"The alleged defendant." Dude, you _are_ the defendant. That's not in debate.
Haha, right? Say "alleged crime" all you want, but nothing about you being a defendant is alleged 🤦♂️
True, but I think he's trying to distance himself from the guilt usually/often associated with that word.
@@Ellen-hs7zb he also kept mentioning that the name on the file is incorrect somehow.
@@Chancse yeah what's that all about? What's he saying his name is supposed to be?
@@puddlesplasher7 This is a sovereign citizen tactic where a strawman identity (in this case, the name in all-caps) did all the bad things and the differently written name is "clean" of any tort.

Even before he became a mass murderer, This guy was one of the biggest losers in the country. The fact he thinks he’s owed even an ounce of respect is insulting.
Lol biggest losers in the country. My mans, I have been looking for a way to describe pre-parade attack brooks and you nailed it. Perfectly accurately said.
He is such a POS and thankfully he is in prison bending over while Big Bubba and Tyrone have their way with him.
The best part of this trial is at 3:01 hour and he is sitting in the other courtroom crying like the little punk he truly is.
He killed 6 people and hurt so many more and acts like he did nothing wrong but when he gets his feelings hurt, he sits there and cries proving that he is just a punk who tries to act tough.
@@usmom1113A punk that likes to hit women, and impregnate minors. A real dirtbag.
Yup. You nailed it. Everyone that meets him leaves with less of themselves. Just pure evil. The D’s reject
Love how Judge Darrow inserts “you have incredbile hearing” at 6:50:00 or so when he hears something in an audio file that was overlooked. Amazing how good his hearing is when it is convenient for him to hear….and Darrow made sure that was on the record in her own, brilliant way.
This DEMONIC defendant has what I proved about my husband, and I told it to my husband’s face, which is “SELECTIVE HEARING”😄. This happened while we had company and my husband kept saying “What?”. When my husband went down the hallway to bring something back to the living room, one of our guest looked at me and leaned close to ask me what was wrong with my husband constantly asking “What?” I whispered back to her and TRUTHFULLY informed her that my husband has “CONSTANT CONVENIENT HEARING”, then my husband hollered back from the room down the hallway “I do not”. Then here comes my husband barreling back down the hall to where our guest & I were, I told my husband AND our guest “You PROVED me and my comment true, AND in front of guest, so shut that hole in your face that is between your nose and chin.”
You are absolutely right!!! I totally missed that. And oh boy did he puff up when she said that! 😂😂😂
He was mad because the judge stopped his nonsense!
Amazing how great his hearing is when he isn’t talking OVER the judge or someone else 😅
@@Lakota790I think to an extent everyone has it, it’s just when you use it 😂, sometimes it’s even funny, but I hope you and your husband have a much better relationship than Darrel Brookes and anyone
If he talks to his judge like this after killing 6 people, imagine how ge talks to Erica and his kid.
Well we know he doesn't talk to his kids like that b/c he does NOT have sh!+ to do with his kids, which @ this point I think that's the best situation for his kids!
SN: I found myself reading your name handle as if I was saying it like I would my dog! Lol ❤
Every appellate judge in her district owes this judge-BIG TIME
This is an EXCELLENT POINT.
Very astute observation!!

