Great interview! Chris is a buddy of mine, has provided me with amazing consulting services for my RUclips channel, and is just an all-around good guy. I thought I knew him pretty well, but learned even more about him through your questions, so thanks for that. It's amazing to me that anyone who is diagnosed with something bad - can take that news and instead of being sedentary and feeling sorry for himself, he gave up the BS corporate world, said F*** it, and did what he wanted to do. Something tells me he's happier now than he's ever been. So thanks, Thairish Times, I've sub'd your channel, well done sir, and I look forward to more great videos from you and Chris both! Cheers.
Nice interview. Great story. 7-11 coffee is great - infinitely better than S***bucks at a reasonable price and available on every corner. My 19yr old son (half Thai/British) is living, studying and working in Bristol. I hope he develops the same sense of adventure, humour and creativity as Chris has. Travel with cats is not an issue - some RUclips creators are doing that. Chris is a clever guy, learning Thai will surely not be so difficult for him. Subscribed to his channel now.
I think long walks are great. Good for you. I did them too while living in Manila for eleven years. Don’t really need to explain to anyone why. It’s his business. Good for him that he is getting off his ass and exercising. It’s also a good way to feel better. Releasing more endorphins in the brain which raises up your mood. He has gone through some tough times. Moments. So by walking a lot this helps in how you think. Feel. About yourself and the world around you. Good for him!
What a wonderful nutter! Love it, I hope Chris can support himself with his new channel. Kudos for promoting both him and a refreshing soul to be interviewed by you Pete.
I found Chris's channel a couple of weeks ago ....really love his quirky content. Brilliant, made me smile. I wish Chris all the best for his future, love his positive attitude.
First thing I noticed Pete; Chris has a Gold RUclips award on the wall. That is one million subscriber?. So, he has been around the RUclips block. Great interview, I always enjoy them. I wish Chris great success on the new channel. I will be checking it out.
You never fail to trump your self with an ever increasing catalogue of interesting stories and people. You have a knack for it . I have said before somewhere That your interview style is excellent.
One great point made. When you walk you see so many more things. Little great discoveries. That way. Why I do walk more when in Southeast Asia. Or anywhere.
Good story Pete. I just watched his walk to Pattaya series. Crazy stuff and that much editing deserves views. As for your videos, they are just missing you sing at the end. It's the new thing.
Walked over 30000+ km last year's. The road is addictive so to say. Wildcamping in every day new places and meeting many characters along the way. Harsh weather conditions etc. You don't need much to enjoy!!!!
I watched this guy's full walk across the whole BTS. Can't believe he's only got 300 subscribers, it's top quality. "I'm so exhausted, I can't wait to get back to my cat, my sofa, my fridge full of beer. Oh and my Wife"
@@ThairishTimes > finally made it to Thailand Brother.... it's everything ++ > have connected with Expat Buddy's of Yours that are now mutual Friends we have in common (Chris & Adam) 👍

Great interview and a refreshing perspective on actually living life instead of existing. That camera Chis used on his walk is astonishing - I noted Dan the Man has one now which he is using to great effect in Japan - what is that one you have = amazing! BTW - subbed to @willwalker555 got a binge coming on...
One needs no justification or reason for doing a Long March. The problems with a long footslog in Thailand are things like barking dogs, biting dogs, rabid dogs, and traffic, including drunken drivers. I would LOVE to walk from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai, and would, gladly, if I were able to find a safe path, places to sleep every 15 to 20 klicks, and a bottle of bear spray for the packs of dogs I might meet. I might prefer to walk with a Thai partner, a female preferably, who could more easily negotiate the hazards involved. CM to CR would be a beautiful walk with the mountains and the tea plantations. (Unfortunately, most Thai women prefer to stay out of the sun, and it might be difficult to find a Thai girl who could see the value in a stroll such as this.) Interviews about walking places are always interesting.
@Walk3r Having spent decades in Taiwan, you are correct that the dogs in the countryside can be very aggressive. The Taiwanese love the black, often brown, Taiwanese "tugou" native to the island, as well as the imported guard dog or hunting dog from Japan which is fierce. The best places to do long walks in Taiwan are along the east coast of Taiwan where the terrain is mountainous and less densely populated. ((Long walks to a specific destination is about the most enjoyable thing one can do, and rejuvenative for the spirit, for sure. Perfectly understandable, even under a hot sun!))
Hello mate, this is that gentleman (wow never called that before) feel free to click my name and itll bring you there. I changed the channel name to Walk4r
He should do some walks in the Philippines, Malaysia or Myanmar as most people can speak a reasonable level of English, I’am sure his interactions will be way more interesting 🤔. He reminds me of Eddie Izzard, also a complete eccentric!
Bet you don't miss the polluted air of BK and Chiang Mai. I recall your video of a Scandinavian dude you interviewed who left Thailand with his family for Europe because of the poor air quality.
My. Wife & I. did the .. Shimanami Kaido ... Bike. Ride, Over (6) IsLands in the SETOUCHI ... AREA ...HIROSHIMA PREFECTURE. BEAUTIFUL. BIKE. RIDE. TRY IT ... YOULL. LOVE. IT....
What about the Chinese wife? HangZhou, or maybe Suzhou, girls are most beautiful, it is said. Having over 40-years of experience with Chinese girls, from various provinces, it would have been nice to hear more about this topic. There are many differences between Chinese women and Thai women and Chinese-Thai women, due to cultural influences and family expectations. Chinese culture has changed radically since the year 1949. If you can find a bride who was born pre-revolution, this would be my choice. Never marry a Maoist, and always remember Jiang Qing of the Gang of Four...Because...Mao's last wife turned out to be a terror, and the same thing can happen to you, in time....Just ask Mao Zedong.
Hhhmm don’t get it would u do it without camera or any influence from you t. Thai must laugh over u . Hope u enjoy it and don’t go near capital it’s not healthy to walk around smokes 😮
