I've never been much of a MM fan but have always had nothing but the greatest respect for his skill and commitment. Over the past year I've even taken to criticising him for dangerous riding, but my gosh I certainly am starting to become a huge fan. Since 2019 this man has been staring at nothing but lady luck's arse, first with a host of serious potentially career-ending health issues and then with a Honda that's completely lost their way. Despite all the setbacks and horrible comments, he simply never gives anything but 110%, and it's been heart rending to the man struggle this past weekend, he spent more time working on his suntan in the sand traps than on that dangerous damn machine he's seemingly stuck with this year! I've watched all of his crashes multiple times in slo-mo and both the front and rear just lets go without any serious load even on them, how the heck does he ride something like that and Honda definitely has no answer, they're feeling their way around in the dark wasting Marc's last years of his career. He has the talent, will and determination to beat Rossi, but unfortunately not the time!

Marc and Quartararo just have to realistically wait for better chance of becoming competitve again by joining different manufacturers I guess. So has Honda. I would have given up if I were the brand's top management. There are many ways to ride this situation out by either going all-in like KTM has been doing or calmly and quietly riding out the current Donna and Repsol (who I guess by now is also wanting out) contracts and then focusing on making their road bikes, which they have alway done great without having this costly prototype machine with a V-4 engine, pneumatic valve control, ride height riding and launching control, carbon brake discs, aerodynamics faring everywhere etc.none of which is really applicable to the everyday road bikes or the company's bottom line.

You know what? I find it pretty amusing how everyone talks trash about him, but in a way, I see Marquez as a lot like Senna. Just like Senna, was both loved and hated. People often labeled Senna as reckless and claim he always pushed the limits unnecessarily. Now, here's the thing (and I really don't want this to happen, seriously), but I can't help but wonder if Marquez would be considered a legend or a god like Senna if something tragic went down. Because let's face it, they share that same intense spirit on the track, both excelling in their respective sports and pushing for every gap, every inch of the asphalt, virtuosos they are. And we gotta hand it to Marquez and admire him for his on-track attitude, even if it doesn't sit well with everyone. It's disheartening to see misleading videos or hear calls for him to be banned when all I see is a man trying to make the most of what he has, dealing with the limitations of his bike in a sport that's gradually becoming more noncompetitive like Formula 1, with aerodynamics taking away some of the excitement. I really miss the days of a healthy and thrilling rivalry in MotoGP in Rossi time.

The feedback from the riders in the team helps develop the motorcycles, Marquez has been the lead rider for Honda for many years, but they tended to follow Pedrosa's detailed feedback on the motorcycle to help develop it, because Marquez would just ask for more power and didn't understand the technicalities of the handling. The Honda development has gone backwards since Pedrosa left Honda and they are left to just Marquez's input, and see how much KTM has improved since Pedrosa became their test rider... Being a goat isn't all about riding as fast as you can and crashing, its also about understanding the machinery you are on, what it is doing beneath you, and how to convey that to the engineers... Honda are the richest motorcycle brand, and have the most money to develop motorcycles, but if their lead rider cant develop a motorcycle then they are blind as to what route to take...

His desperation to get on another bike, then another bike, to prove he still has 'it' to be a winner. Sadly he's lost whatever he had. In 2023 Marquez has become a kamikaze pilot.
