Yea plus if you never touch the ball you can get any boosts or heat check for that momentum on your character. I notice even tho I don’t have take if I hit a few shot and a 3 or dunk I make more shot even contested vs only shooting for the first time with the ball. Building momentum is 🔑
You're not lying about the middies on 2s. This year ive been running 2s with a double Lock lineup with a 6'7 Pure Lock on my team and me on a normal dribble style post scorer 6'8 Lock with 90 middy. If you go for middies when u beat your man on 2s theres no help defense. It's just a wide open super easy to green shot whereas if u go to the rack the other defender will be able to help and make it more difficult by forcing u to make additional reads.
as per you asking why they do all those unnecessary moves… i feel like it’s the “going for a clip” content creation showing itself in a comp setting. most competive players at 8:15 would’ve boosted right for the quickstop tracy or middy fader