This entire trial is only about making a record for appeal. She is making BEAUTIFUL music 😉
Him saying “alleged defendant” over and over is hilarious to me. You ARE the defendant!
That's just one of the many legal terms he needs to learn while he's behind bars, in my opinion.
That's what I said 😂 you ARE THE DEFENDANT! his crimes may have been alleged but there's no such thing as alleged defendant 🤣
ALLEGEDLY 🤣🤣
He was explained that when he fired his lawyers. He was told by the judge, “You’re not the alleged defendant. You ARE the defendant. The charges of the crimes are alleged.” He just willfully chooses to ignore he was told that. Just like he said he knew he wouldn’t have counsel after it was fully explained and yet lied and said he didn’t know he couldn’t have council. He threw everything at the wall to get a mistrial or the judge to just throw out the case 😂
@@bobthedopeman7327 it’s not allegedly anymore. He IS the murderer 😂
I love how Detective Casey keeps referring to Brooks as “Darrell Brooks, the Defendant,” knowing it’s something he keeps objecting to. 😆
He's one of my favorite witnesses to watch. He remembers every person and event so clearly and carefully phrases every sentence to the jury so they know beyond the shadow of a doubt that it is DB, the defendant, who he was talking about.
@@bankscloverbaywatch2578 My too.
@@bankscloverbaywatch2578 I was really impressed with him too!! He was a great witness!! I, too, loved how he would call him by his name and state he was the “defendant” instead of how DB states it, the “alleged defendant.”
@@emmecohen4306 So funny the way he kept referring to himself that way, lol. There’s no “alleged” about it-he is THE DEFENDANT, aka Darrell Brooks. 😂
I like Detective Casey. His personality reminds me of a sassy cat. A no-nonsense, sassy cat.
One day he claims to be deaf in one ear.
The next he hears something on the tape that no one else in the courtroom heard.
Dude has NO IDEA what he's doing
That’s definitely some selective hearing. If it serves him he can hear perfectly well, at other times he can’t hear a thing without headphones!!

It must be sooo difficult for a narcissist to lose all control of his surroundings...
I think that’s why he was crying after they forcibly took his test results. He might have realized that’s what his life will continue to be like.
@@hmaese as it should be.... Every single movement should be control. He certainly took that away from 6 innocent people and many many others.
@@hmaese It’s very sad for me to say that the only REAL tears he can muster are tears for himself. I believe that those tears we saw were genuine, but all for himself, and yes, I think it was that he felt powerless when Judge Dorow forced him to present his test results and then had the Sherriffs take it off of him. That was a definite narcissistic injury to him. I bet he doesn’t feel that way very often, and the fact that it came from a female made it worse. Sadly he had no real tears for the victims. You did an awesome job Erika. I could literally see the hurt in your eyes when you had to respond to this Monsters cross examination. Hold your head high and be glad that you will never have to deal with him again!
She did a great job testifying! I’m sure it was hard for her but she kept her composure and dignity!
Kori definitely saved her life. The guy was going to kill her eventually. Too bad nobody could save the others.
@@hardinmichael1981 She was great. Did you see the anger in Kori’s face when presented with the picture of Erika’s injuries?! I’m sure if he “chested up” again instead of committing 6 murders and injuring another 50+ we’d be watching Kori on trial for murder today. I was amazed at the strength and emotion behind Erika and Kori’s testimonies- they are forever tied to this parade massacre…plus the trauma of what they actually experienced. I can’t imagine what that must feel like.
I agree she did good, but I don't like how she's saying 'He' when she should be saying 'YOU' when this JackAss is questioning her. I'm not at Koris part yet. But I can't wait for it.

Every time the judge asks, "Mr. Brooks, do you have an objection?" I laugh coz we know by now that he has at least 5748907 for every statement made 😄

It was so hard to hear the radio traffic during the officer’s testimony. You can hear the fear in their voices and screams in the background. For this guy to sit there emotionless, I’m so disgusted.
the desperation in his voice instantly brought tears to my eyes. it‘s so scary that there are people in this world that are incapable of feeling empathy…

I feel bad for everyone who ever had to deal with him in real life. He is a monster
I thought the same thing...I wondered so often, if he's this bad in a formal court room setting, can you imagine how bad he is in a more relaxed, private setting? The narcissism, the manipulation, pathological lying, the bullying, the circular arguments and childish antics. And he was with a young, naive CHILD for many years-surely using these same tactics. My God.
Except his mother. She enabled his bad behavior.

