Used to be a fan of Canada but they're becoming very unwelcoming. All economic woes are blamed on migrants, I see it rather demeaning.
Losing interest already. Very unstable policies churned out randomly without putting into consideration the ripple effects beginning from dashed hopes of the targets.
Thanks Wolo for the update and let me add this, you're looking cute

Thank you for your input, like you rightly said all economic woes being blamed on immigrants puts it's image in a bad light honestly. Thanks for the complement too

It is actually no longer funny. I used to be a fan of Canada but not anymore. To even think that my husband who is a software developer with years of experience was denied student visa twice this year after paying his 1 year school fees upfront and deposit CAD 5,000 in a Canadian bank he opened from Nigeria and stated that he will transfer additional CAD 18000 already in his Naira account to the Canadian account once his visa is approved, yet they said the denial is based on insufficient fund. This people are jokers honestly.

I TOTALLY agree with you. I was in Canada on a student visa and I experienced firsthand the anti-immigrant attitude. I also experienced racism from not natural born Canadians but the Indian immigrants, who I find to be very unmannerly and disrespectful. After spending one semester, I returned to my home country and back to my job. Canada is seriously overrated. It’s very expensive, reasonably priced housing is very hard to get and getting a job is impossible. Other immigrants are very unfriendly but Canadian citizens still try to maintain their friendly manner but to anyone who wants to still go there, I wish you well. However understand that in Ontario anti immigrant sentiment is very high and you run the risk of being a target. I have been visiting Canada from 2007 and I can attest to the ugly changes that are taking place, year after year.

@@cathyannpatrick6236Aptly said. The influx of indians spoilt everything. And they are very manner less. They hate aggressively just like they do back in india. Only God knows why Gov't allowed so much of them in. In the stores, they act unruly especially to blacks, you will just feel it. They can't even speak properly and yet, they are the preferred.

Just blame Trudeau liberal government for their reckless policy, but the problem is the international students because when they come in to Canada, they don't go to school instead they go for asylum,

Thank you ma aunty Wolo... I see more losses coming next year. There will be more jobs, but no people to work. Lastly, institutions will lay off staffs and most of them will close down.

Maybe if the colleges/universities were not so greedy by charging foreign students 3-4 times tuition fees, they wldnt be recording so many losses now. The gravy train is coming to a halt cos there was no justification to charge foreign students 4x what local students were paying. Foreign students don't get better teaching, or better services than Canadian students despite the extra cash they were paying. Bye-bye to the gouging.

@@ejiroeseorodesnr2693 The lay-offs have already started, eg Sheridan & Mohawk Colleges in Ontario cos enrolment has dropped by over 30% due to lack of foreign students. The $31bn they made from international students annually is now down by at least $10bn

It’s obvious these policies are put in place to restrict and discourage entry into Canada . The good news for students and temporary residents is that there are new discoveries and better opportunities elsewhere. The Uk exemplifies what such path leads to. Today ,many developing economies are getting better, many would be immigrants are staying back in their home countries. Many are voluntarily returning and chose not to take the risk of shattered dreams despite uncertain opportunities. The time is closing in when Canada will open its gates to quantity rather than quality and still, will not be able to fill in the blank spaces.

Canada should understudy the United Kingdom. The UK tried a similar draconian commercialism policy in the past on international students, the whole world boycotted the UK, and they were forced to reverse their policy and make it more symbiotic.

The schools won't go bankrupt, they should just revert to as it used to be. They keep creating courses to make money. If they continue with present situation, will they provide them with jobs? Trust me, about 80% of students sees it as an opportunity to a job and stay in Canada permanently, hence they dont mind paying the exorbitant tuition. They want to continue making money at the expense of the student.

Universities should provide housing, instead of admin bidgs.and gyms, for their students.Stop downloading on taxpayers of Toronto, increase our housing cost and reduce our standard of living. Cut back on frills.
