    Thanks for that. I been using obsidian since 2021. i do Love spreadsheets, use it daily and the new table intergration in Obsidian and community plugin are the perfect add-ons for my vaults. This video encourages me to reconsider adding tables into my notes, when needed❤

    hi. Do you happen to know if we can do auto numbering for the tables and also figures?

      I don't believe so. As capable as Obsidian is, it's easy to forget that it is a simple layer on top of markdown files and doesn't do everything under the sun.

    My table is quite big , I want to decrease the width of the column to fit it in one page. How to change width

      @plus1creator  2 месяца назад

      Look under the settings of the plug in and change the column or card width. Should do the trick.

    🤔SINCE you mentioned templater… If anyone uses a table template, you have a workout table template to keep with the example in this vid, you can easily customize it by adding specific exercises or time intervals. For instance, you could include options like 'pull-ups' or 'push-ups', and '5 minutes' or '10 minutes' into your table rows. This lets you alternate between different variables, such as types of exercises or durations, directly within your table. All you’d need is to insert something like “” or “ into your table rows. You can add as many as you’d like into the brackets.
    Or, you could use the good ol
    Great video. 👍🏻

    the only downside about obisidian is the tables being hard to create sometimes

      I got used to using the command palette. CMD+P, then type "table," and you'll see the option "Add Table" BOOM you're in!

      If you go into settings > hotkeys and then search for something like insert table (or add table I think) and set a hotkey you should be able to insert a table into your page with the press of a button. I personally set it to one of my function row keys. There is also the commander plugin which will let you put the insert table function in your ribbon or wherever you want it to be.

      Yep, custom hotkeys is magnificent.

    Great video! Do you know how to center the table to the page?

    • @plus1creator
      @plus1creator  6 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you! If you wanted to center a table it would be a CSS snippet or something else. This is a deep rabbit hole and I explain why in this one: ruclips.net/video/y6mE99s11fA/видео.html

      any luck? I am also trying to put the tables in the centre

    • @plus1creator
      @plus1creator  5 месяцев назад +1

      @@hopesonhigh For me, I just make sure "readable line length" is selected, and then tables fill the whole width without being too wide.

      @@plus1creator for some reason it didn't work for me. I am trying to find a way to keep the whole table in the centre...

      This is one of the frustrating parts of Obsidian. Sometimes there seems to be such a simple thing that you want to do, but there's no obvious way to do it. I wish I had an answer for you. The fact that there are multiple plug-ins & themes that all can affect how your vault renders means you'd likely need someone to get their hands on your vault specifically, and that's way above my pay grade.

    I followed you exactly, and when I typed the final pipe on the second line nothing happened. Why?

    • @plus1creator
      @plus1creator  6 месяцев назад

      I always like to start with the silly stuff first: 1) do you have advanced tables? 2) have you disabled all other plugins & then tried to set up a table to identify any potential conflicts with how it works? Then turned on each plugin one at a time to identify which one it is?

      I'd have to agree with you there. For me, the trade offs in other areas keeps me with Obsidian, but I get that it's not for everyone.
