Synopsis: Originally based on Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman’s international best-selling novel, Good Omens 2 explores storylines that go beyond the original source material to illuminate the ineffable friendship between Aziraphale (Michael Sheen), a fussy angel and rare-book dealer, and the fast-living demon Crowley (David Tennant). Having been on Earth since The Beginning, and with the Apocalypse thwarted, the duo are getting back to easy living amongst mortals in London’s Soho. That is, until the archangel Gabriel (Jon Hamm) turns up unexpectedly at the door of Aziraphale's bookshop with no memory of who he is or how he got there. While Crowley is leery as to why the archangel has come to the bookshop, Aziraphale is keen to solve the mystery behind Gabriel’s condition. However, hiding the archangel from both Heaven and Hell quickly disrupts their lives in unforeseen ways. To solve this mystery and thwart Heaven and Hell in the process, the duo will need more than a miracle; they’ll need to once again rely on each other.

Hah! That’d be great 😆 i’d love to hear him read some of it too! I’ve heard some actors say they don’t read fanfiction because it changes the way they see the characters they play, but I hope that Michael and David , and the other cast members have read some fanfic together just for fun 😁

After watching season 2 I found it so funny that throughout the interview they're trying SO hard to say what they can without getting in trouble. It's hilarious seeing them all verbally tiptoe around the events of S2E6.

I am so reassured and glad that Rob has given it the STP stamp of approval. It's important to me that there is Terry's influence still there.
David & Michael fell so easily into the roles of Crowley & Aziraphale. They are so natural in those roles it’s as if they are wearing their own skins.
I can't even begin to express how much I love this and how excited I am... I just think season 2 is going to be absolutely wonderful and exceed our hopes and expectations in all the best ways!! 🥰🥰🥰

I'm delighted by this, and I'm sure we're in very good hands with Neil, but there is a part of me that will sorely miss Terrry's contributions.
I heard from another interview that S1 was mostly accurate to the parts Terry Pratchett wrote for the book and the parts that were cut out likely due to it being long and they had to *fit the story in 6 episodes were Neil Gaiman's parts (the one who decided this was Gaiman himself so I've heard). So I'd like to think of this as S1 being the child that took after Pratchett and S2 being the child that took after Gaiman.
It's supposed to be based on what Terry and Neil discussed doing with the story going forward so in a way he's automatically part of it.

THAT'S WHAT I THOUGHT. season 1 is like an actual series but season 2 feels like a fanfic, like those really long and well made fanfictions but still fanfiction that isn't a professional thing, some people might not like it, i did, i have some mix thoughts but i don't care, I loved the fanfiction feel to it i never seen a piece of media making a show having that specific fanfiction feeling without making it a bad piece of media 😭❤️

Definitely what it felt like to me too. Season 1 was the adaptation of Good Omens. Season 2 was the fanfic based on the adaptation of Good Omens. Outside of a couple of episodes of Supernatural, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like it.

I think its more like the beginning of episode 3 but maybe as more sporadic, in the moment, flashbacks!
@@godfrey_approves The reason I ask is because there are several scenes in there with one or more characters in period costume. So it looks like viewers will see the characters in other time periods somehow, whether that's through time travel, flashbacks, dream/hypothetical sequences, or other narrative devices.

I watched the the whole season yesterday to get myself distracted from my Baldur's Gate 3 Hype, and then friggin Tim Downie appears. He voices one of the main characters in Baldur's Gate 3 (the wizard Gale), and I was just like "NOOO, There's no escape, WHY?!"

I binge-watched it the moment it came out (01:00 hrs July 28 2023). Against enormous internal pressures to tell just a few of the Wonderful Things within, I refuse! OK, OK. Just one thing. The last 4 or 5 mins are a cliffhanger setup for ... Series 3! Be amused, be amazed, be delighted. Thank you Neil, and team - and the Overseeing Sprit of Terry. Sorely missed, yet always with us in comfort.
i love everry one envolved in this series and the upcoming season. It's so amazin to have the people working on it acknowledge and appreciate their fans. Can't wait for season two!!!

I too am experiencing my first fandom at later age and loving it! The word didn't even exist, I don't think, when I was young, or I was too square to know it, anyway. It's lots of fun. There's too much love in and around this show not to be obsessed with it.
