Hi to all my old friends at KSAT! Living 1500 feet away from this dam, I hear this construction all day, but I'm happy because it's progress. Less than two years and we'll back up and running again!
Lakes save water for local gardens & lawns and fishing glad our aussie town has a river & 1weir floods years ago have made it great fishing/bird life growth without the weir it would be a trickle down a sandy creek when storms hit the weirs opened to fill lakes further down stream and gives the river a good flushing

Thanks for posting, but quick question... Why are they using a kibble and a 150t Crawler crane to place concrete, when, surely they could back the truck up, and chute it straight in?

Now the dam is 5 months away from being completed. Time has really flown by.
The gates of the new dam will start being raised on Thursday, 8/31 at 3pm. How about KSAT fly a drone over Labor Day weekend for a completion video.
