That is a really nice unit for Tucson. It was interesting to hear about how the city and community had funded the vehicle as well as the 12 foot height requirement. It certainly showed me the importance of having a customized unit. Good to hear about the safety features for the crew.

I really like the Pierce rigs. Impel and Velocity are my favorite.

Well if you live in Arizona and you need everything you can get and you don't have a budget big enough to separate s*** which some places doesn't have then you customize.
That is why Pierce is as good as it is.

@@rolandmiller5456 I understand and it's great that today such customizing is possible, tasks esp. in technical ass. getting more complicated almost weekly. Here in Europe Rosenbauer is the place to go and a few years ago I had the luck to visit their HQ in Austria.

only a crew of 4 for a ladder truck. Man 6 should be required for a ladder truck.

Tell you what: Go talk to Tucson Arizona and tell them to increase their budget so they can man 6 people.
Because my guess is that's exactly what's constrained them from putting six people in the truck.

@@navblue20 Prince George county can do it. And they are one of the busiest departments in the country. 4 man cab for a truck is pushing the limits for a truck crew. You have the driver who is in charge of the rig so he is off limits it usually takes 2 guys to vent a hole in a roof and where is that 3rd guy going? If u have 4 guys in the back you could have 2 on venting the roof or Windows and 2 doing fire attack more sensible in my opinion. Sadly the fire and police departments are the first to see budget cuts in a city

1 driver / 2 to the roof / 3rd man is outside vent.. it works
