except for a foot of space on the each side of the centrally mounted pump, also they could use height better. Wanna see really efficiently outfitted engines - look at European ones.
First time I have ever seen a Toyota lorry. Police cars are generally Toyota or Honda. Ambulances are Toyota, Nissan or Mitsubishi. Fire Trucks are Mercedes Benz or Toyota from what I can see.
PATLITE Co.'s system. Bell sound used when vehicle dispatch to a fire scene. It means "Beware of fire", and it's a remnant of the fire warning bells of the Edo period.
This bell has a name: Hansho. In the Edo period, this bell was rung to call the fire department and warn the neighborhood. Perhaps that impression is still strong.
As far as I'm conserned - in Japan they aren't allowed to horn or change the tone of their sirens (might be wrong on that) and since Japan is very cultured country, they would instead use the speakers to very politely warn other vehicles on the road. Let's say a fire truck gets close to the intersection, and will be turning right - firefighters would then use the speaker to inform other drivers (very politely) and say something along the lines of "We will be taking a right here, please be careful when giving way, thank you" I suppose that's one way to warn the traffic ;) Hope I didn't mess anything up
No wasted space at all on those rigs! I love the traditional touches, from the helmets to the bell tone and Osaka Motor mechanical sirens.

Even the fire truck sirens sounds almost like the fire truck sirens as philippines
Really cute when they cut through doors to save people, but ok
@@historicsyrup5 haha I think that’s because the Philippines uses Japanese fire engines. A lot of ambulances are made by Isuzu

When I want to visit Japan there are no Europe trucks but there are only Mitsubishi, Hino and Isuzu. Even a few UD by Nissan trucks
Can you tell what is their siren system? Specially the bell sound
