Ah! my favourite woman in music as well as my idol! There will never be another woman as versitile and talented as she is... First time that I'm seeing this vid, So many songs from both great bands; I love them all.
MycketKar Siouxsie actually took her look from Marc Bolan in the seventies. Watch his video for Dreamy Lady. Siouxsie has quoted him as one of her influences.
@Glenn Cumbria: Right you are. I'm sure you saw the Sex Pistols interview with Bill Grundy (if not, it's here on RUclips). I mention it 'cos along with the Sex Pistols are some of their friends (I'm loathe to say 'groupie'), & amongst them - prominently - I's Siouxsie Sioux. If you've never seen it, I won't spoil it for you, if you have, then you kno Grundy makes a (pathetic) pass as Siouxsie. It's very funny clip. I met her only once - early 90's here in NYC. She was doing a few shows here & my friend was (literally) in love with her. Anyway, somehow - Siouxsie & my friend & I all spent some time together. Can't remember much other than she's a very lovely person, & it was a nice time.
It really was/is such an incongruous pairing - a Mel torné track & The Creatures? But, they pull it off with style and originality. Beautifully. Have the original ep as well. Love this, love Siouxsie Sioux as well as Budgie, et al. One of THE BEST tracks of the 80's, as well as of pop history.
Then Siouxsie with the Banshees had their biggest hit with a Beatles cover. Quite a talented band who emerged from punk and went on to prosper by being different.
Odd how she and Budgie look so cool and still ahead of their time.I guess the audience and dancers weren't handpicked. They look more like Prince fans circa the same year.
the pussycat dolls did not cover of a creatures song. they as well as the creatures covered a mel torme song. as gross as the pcd version is. they did not cover the creatures.
I`ve heard live version of "Venus in Fur" by The Creatures and it was amazing. I don`t like "Right now" song too much. But still is very rare , so thanx:)
Right now, right now (bingbong bananafish) One time, one time (bingbong bananafish) Oh man them Applejacks look good I'm at the HEB to save my soul with tears, and lumicatin' doe ....
@@asabracodeaythfaerie204 Robert has said that playing with them he learnt how to be a better front man. Definitely influenced his style initially but he's taken it to another level. Just like Siouxsie he's unique style wise
chewbacca4me top of the pops was kind of an obligatory promo gig for many brit artists who obviously found it a bore and the audience a bunch of squares.
Congrats! Very good. The best I've seen around here. I remember old times, good times cameraman on The Real Oviedo and all events organized by Global Dance SL
gordon christie Sounds just as fabulous live as well. I got very lucky, and manged to see the tour where she performed both with the Banshees & the Creatures!
1985. She looked beautiful with her red dress, sitting on a stool leg in cast with her skull topped cane. A good year for tours as the Cult were doing Love Tour & The Cure HOTD. Fantastic shows although I thought that The Cult were amazing that year, even though The Cure is my favourite. Ian sounded really good and Billy was still sporting his quiff and White Gretsch. Sublime
So, this is considered The Creatures' big hit, but honestly it isn't very interesting. I'm sure this track was commercially successful because it sounds more like some typical pop music than the rest of their catalogue of songs. Glad my first exposure to them was by popping in a cassette of their album, "Boomerang", that I randomly picked up at a garage sale in 2010. Every track on that album was brilliant and well outside the acceptable range of stuff that gets radio play. I wore it out from replaying it so much. Good times.
This is a very mature, professional, advanced type of sound for any decade. It's like some sort of gothic Sinatra.
''Gothic Sinatra'', I LOVE this! Right on the money.
Love gothic Sinatra
Why has this voice never graced a James Bond film theme song? She was perfect for that.
Absolutely
'Here Comes That Day' would be a great Bond theme.
Pure magic; had the gatefold sleeve of the Creatures EP all those years ago.......fabulous.
I remember wATching this for the first time as a 13yr old in a communal tv room in a caravan park in Ballycastle. LOVE IT
Ah! my favourite woman in music as well as my idol! There will never be another woman as versitile and talented as she is... First time that I'm seeing this vid, So many songs from both great bands; I love them all.
love this!!!!
takes me back
siouxsie will never fail
the soundtrack our lives... rock n roll yeah
Just wonderful*
Another gem of the 80's treasure island
The High Priestess of Punk at her best.
iconic, simple as. Plus she oozes talent.
"let the wine of love flow free..."
Still awesome. Remember when it was first released.
She could sing about paint drying and it'd be new and exciting. 👍❤️
Hah! I love it
The Creatures Bestiary has it on along with Wild Things Ep (fantastic!) and Feast
Original is by Mel Tormé
She is the sexiest musical icon of her generation..Love her to bits
and Kate Bush ?
Lita Ford
Amen to that
A great Track!
🤩🤩
Siouxie belongs to the best singers technically and sonically.
siouxsie looks lovely here!
awesome!!!!!!!!!!!
Ancient jazz tune updated
Siouxsie is a great jazz singer and didn't realise it.
leon jackson's covered this song for his debut album :)
xxx
You mean Robert Smith looks like her. He took her look, she originated it.
MycketKar Siouxsie actually took her look from Marc Bolan in the seventies. Watch his video for Dreamy Lady. Siouxsie has quoted him as one of her influences.
Sarcasm with Seamus.
Not even close there ALLCAPS!! "sigh"

