"I Know Why and So Do You"
Music from the film "Sun Valley Serenade"
МНЕ ДЕКАБРЬ КАЖЕТСЯ МАЕМ
Из кинофильма "Серенада солнечной долины"
COMPOSER:Harry Warren
POEM:Mack Gordon
Why do robins sing in December,
Long before the springtime is due?
And even though it's snowing,
Violets are growing,
I know why and so do you.
Why do breezes sigh ev'ry evening,
Whispering your name as they do?
And why have I the feeling
Stars are on my ceiling?
I know why and so do you.
When you smile at me,
I hear gypsy violins;
When you dance with me,
I'm in heaven when the music begins.
I can see the sun when it's raining,
Hiding ev'ry cloud from my view;
And why do I see rainbows
When you're in my arms?
I know why and so do you. - Видеоклипы
Гениально! Лучшее существующее исполнение! Браво!!!
По прежнему лучшее исполнение.
Бесподобно! Браво!
Yes, it is a great version of one of Harry Warren's great compositions. This was America during the war years, a culture so many around the world admired and wanted to emulate. Thanks for posting. Think I'll play it, again. I think the band and singers are from Russia.
Such a beautiful song, written by Harry Warren. Thanks for posting!
More than PERFECT!!!!
Just wonderful!
I got hooked on this song a year ago, melody and words are outstanding. The great Harry Warren's melody, who also wrote "I Had the Craziest Dream, Helen Forrest". Put THAT in the search box. It's nice that the musically sensitive Russian people are delving into the Great American Song Book. That Russian title means "December Seems Like May". Vsyevo khoroshego iz Ameriki, Druziya !
Terrific rendition! Let us have some more please!
Bravo!!!
Excellent!!
Different performance - different tastes.
However, thanks for sharing.
A.

No offense meant!
Musique éternelle
I like this rendition by Muslim Magomaev. It was beautifully done. The orchestra was grander than the original Glen Miller Band - as anything in the Soviet Union. I believe the performance was in 1988.
Muslim Magomaev died in 2008. RIP.
What gruop is this? Where are they from?
