About me:
I am a Travel Consultant with over 20 years of experience in group travel and land packages etc. After several requests I started doing Travel Vlogs in late 2018 and more actively Aruba Walks & Vlogs in 2020.
I think it's a important thing to mention for people outside of Aruba, which is that "Lunch" in Aruba is more like Dinner in the US, as in that in Aruba the main meal of the day is eaten around midday between noon and 2pm ish. This is why Hyro's "Lunch" was so big for a lunch, it's because that was his main meal for the day.
Yes Exactly. I think we eat somewhat opposite to the Dutch in that regards.
Wow u guys did great with the $20.00 challenge. Cool video Hyro. I would have spent that $20.00 so fast.
Perhaps we will do another one in the future. It was fun to film and we think we could have other options too.
Thank you for doing that! Nice to see other places to eat that are different from the other restaurants 😋
No problem 😊 glad to help!
Cute, cute, cute! And, what a great idea for viewers to reference. Setting a daily budget is so practical and important these days anywhere. Thanks mucho!
Glad to help :-)
This was tons of fun! Thank you both!
Our pleasure!
Hello Hyro and Marleen! Great video! The one thing I failed to do on my 2 visits ( Sept 2022 & 2023 ) to ARUBA was to research the food wagons and local eateries. I did however have some tasty food at the food truck that parks at BUSHIRIBANA. Next time I will order my meal, climb to the top and enjoy it there..... for all to see!!
Thank you so much dear friend! We hope to feature more food related videos in the coming months. Be careful whenever to climb up there!
What a great challenge Hyro and Marleen. I always challenge myself n a strict budget in Aruba. My limit was $15 a day including bus , my public pool admission ( in Savaneta ) and all my 3 meals. I relied a lot on your video of free things to do in Aruba. I took very long walks which were very rewarding and I spent a lot of time at beautiful beaches. At the end of the week if I stuck to my $15 a day I would splurge and treat myself to coffee and a treat at Starbucks or cheap ice creams. I always planed one expensive activity or tour during my three week stays. For example, Renaissance island which I did last time . I did my groceries at Save on foods. It was really hard because Aruba is full of wonderful restaurants and places to go. I wanted to prove to people that you don’t need to spend tons of money to go to Aruba and you can still have an awesome time which I always do.😊 Great video and thank you ! Cheers from Santa Marta Colombia 😊😊
Wow, yes it's not easy but certainly possible. Thank you for all your tips!
Very nice! Thanks for highlighting some interesting places to grab a bite. Good point that you don't need to buy water in Aruba . That saved us some money last time. Drone shots are amazing too❤
Thank you so much! There are certainly more than a few cheaper options on the island 😊 and we had a fun time filming and giving you a few ideas.
Cool food challenge!! I liked your dinner, Hyro, that’s my fav. meal almost every friday when weekend starts and not being into cooking myself after a working week😜 until the next one!
Idd Heel lekker, thanks for watching, see you in the next one!
Love these videos❤
Glad you like them Angela☺️
10 more days until we land and you just proved that you can survive with little funds but we did budget for a little more after all it's a vacation perhaps we will meet you two at the Santos market thanks for another great video enjoy the rest of your day cheers
Thanks Paul☀️🏝️Yes better to have a bigger budget😊
That wouldn't cover my bar bill :)... love the content as always
Thanks again Frederick😊
Honestly I didn't think you would make it but you both had good meals. Nice job!
Me neither but we made it☺️👍🏼
You can’t go wrong with the snack shacks throughout the island, they have excellent pricing. Just comes down to preference and everyone has their favorite spots.
Exactly :-)
Counting down the days 10 days to go for us to be enjoying Aruba ❤
Hope you enjoy it!
Great video!!
Glad you enjoyed it
@@LetsgowithHyro I’ll be there may 31 to review some of the places you mentioned in the video!
I would like to just fly to Aruba, stay somewhere very cheap, even a tent in someone's backyard (lol), eat very small down there, nuts, some fruit, lots of fasting, maybe a beer at the end of each afternoon in the sun. Can you suggest any cheap accomodations?
Will try to work on it for a next time.
Fun video! We'll have to try that challenge next time. What am I going to to without my Starbucks coffee? I wonder how much a cup of coffee costs at Super Food or Lings.
Thanks Pagie :-) We had the coffee at the Super Food the other day and it was much cheaper than Starbucks and yet very good too!
Bon Tardi, great food challenge for $20.
Yes it was😊
Great video! My husband and I always eat frugally when we visit Aruba. One of our favorite places is Ora’s Bar and Grill near Seroe Colorado. Outstanding food, large portions, and very reasonably priced. Ora and her daughter are SO nice!! 🇦🇼 ❤️
Thank you so much! We will have to check that one out! Thanks for the tip.
Can you pls put the names of the takeout places you visited ? Thank you for your informative video .
Hi☺️ They are all in the video (see the text).
Very cool video
Glad you enjoyed it🙂
