused and keep pushing in this life thing. What advice would he give to amadoda and young boys that are going through such or abadlule kwezizinto nabo....because zine long term effect ezizinto. Maybe he can have a conversation with bhut' Skhu to kind of talk to abafana have a conversation/man's confrence on the channel because ke iyadingeka we live in tough times.

I'm watching this a year later, loved the story, loved the lessons learned from experiences. My husband had a similar experience with his father, whom after he was born married his mom's friend. My husband says that he would go to visit his dad and they would not open the gate for him at some point. His dad refused to pay his university registration saying what would he do with an HR qualification, if he was studying agriculture he would pay. I think the last straw was when his wife (stepmom) asked us to take his car because she thought dad should not be driving because of his age and health.. After taking the car, she told people that we took the car without permission and we are refusing to return it. If I was not there, I would have believed the story too, but I was there she bugged us to take the car in front of dad. We laughed it out at the time, but when our car broke down we thought why not. We took it, oh my I have never seen anything like that in my whole life. I've never seen someone who would lie and believe their lie like that. My husband was so hurt. I doubt that he ever recovered from that. He stopped trying

There are so many elements in your journey that spoke to me deeply, but one thing I learnt distinctly is that everything happens for a reason. Many painful things happen to us that don't make sense at the time, but in the end we learn that God is indeed sherparding our ways. There is purpose in our pain, hold on and keep going.

Emotional abuse as a kid is very dangerous and painful guys. 🤞😭Worse part you can't even tell anyone or explain to your parents what you are going through since it's not physical abuse and that time the parents can't even notice because they are also going through their own problems themselves. Yazi what you are explaining is exactly what's happening to my kids my daughter just turned 12 not even a happy birthday from her dad or his family and he saw her twice that day his family stays in the same street we stay in.. You know I'm 35 and I never ever saw my dad not even a photo of him and I made a promise to myself that my kids would know their father it's only now that I see that it's better not knowing your father in some cases coz my kids know their father and see him almost every day passing our house but they dnt know him and he is not even married just a single guy but he just doesn't care.. I asked my daughter my 12 year old daughter why ddnt she tell her dad it's her birthday that day she why should I have to tell her grown man I'm his only daughter how can he not remember my birthday it brought tears to my eyes but we keep it moving hopefully this whole situation makes her and doesn't brake her coz you sir turned out to be just fine you are soft spoken and very respectful to your younger sister

U-Malathisi oozes nothing but will power and strong conviction in all he’s been through, he wanted better himself regardless of the circumstances. What a gentleman! What a sad story but with a beautiful ending. If are reading this and you have a father who is doing right by you, you need to appreciate him and thank God for blessing you with that precious gift of a father. Im glad that despite everything you guys went through you rose above the situation and conquered. You didn't pity yourselves and caused your mom trouble just because your father was absent in your lives. Instead you guys fought and worked hard to be the great achievers that you are today. It is true they say if you are determined to be something in life, you will be it if you stay focused and work against your challenges and obstacles🤗. This was beautiful to watch and thanks to you and your family sis Nozi for sharing your story with us.

Yhu thank you Nozi, 😭😭😭! You and your brother are story tellers, uthi ndimamele (he commands it). Nozi you’re blessed, your brother loves you so much! He’s got a peaceful spirit mani, there’s something special about him and his spirit, I could sense and feel it. Was so touched! Ok, your dad mani how could he leave a child by the gate, to do what there, why frustrate him? But as Bhuti said, God has a plan for everything, He knew what He was preparing Bhuti for. Was so happy to also hear that he’s busy with his studies, Praise be to God, siyabonga mani. And may Bhuti Malathisi have a brighter future, May God’s hand be upon him. Ndinifisela konke okuhle and your offspring

It's amazing how your brother is the replica of your mom & you're the replica of your dead 😅
I don't understand people who ill-treat children because that messes up with the child's psychology. I'm glad your brother outgrew & healed from that trauma.
When he said "look where I am now" I really shed a tear.
Thank you for sharing yours & your family's stories ❤️❤️❤️

I quote these words "...rather not have a father at all". What God has shown me is that He uses the abandoned, the most unlikely. Those left alone to fed for themselves. He did it with Joseph. He did it with buthi Malathisi. He will do it with me. He will do it with you too...
