I love how fitness people turn everything into "cardio" hahah.. Snowboarding, cardio. shopping, cardio. shoveling snow, cardio. Looks like a BLAST! I am like the least coordinator person I on the planet so I totally relate to your apprehension to snowboarding.

Excited to see you guys trying one of my many outdoor adventure passions aside from fitness! I most likely will head to Mammoth this weekend cuz there's lots of snow and literally just booked a trip to Banff Canada to snowboard in Sunshine Village and Lake Louise. I highly recommend Mammoth. With this much snow, it probably won't hurt too bad if you bail on your board. Keep on adventuring!
That's on my bucket list. I'm from New England and I've never been skiing or snow boarding. 😩 I also don't like being out in the snow but it's beautiful and I know if I moved from here I would definitely miss it. I love the seasons.
I'm so glad you posted this because I'm leaving for Breckenridge in March with the boyfriend to ski and snowboard for the FIRST TIME EVER. haha should be interesting, but this video made me super excited for it!!

Also, your snowboarding skills are pretty impressive considering it was your second time. I'm absolutely terrified of skiing and snowboarding. I went skiing in Japan for the first time last year and just tumbled and cried. I had to walk back down the slopes :(

I tried snowboarding twice when I was in high school. I also fell soooo many times!! I actually ending up tearing my meniscus the last time I tried. My knee swelled up to like twice the size it is, and that was it. I stick to skiing now lol. And your board is super cool!.....and your comment "XS???!! I got gains!!" That was great! hahaha

My first snowboarding trip was so much fun. I fell down so many times going down my first two slopes. After a while I was able to go down on the steep slopes. The ski lifts weren't so bad. I would definitely go snowboarding again :)

LUCKY!! I am 25 and have never seen snow. I livee in Quincy, fl so it never snows here :( I would love to see it. Great blog it nice to see y'all take a small vacation in the snow.
I went snowboarding for the very first time this winter. I'm not a big fan of snow, too. :) But I was surprised that it wasn't that cold at all :) Here where I live in the Masurian Lake District in Poland there are a few low mountains, perfect for the beginners just like me ;) I strongly recommend to try snowboarding. A lot of fun and perfect cardio workout.

Loved this! I definitely saw you up there and had to say hi, but I probably sounded so silly. 😅 It's safe to say I was just a little star struck!
The first time for me was in 2014! I'm from Hawaii so it's not too often we play in the snow. My boyfriend and I went to Mount Charleston in Vegas, I literally CRIED!! It took me 30 minutes to get down ONCE, while my boyfriend went multiple times past me. I almost hit the ski lift! We even took classes but the instructor didn't know how to talk to a local girl 🌺

My first experience snowboarding.... it took me all day to learn and I wanted to quit SO bad! I was in so much pain from falling so much!! I was probably about 16 or 17 years old. However, it was worth it!
My first time snowboarding I fell hundreds of times and it took me almost a year to fully get the grasp of it!

I love Big Bear. went last year and tried skiing at those same slopes for the first time. I accidentally ended up on the advanced slopes my first time and pretty much rolled down the hill. yeah not my thing hahahaha

lol I tried snowboarding a couple days ago and I stayed on the bunny hill and fell every five seconds lol the hardest part is getting off the lift with one foot
I think falling 200 times is pretty typical for your first time. That is why I stick to skiing because I've been doing that since I was 5. 😝

I'm actually alright at snowboarding, but it did take me about 3 days to learn when I first started. Though 1 day was almost wasted on that I had just bought a new board for my second day of learning and the guy who set my board up for me w the bindings put my stance on backwards. Plus I was learning on ice, so 1 fall I took I twisted a vertebrae. I was 5'7.5 before that - never made it to 5'8, and then I was 5'7 after that. Getting my height measured at the same family Doctor the whole time.
When I learned how to ski it only took me a couple of hours.
I was in figure skating for over 7 yrs though, so that probably helped w learning how to ski. 😏 I learned how to ski when I was 12, and I picked up snowboarding when I was 19.
