Cutting a french horn mouthpiece - Laskey Company

Up close video of a french horn mouthpiece being cut. Normally the mouthpiece would be sprayed with coolant throughout the cutting process, but for the sake of being able to see the mouthpiece, we turned it off for this cycle.

Thank you for posting this. I wanted to try making my own trombone mouthpiece as a personal project and was stuck on how to turn the rim and mouthpiece. This was very helpful.

A lot of approach distance on those tools. What make/model of lathe is it?
