I’m 68, and strangely have rediscovered ABBA’s music after watching MammaMia on Netflix. I liked their music in the 70s/80s but not a true fan. Now, I am such a huge fan, especially of Agnetha. Her sweetness and beauty are enchanting. Makes me sad knowing they split up due to divorce and I think of all the music we have missed out on due to the divorces. I feel nostalgic for those days, and a bit sad. Anyway, I enjoyed this video and I hope all of them are happy in their lives.
🇸🇪 here. It is actually pronounced: ”Ag” as in ”tug” minus the ”t” ”ne” as in ”near” minus ”ar” ”tha” as in ”tug” minus ”g”, the ”th” is just a spelling variant, many spell the same name Agneta instead. = Agnetha
@@hrafnatyr9794 it should be pronounced as it’s written. That’s the smart way of spelling in every European language except English and partially French, which makes confusion in pronunciation of ever6 name that’s not of AngloSaxon origin.
I really don't care how you think it "should" be spelled or pronounced. I simply explained how IT IS pronounced in Swedish (or as close as I could think of for English speakers to understand). Regardless of your thoughts on Swedish spelling/pronunciation rules, Swedish is the language spoken here and Agnetha definitely pronounces her name the way I tried to convey. I want to assert this with absolute certainty, since I have met, talked to and interviewed her several times over the years 😎😉🇸🇪.
At 0:37 that picture of the little girl in the left corner is FRIDA NOT AGNETHA
It’s AgnEtha , not AgnItha!
It’s pronounced Onyetta actually 😉
