Abbi is another fave person of mine! Love you both!
I'm child free, 47, zero regrets. Single for life too, I stopped looking because I just can't connect to anyone (years ago so stopping to look doesn't make the right person appear trust me).
If you really want a child when older foster or adopt a non baby. Many people are not suited to be parents or can't afford kids and have them anyway because they think they have to. No kids is a valid option. Do everything you can to not let Roe V Wade be overturned.
The world is too overpopulated, have less kids. There is no unselfish reason to have kids. It's all for what "I" want.

Well, listening to this after Abbi Jacobson got engaged, and is living the lesbian dream, is somehow a good (hopeful?) reminder that you can change your way out of your innerturmoil. I am myself trying to, very much also trying to get better at sharing, and figuring out how even to connect to people deeply, wish she had spoken more to this. Anyway, I wouldn't have thouhght someone who created Broad City with her own alter ego at the center and wrote a book about her life had a lot of problems sharing and being open - but I get it, it's always different on a personal and genuine level. (vs a digested, presented, outward facing level).
So even that unsaid thing rang helpfully true. I guess I wish Phoebe would have asked more follow up questions, ha

Amazing interview to hear more personal stories. The one thing that hit me was talking about how people you know back home are having kids and married, etc. I struggle with that getting closer to 40 and I it feels like I haven't accomplished anything. Working dead end Jobs.

Aw, Ab. You give me hope. If I could pick one famous person to be friends with it would 100% be her. I feel so grateful for the way she's touched my life from a distance.

I can relate though, no one really tells you if you have a lesbian lifestyle how different having a baby is. A lot more planning, work, $ and a team of doctors. It’s a feeling if can I? Can we afford it? We pick the father? 🤔 Keep clearing the path Abbi. Thank you

Phoebe, I listen to all your podcasts and I love them. I used to listen to Sooo Many White Guys during my boring late night office job in college. I would silent laugh at my cubicle and my coworkers were always like um are you okay lol. You are such a great interviewer and so hilarious. I am a big fan and love this new podcast so much ❤ thank you for what you do. 🥰