@@LowerYourExpectationsPlebThis guy is sovereign citizen. I doubt he's ever voted in his life. Sovereigns rarely care about politics, though when they do, they actually skew more often far right than far left.
This man is well-worth everyone's hate, but I wouldn't be surprised if you felt very differently about him if he was an anti-liberal, pro-Trump and had run over a bunch of people protesting something you don't agree with them protesting. (Like human rights violations, probably)
Politics don't belong in court cases like this. Nor do your assumptions that black=criminal democrat.
Ms. Dorow is an amazing judge, she is empathetic and kind, and because she leaves her politics at the door each day while in court, like any proper judge should.
I doubt you'd have the same positive things to say as I just did if you found out she was a liberal judge even if she acted exactly the same way no matter what. Your only compliments of her are about her political beliefs.
He is living out his lifelong dream of being a jailhouse lawyer…he is loving every second of this even though every single argument he makes digs him further into a hole
I agree. This is a fun game for him. He knows he’s not getting off so he’s doing what he can to be out of his cell.
And he only charges 3 Ramen noodles and 2 kool-aid packs per hour!
@@mypinkedworld 🤣👍
I don’t know that he’d ever considered being a jailhouse lawyer before per say. That said, after weeks of seeing his court appointed attorneys work to defend him, and realizing he had no legitimate leg to stand on . Except his lame excuses his mommy always accepted in the past when he was in jam, when intimidation, lying and anger worked best for him .
He realized his usual dysfunctional self defense and a “sovereign citizen” defense was his only hope. He saw his appointed attorneys had little to work with. Couldn’t let that happen ! He also knew they wouldn’t argue with the judge in the way he desired. But boy is he enjoying it ! ESP toying with Erika.
@@NurseLucyAndTheLaw he’s been to jail/prison at least 5 times for previous convictions. Darrell Brooks believes he is always right, but never understands anything anyone else says.
The word narcissist gets chucked around to easily but he is the very definition
“i still dont understand the charges against me.” dude…. you ran through a parade with your car killing people after assaulting your ex girlfriend, what do you not understand?
Not to mention injuring countless mores both physically and mentally.
Him saying he doesn't understand the charges ?? That's a lie!
watching him try to cross examine is like watching a fifth grade mock trial
I had a third grade mock trial that went smoother than this lol.
PixylOwl, that is an insult to 5th grade moot court and 6th grade faux appeals court. (Joking) I have observed 5th and 6th graders who have more legal prowess and understanding than Brooks. They actually know how to formulate an objection that applies to the context of the oppositions question.
Brooks can't even figure out who the plaintiff is, which is his confusion between the application of phrases in the contexts of civil litigation versus criminal prosecution. The term plaintiff is usually used in civil law where a complaint of neglegence is filed, whereas the term prosecution is used when a charge is levied by a government entity that is criminal in nature. Cheers!
5th graders are way better than this. They know what forthright means lol
His crosses are so bizarre bc of his lack of reading comprehension and logic 😂
Just the faces of all the witnesses during his unending repeat questions

You're not the "ALLEGED DEFENDANT" you are THE DEFENDANT. You are ALLEGED to have committed a crime. When you were charged you became THE DEFENDANT.
When you chose to represent yourself you became THE FOOL!
Well put Dave!
This man is truly a sick individual. Narcissistic. Thinks so highly of himself. He began nodding when the judge was praising his performance during the witness testimony and then began crying after hearing such wonderful things about himself. This says so much about him a person.
I think that those were the ONLY genuine tears he shed during this trial…and they were for himself, and himself alone. The other tears he shed, during his opening and closing arguments were fake, forced, and shallow. I think the tears and the nodding we all saw there was because Judge Dorow forced him to hand over those test results and had the Sheriff take them off him. I think that made him feel powerless and his ego took a hit. Plus it was a hit that came from a female…and we know how he feels about females…he believes he is dominant when it comes to women. Having Judge Dorow emasculate him really hurt that narcissistic persona. I think, in that moment, he got a sense of what prison life is going to be like…someone always telling him what to do and when to do it. He’ll get it from the guards, and the other inmates. For him I bet that is terrifying!!
He is acting so pathetic after the lunch break. Looks like he is fake crying, and doing his little mistreated act. Omg I just can’t imagine having to deal with this guy every day. Bless everyone in court for having to do so!

The Audacity of him saying hes a little soar from some bruises on him after he plowed through a parade of people!
The fiasco about Juror 41 made me angrier! "I don't forget faces, i don't " all BS!
And I am guessing that calling out a juror that way only endeared him even further to the jury. Like another poster said, what a buffoon.
dumbdarrell tried to get Erika to tell him she was with another man😂😂😂
It blows my mind that he expected and wanted thr jurors to find him not guilty but yet he couldn't show them an ounce of respect and stand when they'd enter the court even with the judge asking everyone to rise for the jurors. It just shows how self entitled he is and how he thinks he's more important than anyone else sitting there shuffling through his papers instead of standing and giving the jurors and judge respect.
Darrell has an oversized sense of his own importance. Grandiose ideas and misguided self confidence in his ability.
Someone must have pointed out his not standing as a mistake because he stood from that day on, beginning on Monday.
He also learned to put his nonsensical plaintiff questions at the end of his bout of questioning because he might have been worried the judge would cut off his cross exam.

