MAN YOU ARE THE GOAT!!! I cant imagine what you went through to find out this was the part and part number. All my searches when I put this number and vehicle info says it doesn't fit but it fit like a glove and fixed the code issue. I have a 2016 GMC Denali and it worked perfect for us. All your tips made it so much easier too. I had to use the jack to pry down a little.
wish you were here in Oklahoma city lol. Also, I understand it has a recall on year 2015 for Cadillac ESV and Chevy Silverado and GMC Yukon, Sierra, and Yukon XL
I am sorry but you are lucky to be able to fix it yourself:)) I bought the P0711 Code: Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor A Performance on engine 6.2 Cadillac ESV, which is this part in the picture tinypic.host/i/cadi.4Kmlq and I saw a video that did a job on a Cadillac that looked the same as the wiring harness you have on your vehicle. ruclips.net/video/uD6kOSwffXo/видео.html
My 16 had both codes and read the 0700 is caused from generic issues like low fluid or the sensor which was the 0711. This harness fixed both codes for me
Were there any issues after replacing this part of the harness? I'm just asking because my 2017 Colorado is 8 speed transmission, and I was told by the dealership that both pieces of that harness need to be replaced
I have a 2011 tahoe and I'm having some issues. My trans temp digital guage reads blank and my gear indacator doesn't show what gear I'm in and my plus and minus on the shifter doesn't work and also my tow haul want come up when I press it. My traction control button does nothing when I press it and I have no reverse lights when it's in reverse. Could any of this be because of that? I have no check engine light on at the moment.

@@heatherrobertson6656 sorry to hear that. You definitely have some transmission issues going on then. You can try having someone drop the transmission pan, and replace the transmission fluid filter and put in new transmission fluid. Don’t have it “flushed”.
@@heatherrobertson6656 the transmission temperature sensor is not your issue. You might already need a transmission rebuild. I don’t rebuild transmissions.
If this is the first time that the code has ever popped up, then I suggest taking a picture of all of the current codes for your record keeping and then clear the codes. Drive the car and see if it comes back a 2nd time. If it does come back then it is time to take action. This is my recommendation and opinion. Do what you think is best though.
It just happened on my wife’s car 2017 gmc with 50k miles and took to dealership and having them do it and it cost 1376.54. Wow wished I would have seen this video I would have done it myself….😩

It is somewhat easy, but dropping the transmission pan and dealing with transmission fluid isn’t always fun.

no gasket sealer needed ?
No, it sealed up just fine with the gasket.
Did this just have the PO711 code, or was it paired with the PO700? I currently have both, but its very similar to your story. Great video!
