The dry down is where the magic is for this. I do agree with some of your takes on it, especially in opening
I was interested to see what people thought of this one. People in one of the facebook groups I'm in were hyping it up, then the next week others were hating on it. Interesting to see an actual review of it, much appreciated!

I really wanted to like it... I like the dry down though! It's just kind of vanilla... 😂
My first impression was similar… My wife was actually nauseated from my first and only wearing so far… longevity is stellar…. I’m still going to give it a chance.
I hated it at first. Then I caught a wiff of it later on and it smells good. It's off the beaten path so I like it.

Appreciate your review Nate as always. This is going to be a pass for me as I don't like Coconut in frags, and I'm also not a big fan of powdery accords. Something I do want to sample for upcoming warm season is Mancera French Riviera and Aqua Wood.
I love coconut and suntan lotion smell, so this seems like it might be exactly what I'm looking for.
It's like you went swimming in the ocean and sitting in a hot car after. I wore it to work yesterday and our air conditioning went out I did not get any compliments 😢
This comes off as "Coconut ice cream" on me.
Of course...that's after about an hour on my skin.
Saving up for 2 backup bottles now that it's down to $30 most places.
I think the dry down is amazing really. I do not get sun tan lotion. I get incense coconut and iris and black pepper In the dry down

Funny I see people saying it's hyped but the reviews I've seen don't reflect that. This sounds like something I'd like honestly, but in no rush. I wonder what it smells like when it's a bit more mature. These middle eastern frags usually need some time to marinate
Its odd but the dry down changes it. I wonder if maceration would change that opening.
The dry down is just vanilla incense. It's actually quite nice in the dry down.
I let it sit for a couple of weeks thinking the same and it actually got worse to my nose.

do you think it has a masculine scent profile? and do you think its good for casual occasions like school? if so how many sprays to be noticed but not too overwhelming
I would say that this scent profile is not overly masculine. It's straight unisex.
As far as sprays, I would say stick around 3 to start. See how that plays and then up to 4-5 if you can't smell it.
A good indication that you're smelling good is if you can smell yourself a little bit. Other people can smell you a lot.
I don’t hate it, but like you said, it gave me suntan lotion vibes, and when it comes to a fragrance I’m wearing, I’m not sure it has a place in my summer rotation. I didn’t get the powdery note so much, but salty coconut - oh yeah. In spades. “Odd” is a good way to put it. Not off putting in any way, just odd. Don’t hate it, just can’t imagine wearing it anywhere but on a cruise ship or beach.
I was so excited to get my nose on this. As soon as I sprayed it I immediately didn’t like it. It has that creamy coconut and like a nutty scent to it. I wish I never pre-ordered this. Smh.
"Weird" is a good word for this one ! At first sniff....I said..."Uh....what..???". Still trying to figure this one out....but my first impressions remain....not great...so far
THIS has to totally grow on me, this is absolutely not a FIRST IMPRESSION type of fragrance, ironically.. its best after the dry down, and honestly the black pepper opening ruins it for me but this has one of the best dry downs ive ever smelled in my life and if you can layer it with another spice and/or aquatic you can easily neutralize and get adapted to the black pepper in it eventually..
It has to macerate like all Lattafas
So, better ti get le beau paradise garden?

@@ParagonFragrances Zanzibar is not yet avaulable in Europe but Paradise garden is and I'd say its one of the better coconut creamy sandalwood frags. I will get asad once it gets here and try.
I just got this today, ya dry down seems a little off to me, I liked the opening. Have you smelled any of those dumont nitro fragrances?
No, haven't smelled them yet planning on it soon.
Im hearing different things...& of course it all depends on your nose. I heard one person say it is *not* the sun tan lotion smell. I heard another said they couldn't smell *any* iris....soooo.....yeah.
I don't know how you can't smell the iris. That's a bit of a head scratcher. 🤔

the stinky black pepper smell tends to fade away when it dries down, but give this one a chance its truly a "Grower not a shower" lol..
