Great video Two things that I like to do is #1 I use a 5.1.1 winch and I like a crankbait with no rattles I think a lot of people use too fast of a reel
I change what speed of reel I use depending on the depth of the crank bait. My medium deep to deep divers go slow. But I like a faster reel for shallow diving
Great content, well presented, concise and to the point. Would appreciate similar videos on all the basic bass fishing lures. Thx and keep up the good work 😊
This has been very helpful, cause I will waist a lot time learning how to fish my crank baits. I have resonantly pick bass fishing back up after about 40 years and your videos have really taught me a lot. Thanks again,
Great info , this saturday i plan on going to academy and picking up pink crankbaits and pink and white baits , so i can have tackle binders with barbie pink and white baits so i can search for them then once i search for them i can figure out what depth they are on , because for God knows why pink and white work best in muddy and chocolate milk coffe cream conditions.
In my experience, especially in heat of summer, you wanna really dig into the bottom, hard cracking into everything. Lightly bumping it doesnt do trick, u trying to get a reaction bite. They still hook up good cuz when its digging into rocks and bottom, Bill is down, Tail is up, tail treble grabs em. But during spring and fall, yes, typically you wanna lightly ding the bottom.
Does the crankbait have to hit the bottom or the cover? My fishery is a highland reservoir, the water is extremely deep and there is no weeds, no grass, no laydown trees,...When I fishing shallow water with crankbait especially squarebill crank bait, like KVD 1.5, megabass s crank 1.5 so on so forth, they just can't dive enough to hit the bottom. So it has been bothering me.
Very helpful video! One question on replacing treble hooks. How do you know what size to get? Availability in person at stores is sometimes slim. So do you have any tips on finding the correct replacement size when buying online?
Most crankbaits are either size 2, 4, or 6. Personally I have all 3 sizes on standby so that when I want to switch them I can approximately see what size I am replacing to try and match them. After you change them enough times you will be able to just look at them and know
I think it depends on your rod selection. If your using a “crank bait” rod fluorocarbon is the way to go. If you have a more stiff rod (MH) that’s not designed for cranking, mono will do better.
That's because you caught all the aggressive bass by digging the bottom. What about the lethargic bass that need a different presentation but still are passive aggressive.
Love your videos. I've learned so much about what I never really knew as an angler basically self taught. Thanx so much and please don't stop!

The only Crankbait I don’t change the hook on is Spro Crankbaits. They come with really good Gamakatsu hooks. Great video!!!
Thanks Tyler, great information and will definitely use, keep it up doing a great job.

what line size do you prefer for a square bill?
How do you know what size hook is on your crankbait ?
Thanks for the great info 👍
Good info crankbaits have been good to me this time of year
Awesome video!! You should do one about lipless crankbaits and the difference
I agree. The lipless is definitely one of my weaknesses.
Agreed! And difference between how to work a twitch vs slash or jerk bait
I switched all of my crankbait hooks over to VMC Black Nickel round bend hooks.
Great video, great info. I enjoy your channel.
Dude well done. Thanks!
Thank you for this information great video 📹 👍
Awesome tips as always

@@FullTimeFishing I like that answer$$$

Good video thanks
Great topic
Good advice, would love to have a hat
They are 25% off right now! finnfishing.com/products/bass-hat
I’m in fort with red crank still killing it down here
Are crankbaits good for perch/pike ?
Yes, anything thats agressive including perch. But especially pike

I learn
I fish crank baits in river current. I throw up river from shore
Is that a Speed Trap in the thumbnail? 🤔
No. No. No. I sharpen my hooks on a regular basis.....even good hooks. absolutely no problem.
💪
I make bass fishing videos too and put out tips and fishing videos-check them out. Keep up the good work.
My only complaint on this angler is he is a Okuma guy…. Jk lol 😆
Hey bro quit hinting at a “long lining” video lol
Ok the more you talk. The more
