About Tony Tanner, NP:
Tony Tanner is not only a Bariatric Weight Loss Surgery participant, he has also been a member of the Singing River Team for 17 years, six as an ICU Nurse and eleven as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) providing primary care services at Singing River Medical Clinics. He did leave the system for a short period after becoming an NP to train at the Mayo Clinic in pediatric cardiac care - specializing in heart transplants and congenital repairs. Yet, Tony quickly realized his heart was here at home on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and returned to Hurley to give back to the community where he grew up as an NP at Singing River Medical Clinics. He is now the provider at 3 of the 4 Singing River MGCCC Health Clinics providing care to the college’s staff members, their dependents, and students.
