Hwasa has had a llllot of criticism about her body. In the earlier days before kpop was as global she got a lot of shit for being a little curvier than Korean standard and they would call her fat and unfit to be and idol and stuff (even though if she was almost anywhere else in the world she would be considered skinny). Then when it she became more confident in herself and it was more popular to be a bit curver, people would be mad at her for being to sexy or for being to revealing. Ive been just a casual mamamoo fan for a long while, so a deeper fan might be able to explain it better than me.
Ughhhhhh, I wish she didn't have to go through that. She's literally beautiful and I don't know whaaaaaat the heck the Korean beauty standards are missing, but that's just wrong that they're criticizing her. She's A STUNNER! 😍
Yes to this day Hwasa gets hate comments about her looks. These people are ruthless. They are cruel. And they are relentless. She puts on a brave face and tries to not let it bother her, but every so often it overwhelms her. I can right now go to any video or short that is related to her and find recent comments tearing her down for her physical features or her style. There is nothing off limits to these people. The song was actually a gift to her from Psy. She had just spent the night crying over a huge wave of hate messages she received when they landed in New York for the US tour. She said it wasn't really her style but it made her feel better when she listened to it, so she decided to record it. BTW you also are very pretty.
I hate that she has gone through this. She's literally so STUNNING, but beyond that she's incredibly talented and sweet and hilarious and so many other things. Why do the beauty standards have to be so intense in Korea?!?!? That story about Psy giving her the song is really sweet, though.