Not The Creatures I was looking for...
+Ross Bedford These two are the only Creatures who matter!
THE creatures so unreal. Sublime
Isn't this retro stuff? Big Band Boogie Woogie anyone?
Wow, I didn't know the Cure did this song...
HAWT
Marc bolan is female
Does anyone realize she's lip sync ing like too many other videos like where's the trombone & sax
der typ sieht aus wie eine frau und singt auch so ??
Great song, but she was such a mardy cow (and even worse, I thought she was sooooo coool!)
kazzielm mardy cow
I love Siouxsie. But this is boring.
the soundtrack our lives... rock n roll yeah
ALTERNATIVE ROCK AWESOME
The original song was sung by Mel Torme (released in 1962) and was written by Herbie Mann & Carl Sigman
It really was/is such an incongruous pairing - a Mel torné track & The Creatures? But, they pull it off with style and originality. Beautifully.

Just a fantastic EP this was; I had the double gatefold sleeve EP of the Creatures. So original, so brilliant, Siouxsie and Budgie so sexy:)
Siouxsie looks amazing here!!
I love this song, but those dancers are hysterical!
Try this one? Hot gossip being weird ? ruclips.net/video/pP4015WKDXg/видео.html

Awwww! I LOVE Siouxsie Sioux. Thank YOU!
lol. Robert Smith actually played with Siouxsie and The Banshees for a while.
amosthree Yeah, they both influenced each others personal and musicial style quite a bit at that time too. Hell yes for small favours!
@@asabracodeaythfaerie204 Robert has said that playing with them he learnt how to be a better front man. Definitely influenced his style initially but he's taken it to another level. Just like Siouxsie he's unique style wise
Right now (right now)
It's the time and it's the place,
Right now (right now)
For a ride to outer space.
I love this woman.......
Went to see siouxsie and the banshees at St George's Hall Bradford in 84-85. She was amazing.
yikes! lip-synching?! and siouxsie looks awfully bored on this show.
chewbacca4me top of the pops was kind of an obligatory promo gig for many brit artists who obviously found it a bore and the audience a bunch of squares.
The Creatures kick the shit out of the Pussycat Dolls. btw I love Siouxsie's hair in this video, her dress is nice too..for the 80s
Matty Perron totally! Of course they do...but no comparison not EVEN in the same tier....
❤️❤️❤️❤️💥❤️❤️❤️❤️
FABULOSO RECUERDO OCHENTERO!.. UNA BANDA GENIAL, CON UNA VOCALISTA PERFECTA!...
LOVE THIS thank you for putting this up
@XmalD73 The PCD's did a version...OMFG...I don't even need to hear it to know what a travesty it will be.
Dalmaik top of the pops dancers were always shit. You should see them being weird to Miss the Girl. Laugh I nearly choked.
She's So Fucking Cool (L)
AWESOME
Effortlessly cool......
Congrats! Very good. The best I've seen around here. I remember old times, good times cameraman on The Real Oviedo and all events organized by Global Dance SL
I'd love to watch again the original video for this song . Can't find it anymore on YT or elsewhere .
man she looks alike like Robert Smith

Isn't this a cover song? Or is this their song? It sounds familiar. Cool Song.