What is up with this man? This is the weirdest court case ever. It must be very traumatising for the witnesses. And the judge is doing a phenomenal job.
I love how Erica’s demeanor is completely different talking to the prosecution then when she talks to Brook’s! There’s obviously no love lost there. Not that he deserves it! Men who hit women are cowards!
Glad I'm not the only one that noticed..brilliant slap in his egotistical face!
Yes I too agree. Once she found out from Det. Guth db was never getting out of prison she’s no longer afraid of him.
What a strange, strange man. He cared more about the DV charges than murdering and injuring dozens of people.
Like most narcissistic DV guys, he was obsessed with killing Erica once he knew she was leaving for good, and it seems to me that when he couldn’t kill her because she had the protection of friends from the shelter, he was still in a murderous rage, but to this day he’s still obsessed with his goal bc the murders he did commit didn’t satisfy his purpose.
One thing I don’t understand, that’s why the judge would allow him to call himself the alleged defendant. He’s not an alleged defendant is actually the defendant.
He objected to the officer looking at the jury while answering. 🤡
He’s been sitting in jail but has “no time” to go over the paperwork for his case over months and months. He is literally “doing time,” that’s all he has on his plate right now. I can’t imagine if I had all my living responsibilities removed how many boxes of documents I could study. I hope they throw the book at him, he’s doing everything he can to stall.
I believe the materials are not allowed in the jail. He is afforded 2 hours a day with them; however that was his choice. He chose to exercise this right and can not keep using unprepared as an excuse.
The hearing to relinquish his attorneys happened 3 days before the trial. Im not sure when he filed a motion to release them, but that's when it was granted. He's only had a few days to review all the exhibits. Im not sure if he's allowed to keep them in his cell, either.
RIGHT?!?!? How did he have NOTHING but time to prepare!!!!😩
Half the time (or maybe all the time) he throws it away or tears it up right on camera and in front of everyone but then turns around claiming it’s all unfair and he doesn’t know what’s going on when they’re going above and beyond to give him every opportunity way above what they should or have to do
@@StelaraWhitmore the materials are allowed in his jail cell but he would mainly use his available time to research case laws that would help him get his case dismissed.

Erika did an amazing job. I can't imagine how difficult that must be. I hope someone reaches out to help her get her life back on track after this man. She seems very sweet and genuine. Great witness. The fact that Mr Brooks can't even stand for the jury is so disrespectful.. he should be doing everything he can to look more respectable. They're gonna slam him with the maximum charges so fast.
Interesting she testified that Brooks told her he knew the area, then he said he did not, points to him lying.
he brought her there and mad her stay and made her homeless, when she stayed with him they were sleeping out in the car in the yard!! and he wants to act like he cared for her, but turns around and wants to trash her to the jury and the people in court and all of us!! he is useless creature!! if that is love we all better without it!
I swear the bailiff is just waiting for Brooks to give him a reason. The look of disgust is palpable! 😂😂😂
Interesting how he is able to cry like a baby when his feel feels gets hurt but not 1 ounce of empathy or emotion for the death and pain he inflicted on his unsuspecting victims. Brought a warm fuzzy feeling to see him crying
He's an attention hoe thought people would feel sorry for him. NOT
Can someone tell him to google the definition of hearsay when he gets back to his cell 🙄
he doesn’t have time!
The judge at some point makes a point to tell him to look it up in the statue book the definition of hearsay 😂
He still doesn't know what hearsay means.
Ha, right? The "hearsay" objection when the detective was being questioned (2nd witness) was utterly laughable. He's clueless.
I hear, then I say
Is there a plaintiff in this matter?

@@squidward1975 On that one I'd put money on he thinks he'll appeal because there's no injured party. Too bad it won't work too, because watching The Mountain gouge his eyes out would be delightful.
