I’m a new player. Just started last week. I’ve noticed that when they have white armor I one mag them and I think it’s great. But against even green I just dump the mag hitting about every shot and I just die trying to squirm say reloading if it’s a face to face
Are you familiar with the penetration system and how damage buffs or mitigation is applied? I haven't played the new tutorial but I doubt it's explained very well, I have a comment on the reddit I can copy paste here for you if you'd like
@@SpoonFPS I didnt until i watched at youtube video a couple hours ago lol. I do well in pvp, i try to not get myself into a attrition fight standing in front of each other hoping the other goes down. I just mean the times that happed with that gun i ran out bammo and they did not lol Also the tutorial doesn't cover pvp other than telling you its a thing.
@@metrobertL7 if you're running out of ammo before them, and they're not dead, i'm sorry to say but you're missing; the recoil in this game is brutal. That and headshots in this game are pretty massive, if you hit one more headshot than they do, chances are you're winning the fight. If you find yourself losing very often, try to play the fights out as long as possible I.E. find a head glitch (place where only your head or less is visible, but you can still see them) and abusing those green stims like you're playing Apex.
ruclips.net/video/lSuVewataX0/видео.html All of this is still current for recoil patterns. Also I'm not sure what video you watched and how simplified or complex it was so I think this may still be helpful This was my comment from a similar post a couple months ago, hope it helps explain a few things. You can head to the wiki page like Kermit linked for you, but if that isn't detailed enough then hopefully this helps. Over penetration acts like a damage buff against your target and under penetration absorbs damage, while equal penetration and armour values apply damage as stated. Penetration mods work by increasing the penetration of a weapon to either increase damage or reduce damage mitigation. Pen mods are important for 3 reasons, to get into them let's take a mid range gun with us in an example, the ICA Guarantee, coming in at a nice easy 10 damage and 20 penetration. So, obviously against 20 armour value 10 damage is being applied to the target. Using the math supplied by the wiki team, a green penetration mod of +1 would mean an increase of damage by 3% to 10.3 damage. A blue pen mod results in a 5.7% increase to 10.57. A purple pen mod results in an 8.3% increase to 10.83. This might not seem relevant but a flat damage increase is the first of the 3 reasons. The 2nd reason is that there are different hitboxes on a players character model that apply different damage multiplicity of any penetration damage buffs or mitigations. From what I remember seeing, there are 4 hitboxes, head, upper torso, stomach and legs. The headshot multiple is determined by the weapon used, in this case an assault rifle with a multiplier of 1.7. The upper torso is a 1:1 ratio, the hips/crotch is a 1.1:1 ratio and the legs were 0.9:1. But, because these multipliers are multiplied to the penetration damage adjustments above that means that a base headshot would do 17 no pen mod. 17.51 with green, 17.97 with blue and 18.41 with purple. For leg shots a purple pen mod nearly negates any change in damage, as if it were a torso shot. The 3rd reason is that while all of this isn't in whole number increases in damage, the health system appears to account for the decimal point adjustments. Meaning 10 upper body shots with a green pen mod would do 103 damage in total, not 100. Main source for this is the after raid screen information and instances where you have "taken 100 damage" but are still alive with 0 hp. A 4th reason, outside of pvp, is that all of this is transferable to pve aswell.
For pvp there's not much better it's crazy, mostly because the increased damage makes up for the damage fall off over range so it's even more effective lol. I do love the mk2 ar55 though... went on like a 50 odd kill streak with 1, including a drill counter
Although the game says it's pvevp it's very much so more pvp with a few mobs that may serve as a distraction/nuisance during pvp or just a way to farm money. Occasionally you will find friendly players but it's pretty rare, I play the game for pvp and even I will be friendly at times though
The ar55, bolt and pdw can be gotten fairly easily by running your free loadouts. I've not seen the scarab or manti in one though, all can be found in raid too
@@B-Shep All MK.II weapons have a +1 damage and +5 Penetration stat increase over their standard counterparts. You can find them anywhere you can find weapons, loose spawn locations, weapon boxes, stashes, dumpsters, etc.
Tend to get the ar55, pdw and bolt uncommonly from the free loadout system, scarabs I've found pretty consistently in janitors at starport admin, never found the manti but probably high tier weapon boxes etc
The MK.II PDW is amazing I love using it, The MK.II Manticore is super strong as well.
I finally got the mk2 manti today!
you just gotta emote to get rid of the glitch
nice, well played

Run a bulldog as your secondary

The T1 PDW is the menacing T1 SMG. I can just imagine how stupidly good MK.II is
Honestly feels about the same which is hilarious. The ttk is probably only a fraction faster with the mk2, just a gun thing cos it shoots soooo fast
to fix invis gun just emote
What is that red dot your running on the pdw?
thats the holographic sight
The MK.II PDW has better handling than any blue gun. Being able to track players is so easy I might even prefer running it to a flechette

When your gun is invis like that, do an emote ;)
Most of the time when it goes invisible is when you need it the most lol, but yes, emote, banner, stim all work
Double bolty is my current go to for solos lmfao I’m out here playing cod in cycle 😂
Free loadout run with a mk2 bolt and red dot, found a white bolt with a holo that raid lol, was fun I know where you are coming from
Hear me out hear me out ….. the hammer should be able able to have the red dot site and only the red dot site
An argument as old as the cycle itself
@@SpoonFPS miss you man we should run some raids again sometime
It’s kinda sad that you kill every body even people without gear trying to complete their missions.
IMO
Nice to see Yager has fixed the topology of their maps.
Christ - still the same sticking points from the beta man.
Fix your maps Yager.

pretty common issue with the last few months where player direction isnt accurate
you think killing white armor with your mk. 2 and purple guns is impressive, cringe af
it needs a nerf
