  • No new videos up to now because of COVID-19. I just want to share an old video on my Ground station setup.
    Antenna is a DIY 3d printed double biquad with RMRC video receiver on 1.280ghz. It is then re-transmitted using a 5.8ghz VTX to my FPV monitor/goggles.

    Nice, no need antenna tracker. I had similar setup with you, 1.2 ghz fpv and 900mhz RC, not yet test them.

      Thanks! 😁
      I only fly one direction to the mountains 25km away so I dont find the need for antenna tracker. Although diversity switch is on my list for a long time now.

    do you can make tutorials how to build your ground station?

    How do you output a video signal simultaneously to two devices, a video transmitter and a DVR 1:10? Is there a splitter or just connected directly together?

    • @MyRazerZone
      @MyRazerZone  3 года назад +1

      Hi there. The DVR I am using has an input and output. Input is connected to the 1.2ghz RX and output connected to the 5.8ghz TX to monitor/goggles.

    Thanks for the content man, you convinced me to buy a mini skyhunter and due to low budget I have to use 5.8ghz and 2.4ghz for my fpv and rc, I will upgrade to your setup or similar once I get control over it. Love your long range videos. Btw why did u switch out the 1000kv motor?

      Hi Justin. Thanks for the compliment! Which plane are you referring to? I am slowly changing the sunnysky motors to Brotherhobby Avenger motors. Lighter ang more robust.

    I've seen similar solutions, but they used two receivers with a patch antenna and clover connected in a divercity module. Do you think this would be more effective for controlling the aircraft at take-off and on return, when it might be necessary to change the trajectory for entering a flight course or for an approach?

      Hi! That or antenna tracker is the more ideal setup if money is not an issue. I always fly in 1 direction, that is west to the mountains 25km away from my flying spot and dont find the need for extra gears like tracker or diversity setup.

      I agree, the antenna tracker is for those who have completely gone from reality and imagined themselves to be a military pilot ...

    Are you flying with 900mhz..?

    • @MyRazerZone
      @MyRazerZone  4 года назад +1

      Yes I am. 915mhz to be exact. I am using R9M and R9slim+ on most of my planes bit I also have some R9mm.

    Im having difficulty getting 200mw vtxs on 1280mhz now.....I want a lower powered vtx for my GPS Quads....Otherwise it kills the GPS rx....Where are you getting yours these days...?
    Nice setup BTW, similar to what I use, although Im using a Lawmate VRX...:)

    • @MyRazerZone
      @MyRazerZone  4 года назад

      I only use cheap bangood vtx, Partom brand 800mw and another generic bangood vtx 1W. If it is possible, you can use those poles that would raise the gps higher than the vtx antenna. GPS antennas are facing up, hopefully it would lessen interference from the vtx.

    • @EnglishTurbines
      @EnglishTurbines 4 года назад

      @@MyRazerZone Yes, I have some of those, but I just dont need 800mw on a GPS Quad, its way overkill...Id buy the new Matek one but even that is fixed rf output too. The $20 200mw vtxs are difficult to find these days..:(

    Hi. I already missed your videos. What is that device that you have placed on the top left rear of the 1.2 antenna?

    • @MyRazerZone

      It is a 12V dc buck regulator 😉
      Yeah, I miss flying too. ☹
