- Some of you have been speculating... and you are right!! I was the seashell on The Masked Singer!! I'm telling you about my experience competing on the show, singing in front of an audience for the first time in 20 years, and what got me through it all.

I'm not really much of a singer Tamera I mean I do sing just sing along to the soundtracks to theme songs from movies cartoons video games TV shows etc.

I sang when I was in class at school before the quarantine but in front of a live audience that's more of a dream not a reality to me sorry Tamera.

It is true. I thank God she is alive and exist in our time. As a black women what makes it to the stage are the idea of over sexualized women to represent us all in music. Its great to show black women who aren't the stereotype of over sexualized. Don't get me wrong I like to be sexy, but I do it with class. I literally copy style from Megan Markle and Jasmine Tookes

Sis, I’m weeping. Singing was my entire life for the majority of my life. I got crushed by some circumstances and actions of others and I haven’t sang for over 5 years.
I have forgiven... but fear has eaten me up so much I’ve not even been able to sing in the shower.
Your courage and confidence is inspiring. I think it’s time I looked fear in the face and came back out of my shell.
I don’t know what that looks like, but you’ve motivated me to explore singing again.

Go for it girl! Live your dreams! If it takes therapy to recover from past traumas to do it, just do it! If you don't, you will always regret it.

Tamara, first let me say that I miss you so much on The Real. As a straight man it has been such a revelation to see myself reflected in all of you women. Particularly with you Tamara I am also a crier LOL I cry at everything that touches my heart, and I love you for that. I also love that you're such a mom, and I never got the sense that you left that at the door when you did your show, every bit of you showed up and I love you for that. Last thing I'll say about The Real is that I wish you guys will remember you have a lot of male fans out here who are just as crazy about you as your women viewers. I'm honored to say that I got a chance to come to see the show taped live, but sadly you are not there that day and your husband sat in for you. Anyway, with regard to The Masked Singer..... TAMARA YOU MURDERED IT GIRL!!!! WOW 😲!! I had heard you sort of fake singing at different times on the talk show, but it was just playing around and nothing serious. So I had no idea the range and ability of your voice, wow!! You are amazing Tamara. The clearness of your phrasing, how clearly you say the words, your tone and how clearly you hold out your notes, also the control that you have on the lower notes even while you were nervous was amazing. My favorite song was the song by roxette, listen to your heart. Oh my God! I love how you took that note down in the opening phrase where it says ( look in your eyes yeah, we built the love.) I love how you did that it gave the song a darker quality and atmosphere that went along with what the lyric is expressing. I hope that makes sense. I am only sad that you were voted off because that means we won't get to hear more songs from you. But I do pray you will show up vocally in some other way either an album or a live performance or something. Well done Miss housley, well done. PS I hope I will see you back on the real someday in the future, or maybe you'll have your own talk show. Whatever you do in the future I will be here for it. Yes!!!! The costume, mannerisms and voice were all her. I knew without a doubt from the 1st performance and I knew no one would guess in a million years

Which side of her was going to shine through. Tamera, you are beautiful, sexy, playful, loving, kind and compassionate. All of that shined through with every performance. My favorite part about watching your journey, is the fear and doubt I KNOW you had to push through. Although I know the audience saw your journey after you had already finished recording the show, I was cheering you on like a proud mama would her baby 🤣 There is more inside of you than you realize. With each new opportunity to overcome fear and doubt, you will continue to grow and learn that your strength runs deep. Keep “listening to your heart”. Keep growing in your “confidence”! I knew A was gonna dish it right back out! That boomerang effect was real! Tam Tam threw the question to A, then bam! Took a couple years but right back it went! I mean, although it went to Tia though, but on the right track. That ball was really in Adrienne court right there. Good use of it!

yes, after the 2nd song I said this is either Tia or Tamera, but the more I watched the mannerisms, I was like this is Tam Tam. I literally cried during the 2nd song, because I was so proud and inspired all at the same time. Every time she would take that deep breath before she sang and then killed the performance, I would just tear up. So thank you for the inspiration and congratulations on pushing through and conquering your fears.

I KNEW it was you after the second time!!!! I honestly CRIED when you were unmasked because I was just so damn happy for you! I didn’t know you could sing like that but when I saw your face it was like I could just feel the weight of that desire and relief at having accomplished this and KILLING IT!!! I saw myself in you in that moment. I have so many dreams that I’ve had to wait on for reasons out of my control and it got discouraging. But I felt overwhelmed with the knowledge that I’m unstoppable when I saw you take off that mask. You are tremendous inspiration to me.

I was born in '97 and now I'm obsessed with this song, specifically your version. Even more so, I'm obsessed with your ever optimistic loving attitude, and I hope I can embody that in hard times of my own, because honestly it affects everyone! Such a contagiously loving attitude, you're an amazing role model!

Tam, 15 seconds in and I was weeping!!! Not kidding. I mean crying. If no one else tells you, you and your voice are so needed and important in the world. My heart broke into pieces within a matter of seconds hearing you sing the very first song on Masked Singer. Your spirit shines through. It's not about having perfect notes--although you did.
