This resonates deeply for me. The concept of cults in various guises of CULTures and communities is facinating. Subcultures such as "bikers", "cowboys", and "hippies" were models I grew up witnessing and trying to understand. Then there are the values espoused by these various cultures and subsets. That is when the rigidity begins to create tensions and isolation between and within members and the larger cultural miliu within which we find ourselves trying to navigate life.
