Thanks a lot Mac. Very surprised the Iridium plugs wore down so fast as they are supposed to be good for 80,000 k's. Good to see yours. I think there are brisk plugs that use a Silver centre electrode - silver is actually even better at thermal and electrical conduction than copper - but I hear they need more frequent attention. Not sure about those K&N's though bro :( Too inefficient and let too much junk through. Very grateful for the vid bro. Thanks again!
I don't even own an MT01, but I feel like there is a lot to learn from you. Just so you know you're not alone: XJR1300's middle spark plugs are also a royal pain in the d*ck.
Sounds like George Galloway does the service. :-) joke aside, great video and a superb bike, totally missed this bike even existing until a few days ago. Classic bike magazine carried a review near the back pages of the mag. Been looking at video reviews since, what a stonking machine. Oh, and love your jeep in background, wrangler I believe, I own an old 2003 grand cherokee wj 2.7 diesel. Just about to put new cv boots and bearing on the front end. Lovely bike buddy. They sound awesome too. :-)
Yes she was a good bike. Sold her 2 years ago to an enthusiast, I do miss her though. Happy now with the M109R Boulevard. Thinking the new Triumph Rocket 3r might be the next purchase.
@@biker_dan awesome bike, not a 3r but millennium motorcycles have a rocket 3 for sale, was looking at it yesterday, boss cafe upstairs, :-) was looking at the royal Enfield interceptor too. Lovely bike. Gonna watch your oil change vid on mt01 now. :-)
@@biker_dan think I seen a trailer for vid somewhere on RUclips with somebody who has done exactly that with an interceptor, not sure but I think they fitted a turbo to it. :-)
Hello Biker Dan Great video 👍 Where can I found the MT-01 side plate on the air intakes ??? I would love to have these but can’t find them anywhere on the web ! :)
I have a problem with my MT-01, and here in Brazil, because the bike is rare, I can not solve it. I wonder if you could review a video on my channel and give your opinion. Basically, the bike starts running the engine normally, but when I'm driving and relieving the throttle, it makes an overflow sound (pow...pow...pow)
Did mine today, wow its not easy. You make it look easy getting the spark plugs back in!!!
You just take it easy and take your time,,,
Just purchased exact same colour scheme \ model MT 01 so this is a really useful video - Thanks

Good video Dan keep those MT01 videos flowing 👍🏾
I see your end-ring of the exhaust is also broken. I got some CNC machined from aluminium, so I don't need to tape them.
Hi Dan, great blogs, I have a specked up MT-01 Ackrapovic and all that, I love mine, how do you rate yours.

@@vazza7504 I was looking at the interceptor to convert it into a scrambler type bike. With having the 650 engine it would be perfect

Natanael Albuquerque , comrpei uma MT01 esse mês. Vc ainda tem a sua? Resolveu o problema dos pipocos? Qual sua impressão sobre a moto?
Seu problema pode ser nas velas, bobinas ou canos na queima do combustível .
Do any MT owners had their clutch slipping? I just changed the clutch but I have the impression it is still slipping. Maybe the wrong oil?
@@biker_dan Thanks for coming back on this. Oil change planned!
I changed mine from the diaphragm clutch to the Barrett clutch. A good imptovement
Excelente vídeo! Saudações do BRASIL!
use standard sparks , ... irridiums will screw the running of an MT01 ...
