Writing fiction requires so much work and thought and discipline . Unusual people have the patience and the time to devote themselves to this endeavor . How do they do it

Not only a novel creates intimacy between two strangers. Music can do this too. If you listen to music, or even better if you play yourself a piece written down (you get in touch with the composer). Or, best thing ever, play together with someone. You have to feel the music together, be yourself and at the same time listen carefully to the other. In this moment you can have the most beautiful intimacy with a complete stranger.

But it’s not the same, music requires less of the audience
