There is so much happening on this song.. for example you expect to hear a chorus after the first pre-chorus but instead just a little riff on the bass, the duet in the chorus with Paolo, the first solo snaps in and obviously the second solo with the funky riff, which reminds me a lot of songs from the 80s or 90s (I don't know) but the combination is definitely cool.
Even though the chorus is the simplest on the record it’s the one I always have to belt out. Full album review thingy well be out mid to late next week
This is my favorite song on the album. There’s just something about it that drew me in and I don’t know why. Kind of left me speechless. As far as a description, I have yet to find the words to describe it 🤷🏻♀️. Absolutely love it though. Great reaction 🐉
The ending of this song got me. I literally had man tears at the end of this song. I didn't expect the shear scale of this song, let alone the album. This is the Trivium I fell in love with in 05...but more mature and confident. I think it all hit me at once at the end of this song
For sure. It ain't for everybody,( thankfully it is for me) but this is a band that knows what the fuck they want. That toolesque section blew my mind like five times since friday
That verse riff has been played on Matt's twitch before a few times, I remember him playing it randomly like a year ago to begin with.
Most likely yeah. Supposedly I’ve heard Paolo play one of the riffs in Shadow on guitar last year

Been picking this one out by ear the past couple of days. Definitely growing into one of my faves off this album.

Kinda how I feel about it but it’s not my favourite. Crisis, Damocles, Dragon, Phalanx are the candidates for my favourite track
@@mynamesleeewis Every song is fantastic, so it’s hard to choose. I would say Abattoir and Phalanx are next on my list if I was made to choose.
@@kristimarriner7673 Shadow of the Abattoir is monstrous. Paolo’s songs hit different
@@mynamesleeewis I agree ❤️🔥
Phalanx and this were my favorite from this album

i didnt know you had a twitch channel. love your reactions dude
Chris Hemsworth? Is that you?
I’m saddened this isn’t the first time
Those aren't synths my dude. Live Orchestra by Ihsahn!
You sure? It sounds like the orchestral things Ben Zimmerman does which are synths. Synths meaning different instruments played using a keyboard
@@mynamesleeewis Pretty Positive. Matt said it multiple times. It's by Ihsahn.
@@akshitjha6251 I have no doubt it’s written by Ihsahn
I heard a bit of bending the arc to fear and a skyline’s severance in some of those riffs, on top of ascendancy.
